Before the Gina K release party this month Melanie issued a challenge based on her new stamp set called 'Hand in Hand'. You were supposed to make a card, 3D project of scrapbook page that reflects a memory of yours. Well after thinking it over I wanted to share with everyone a story about my Mom and my Grandma. Nine years ago my Grandma passed away and one of the things she left my Mom was a very pretty ornament and an Angel that my Mom adored and always put on the Christmas tree. Well two years ago the Angel broke, it some how slipped from the very top of the tree and she has not had the heart to replace it with another angel yet, instead we now use a star at the top of the tree. I know that every time she looks at the ornament that we still have she thinks about my Grandma, I know it makes her feel like she’s with us somehow in that ornament. This year my Mom has only asked for one thing for Christmas from each of us, she wants an ornament for her Christmas tree, so I am trying at the moment to find one that in some way will be as special as my Grandma's ornament. I think I will find an ornament that she loves, and when I do I plan on giving it to her with this card. Thank you for reading and looking.Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Faux Tearing
Happy Monday all! Time to share another Pretties creation! This was my first card using the Stamp of the Month for January Gliding By. At the last Pretties release party Charmaine challenged everyone to create a card using the faux tearing technique, I had never tried this one out and I had a lot of fun. I stamped the snowflakes from the newly re-released Snowflake Kisses stamp set in VersaMark and then embossed the images in Vanila SU! embossing powder. I then used the faux tearing technique on the same paper and layered the background paper on some blue and white cardstock. I used my Nestabilities for layering Sophia on some bashful blue paper and I also shifted the image so that she was off centered on the oval. I finished the card off with some sheer metallic ribbon and lots of frosted lace stickles. I had so much fun trying this technique and using this image for the first time. If you have never been to a Pretties party be sure to stop by and join all the fun on the next one, you will have a blast! Have a great day everyone, thanks for stopping by!Stamps: Gliding By, Snowflake Kisses from Paper Pretties; Paper: Whisper White, Bashful Blue; Ink: E00 Skin White, E97 Deep Orange, C1 Cool Grey No. 1, B14 Light Blue, Pacific Point; Accessories: White Embossing Powder, May Arts Metallic Silver Ribbon, Frosted Lace Stickles, Regular and Scalloped Nestabilities

Some MFT Creations
I shared with you the other day the project I created for the My Favorite Thing Release Challenge, but I haven't shared my cards for the Ambassador Challenges. Every month I forget that two lucky ladies host an Ambassador Challenge in the MFT forum in conjunction with the release party, well this month I remembered! I got the chance to not only create a card for one of the challenges, but I was able to make something for both, and I got lucky enough for my order to arrive, so I got to ink up two new sets as well! The first challenge was to create a card with a bit of blue and at least three buttons, so I pulled out my new Snow Bunny Flopsey and got to work! Isn't this Flopsey just too cute, I love him! I went with the winter theme and picked the blue shades that matched the background paper and a light brown button to match his little cup of hot chocolate.
The second challenge was to create a card using three ribbons and after some thought I decided to use the stamp set Totally Fantastic ans this adorable purse that comes in the set for my main image. Then I colored each purse in a different color and matched it with some fun shiny ribbon. I used neutrals as the base for the entire card and made it pop with the colors I picked for the purses and matching ribbon. Hope you enjoyed today's shared creation. Have a great weekend!

Hip Hop Hangover!
Once again it is Friday and time for Hip Hop Hangover! Another wonderful Thursday at the Unity Forum has come and gone and I once again had a blast chatting and creating. This week Jeanne had two more wonderful challenges to try out that I was able to play along with. The first challenge was to create a two layer card (one layer is the main image) with a Christmas theme. So what I did to begin was go through my Unity stamps and see what my options were, I ended up picking this cute tree stamp call Trinity Trio and I just love how it worked out. I tore the edge of the paper and added a little color to it, plus I stamped the same image on the base of the card and finished it off with some metallic ribbon and a spica glitter pen.
The second challenge of the day was to create a card with bling or baubles so I decided to use one of the stamps I got from my last order. This image comes from the set called Delectable Delights and it features some sweet treats! I thought this image would be a lot of fun to try out, I colored it in to look like different flavors of ice cream and then layered it on some scalloped circle punched. I love the cream and dark brown combination and I think it worked well with the pink addition. I added some bling in the four corners and used a spica glitter clear pen to make the entire ice cream cone shine. Hope you have a great Hip Hop Hangover! Have a great day!
2 Layer - Stamps: Trinity Trio from Unity; Paper: Glorious Green, Whisper White; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Glorious Green, G24 Willow, YG03 Yellow Green, R27 Cadmium Red, YG63 Pea Green, G05 Emerald Green, YG23 New Leaf; Accessories: Pop Dots, May Arts Metallic Organdy Ribbon
Ice Cream Bling - Stamps: Delectable Delights from Unity; Paper: Cream, Dark Chocolate, Pixie Pink; Ink: E33 Sand, E47 Dark Brown, RV11 Pink, RV14 Begonia Pink, Y08 Acid Yellow, YG09 Lettuce Green; Accessories: Me and My Big Ideas crystal, pop dots, Mavry Mega Scalloped Circle Punch, Mavry Giga Scalloped Circle Punch, Spica Clear Glitter Pen

Girl's Night Out
This month with the My Favorite Things stamp release party Kim and her great Designers all hosted the Guest Designer Challenge. You were to alter something using your My Favorite Things stamps. After thinking it over for a bit I decided I wanted to create a 'Girls Night Out' gift set. For any girls complete movie experience one must have a few essentials....popcorn, raisinets, good & plenty, plus two movie tickets in there own little envelope to match. Then of course no MFT creation would be complete without pink and black, so there you have it. I had a lot of fun thinking up something to create and altering it all to match the MFT color scheme. Hope you enjoy, thank you for looking!

Colorful Box in a Bag!
Guess what ladies?! Its time for Pretties Wednesday again! Two weeks ago Jodi challenged the Prettie Girls to make a card using the color combination Real Red, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. I love color challenges, they are always so much fun and Jodi picked some great colors for us to work with. Over this past week I have been entering all sorts of challenges and I made two of these Box in a Bags and I had to try creating one with these great colors! I decided to use the January Stamp of the Month Gliding By in conjunction with Snowflake Kisses which has been re-released in rubber! I love how these snowflakes work so well with this adorable new Stamp of the Month. If you have yet to sign up make sure to stop by the information page and read all about our stamp of the month program, its a great way to get these adorable stamps before anyone else, what would be better than that?!
Doesn't she look oh too cute in her cold weather outfit?! If you don't have any Sophia stamps I must say that she has become one of my favorite Paper Pretties stamps, she is so cute and she looks so happy enjoying her winter day. Hope you have a great day ladies! Thank you for stopping by, and make sure to visit all the other Pretties Girls blogs today, they have some great creations to see!Charmaine Ikach

A Bit of Bella
This past weekend Stamping Bella celebrated their two year anniversary of being in business! How exciting is that?! As part of their celebration they hosted three great challenges and I got the chance to play along with all three. The first challenge was to create a card using their signature colors pink and green, which I used presentabella for, isn't she cute!
The second challenge was 'Seeing Double' where everything should be in twos. So I created a card using Mimi and Max with two crystals and two ribbons as embellishments.
The last card I created was following a sketch challenge and for this card I wanted just some simple colors. I used Wendy Papillon as the main image and colored her in using shades of blues and greens. Then I tied it all together with some fun SU! colors and a little bling, because no bella card is complete without bling! Hope you all have a great day!Monday, December 8, 2008
Snowflake!
I hope everyone had a great weekend, I did some card making and getting ready for the holidays, there are so many things to do and so little time! This card is from the last Paper Pretties release party on December 1st, we had a blast! Charmaine issued three challenges throughout the night and this card I created for the second challenge which was to create a child's card. When I think of cards for kids I think of bright colors and fun patterns, so I decided to use Snowflake Kisses for this card, the perfect kids creation! Snowflake Kisses has been re-released in rubber, if you don't have him yet then pick him up, this set is just too cute! I used some really cute winter DP I had from my DCWV Glitter Christmas Stack and colored Snowflake in to match the paper. Hope you enjoyed what I shared today, enjoy the rest of your day!Stamps: Snowflake Kisses from Paper Pretties; Paper: Whisper White, Certianly Celery, DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack; Ink: C1 Cool Grey No. 1, R27 Cadmium Red, Y38 Honey;Accessories: pop dots

Hanna Time!
This week Hanna Stamps hosted their December release and with any great release there is challengs involved! In fact there are two Hanna Stamps challenges for this months release both of which I got the chance to particpate in this weekend. The first challenge was to create something with stitching on it, now I've only done faux stitching before and I wanted to try out my little sewing machine. After using it, the mini provo craft sewing machine, I've decided I need a better one, in fact I have now asked for a paper crafting sewing machine for Christmas. It wouldn't work! Every time I pushed the button it would either snag or run the wrong way so I ended up cranking the needle myself so that it would stitch for me, which took forever. Thank goodness it ended up working alright. I used the stamp set Ski Bunny which I just love, she is now one of my favorite Hanna Stamps sets.
he second challenge was create a card with pink, and lots of it! I realized I had yet to ink up my Sleep Time Riley for this card, I looked at this stamp as a Sophie stamp, I would feel bad if I dressed Riley in pink. I like the pink and brown combination with this stamp, and I had to add some glitter! I used my frosted lace stickles to attach the pink dew drop and to make Sophie's slippers and hat bling. Hope you like today's cards! Have a great Sunday everyone!Saturday, December 6, 2008
Merry Christmas?
Ealier this week I got the chance to create a card for the Who's That Girl Challenge over in the My Favorite Things forum. This week it was to use the stamp set Merry Christmas, and I just love this set! I am very happy to say that this set has been inked up a few times already! In fact, as soon as this one came in the mail I just had to ink it up and it became one of the projects I designed for a get together with a few friends. I love how this stamp set it so much like how most people feel after wrapping masses of gifts. Every year my Dad buys gifts for my Mom and has me wrap them, becuse his wrapping is not that neat...so I wrap my gifts plus his, so I can identify with this lady! Hope you are all having a great weekend!Friday, December 5, 2008
Hip Hop Hangover
Its time for another Hip Hop Hangover! Every Thursday Unity hosts Hip Hop where there are all sorts of prizes, stamp specials, a blog hop and two challenges. I had to much fun yesterday chatting with the ladies in the members forum on SCS and I got the chance to create two cards for the Hip Hop card challenges. The first challenge that Jeanne issued was to create a card using a sentiment as the focus of the card, I decided to use the Act Like Royalty stamp as my main focus. Then to spice it up I used hot pink and black plus this fun Rock Star DP, and of course what card would be complete without bling and primas!
The second card challenge was to create a card with gold on it, in anyway. Now I'm not really a gold person, I am really more of a silver person then anything else, but I do have some gold supplies. I dug out my Rock Star DP again to use the paper in my background plus I pulled out my gold embossing powder. I really like the Growing in Unity stamp set and the main tree from the set I thought would be perfectly beautiful in gold. So I assembled a card and even added some lovely large gold brads to finish it all off. Hope you enjoyed today's Hip Hop Hangover, and if you have never been to a Unity Hip Hop you really should stop by, its hours of fun! Have a great day!Royalty-Stamps: Act Like Royalty from Unity; Paper: Pixie Pink, Whisper White, Basic Black, Rock Star DP; Ink: Pink Passion; Accessories: Making Memories Med Crystal Brads, Prima Got Flowers and Flower Tin
Golden Unity-Stamps: Growing In Unity from Unity; Paper: Certainly Celery, Burnt Sienna, Whisper White, Rock Star DP; Ink: Versamark; Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Big Gold Brads, Pop Dots

Spash of Color
I joined Paper Craft Planet this past weekend, I had to see what everyone was talking about for myself. I like how the format is different from SCS, plus there are even more wonderful people to meet, along with the same wonderful people I already know. I have been watching their 12 Days of Christmas celebration and today I decided to play along. Today's challenge was to create an elegant black and white card with a 'splash' of color and the challenge is being hosted by Verve. I haven't played with my Verve stamps for what seems like ages so I just had to give it a try, so I pulled out my Grateful Elegance stamp set and got to work. I decided to make a thank you card with a splash of red, hope you like today's creation!Wednesday, December 3, 2008
Its Getting Hot in Here
That's right its another wonderful Pretties Wednesday! Two weeks ago Danielle challenged us to use a heat gun, which I rarely use anymore but love all the same. So after rummaging though my shelves I decided to use my poor lonely heat and stick powder. It must be a few years since I even looked at this stuff, so I guess its good thing I found it after some digging. Then I was digging around some more trying to decide what to use with it and I found all my Fun Flock, that my friend was the answer! Have you ever used Fun Flock? I had never heard of it until one of my Paper Pretties boxes came over a year ago now, when Christie was still sending card kit packages, and I found brown Fun Flock inside, since then I've collected a few more color, you know, just a few. I picked out the Blue Suede color, which is a nice dark blue and so soft! That is the best part of Fun Flock, its fuzzy! I mean what a better way to get things heated then fuzzy Fun Flock! So I pulled out my Versamark and heat gun and got to work, fuzzy flocked flakes! I used Gliding By, the January Stamp of the Month, isn't she precious! I not only created a background of fuzzy flakes, but I also decorate Sophia's dress with one of those fuzzy flakes. I hope you like this card, I had a lot of fun creating this card with my heat and stick powder, what a great challenge!Stamps: Gliding By and Snowflake Kisses from Paper Pretties; Paper: Whisper White; Ink: BG10 Cool Shadow, E00 Skin White, G00 Jade Green, Y11 Pale Yellow, Silver Gel Pen; Accessories: Heat and Stick Powder, Blue Suede Fun Flock, Making Memories Bright Med Circle Crystal Brads, Circle Scalloped and Regular Nestabilities

The Purrfect Gift
Over the weekend I got the chance to create a card for My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #58 and I am so glad I took the time. I love challenges in fact I've decided I need to enter more cards in challenges, not only do they make me use my stamp sets but they also make me look at my creations differently. With this sketch I wanted to create a winter card so I pulled out my Peppermint Cats stamp set, I've been eyeing this stamp set but I had yet to find a reason to ink it up, what better excuse to ink up a set then a challenge. This sketch was a lot of fun, ironically I had created a few cards with this same sort of striped background before I even saw this layout. Hope you like today's shared creation, be sure to stop by tomorrow for Pretties Wednesday, I get to issue the challenge this week to the other Pretties Girls!Stamps: Peppermint Cats from My Favorite Things; Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Going Grey, Paper Salon Dazzle Blizzard; Ink: B24 Sky, G14 Apple Green, R14 Light Rouge, RV21 Light Pink, W3 Warm Grey No. 3, Y11 Pale Yellow, Y38 Honey; Accessories: Blue Grosgrain Ribbon, Frosted Lace Stickles

Party Time!
So tonight was the big December release at Paper Pretties! Woo-hoo! We had a great time and a new wonderful Cutie Pie was named, congrats to Lee, loved the card! Over the course of the night Charmaine posted three great challenges, the first of the night to create something using the colors blue, pink, and white. So I decided to do something a little different and create a scrapbook page using the rereleased stamp set Snowflake Kisses. I used not only did I use one of the oh so cute sentiment included in the stamp set, but also the adorable hanging mittens. I also found some great glittery snowflake foam pieces to decorate the page, and of course some stickles, you got to love stickles! Thank you for coming by, hope to see you all soon. Hope you got the chance to join the party!Sunday, November 30, 2008

There She Goes
I picked up some of these cute There She Goes stamp sets when the company first launched a few months ago, but for some reason I never inked them up. I have been following the company and they have a challenge this month to create a card and not only decorate the outside like we normally do but to also design the inside of the card. A task I don't complete often but I thought it would be a lot of fun to try, so I pulled out the stamp set 'Home is where the heart is' from There She Goes and got to work.
Since I was going to create a 'Congratulations on your new home' I picked some browns and oranges to create a simple and sothing card. I wanted some simple lines and a good contrast between the colors I used. Hope you like today's creation, and stop by tomorrow for a Paper Pretties card to celebrate the December 1st release!Wednesday, November 26, 2008
Pearly Pretties
Two weeks ago the wonderful Jessie challenged the Pretties Girls to use pearls, so I set out looking through my supplies. I decided to use the Pearl Dew Drops I have to accent whatever card I created and looking through my stamps my Simply Special set needed some love! I use the main image of this super cute watering can for my card focus using a Pearl Dew Drop for the center of my flower. I love the pastel tones that I used in this card, I wanted something light and calming, I think these colors work perfectly for such a feel. Its Pretties news time! Here is some information you need to know all about:~Cutie Pie Contest!!

Unity Addicts Challenge
Now normally the Unity Addicts challenge falls on a Wednesday but with Thanksgiving being on Thursday this week the challenges and Hip Hop have been changed. So today the Unity Addict Challenge was posted and the challenge was to create a 'Thank You' card using Red and White, so I decided to join in on all the fun! I went through all my Unity Stamps and decided to use one of the stamp sets I have yet to ink up, so today its all about Floral Fantastical, which I love! The whimsical flow of the images are just great in this set, and I took advantage of three of the many stamps included in this set. I sorted through all of my red copic markers and decided to pick three shades that I thought would compliment the card stock and the images themselves. Hope you like today's creation, I had a lot of fun joining in on today's challenge!Monday, November 24, 2008
Going Askew
I can not believe that the last Pretties Weekly Challenge was PWC number 29! Its just crazy how many excellent challenges Danielle has put together for everyone and this week is just as amazing. This weeks challenge is to follow another great sketch, which I added below.
When I saw this sketch I had to pick up my Pretties images and go to town, I decided to create a card using the December Stamp of the Month, Sending You Love Sophia. There is still time to sign up so that this adorable girl can come to your door step soon, you have until the 30th at midnight to sign up, so get going. Be sure to let Christie know that I sent you on your way to enjoy these great stamps! I decided to use the color purple as my main focus using two different shades and some great glittery background paper. I thought it needed a little something so I added three purple dew drops to the bottom of the card. Hope you enjoy today's creation!Saturday, November 22, 2008
Some Colorful Snow!
Today I thought I would share another creation I made for a swap on SCS, this card was created for a Snowman Swap that was hosted by Heather (chris1josh2). I was lucky enough to meet Heather this past summer out our 'Ho Convention' and while I only got to hang out with the ladies for one day I had a blast! When Heather posted that she would be hosting a Snowman swap I just had to join! I had ordered several High Hopes Snowmen and had never gotten the chance to ink them up, so I knew this swap would be the perfect excuse to use some lonely rubber. This little guys name is Dapper Dan and I just love how chipper he is! I decided when I signed up for this swap I was going to have to use other colors besides white, when you think of snowmen you think of the color white, but I wanted to try something different. Instead I went for a holiday theme dressing Dapper Dan in red and green for the holiday season and using some of this fun glittery holiday paper. Such a simple card was a lot of fun to create, hope you like today's shared card, I know I had a lot of fun dressing him up for the holidays!Stamps: Dapper Dan from High Hopes; Paper: Pure Poppy, Whisper White, DCWV Glittered Holiday Stack; Ink: C1 Cool Grey No. 1, BG10 Cool Shadow, G17 Forest Green, R27 Cadmium Red; Accessories: Green Brads

Hip Hop Hangover
Yesterday was Thrursday, so you know what that means! Unity hosted Hip Hop Thursday and of course there were two great challenges issued by Jeanne for us to play along with. The first challenge was to create a square card so I decided to use my new November Kit of the Month set that recently arrived in the mail. So far I am loving this set, it has so many cute parts to it, I mean whats not to love!
The second challenge was to create a card with snow on it, so I decided to use the holiday bundle I purchased from Unity a few weeks ago, and I just love this little stamp! Its called Sleigh Ride and it is of so cute! I think from all the stamps that arrived in the bundle this is my favorite, but they really are all great! Hope you liked my Hip Hop Hangover post, I know that these challenges are a lot of fun for me, so if you have yet to play along what are you waiting for! Hip Hop happens every week at Unity and in the SCS Unity Members Forum, beginning at 10am CST and ending at Midnight, you'll love it!Deer Square Card - Stamps: Enjoy Your Story....Laugh from Unity; Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White; Ink: Pacific Point, Memento Rich Cocoa, Soft Sky, B05, B21, E21, E33, E47; Accessories: SU! Thinking of You
I was going through my pictures today and found a few things I had yet to share! So today I decided to pick this tin I altered a few weeks ago with the intention of entering a Design Team call, needless to say I never finished the other two creations, but I did complete this one! I used one of my Whiff of Joy stamps to create this cute little tin, she is called Melinda and she is super cute! I used pink and blue copics to create the multitoned image. I love how her hair came out, the tones look really nice in her hair and I think it really works. Hope you like this little tin, I had a lot of fun creating it and adding little touches like the prima flowers and the ribbon boarder, all sorts of cuteness, and of course these stamps are adorable! Hope you like today's creation, be sure to come tomorrow I'll be posting my Hip Hop creations!

A Bit of Motion!
Two weeks ago Charmine issued the Pretties Girls challenge to create an interactive card, how fun is that!? I had the hardest time deciding which card to create, I thought waterfall, spinner, slider, those rotating ones....but in the end I decided to try a card I had never attempted, a surprise pop up! I love trying new techniques when I can so I thought I should try this one out and what better why to create a fun Pretties Girls challenge then to try something new! I pulled out my Sweets for the Sweet stamp set and got cracking!
I really like this set, but with all the recent wonderful sets, this poor set has been left uninked, and well we can't have that now can we! I decided to use the cookie stamp to create a cookie filled background paper and layer in on some Pacific Point paper. I typically don't buy the new In Colors from SU, but I am loving several colors this time around, if you hadn't noticed. I love these two colors together and they both go great with Chocolate Chip Cookies, but then again everything goes great with Chocolate Chip Cookies! Hope you like today's creation, be sure to check out the other Pretties Girls Interactive cards, they are just super!Tuesday, November 18, 2008
A Little Tee
I thought I would share another one of my Little Tee creations with you! I created three different cards using Mel's Little Tee set from Gina K for Gabby's Little Tee swap, today's card is from the 'Naughty' group. I wasn't sure what to create for this group, but after a lot of thinking about it I came up with this pink and black card. I love the Little Tees so much, in fact this tank top was from the main image in the Little Tee set that I cut down to be a tank top. I stamp the main Tee image on this great Rock Star Paper Pack paper then cut out the tank top and outlined the sides that were cut. I then used this fun pink paper to create a Nestabilities background which I then mounted on more of this great Rock Star paper. The it needed more....so I went through the included words in Mel's set to fun 'Go Big Boy', which works perfectly with this little tee! I used my Nestabilities Ribbon Slider Dies to create this cute little Ribbon Slider, then of course I needed ribbon! So off to my ribbon stash I went and after digging around for a while I found this great May Arts ribbon that I have been hoarding away for a special card. I decided that it worked perfectly for the overall look and used it. Hope you like today's creation, I had a lot of fun with these cards for Gabby's swap and I just had to share them some more!

Angel Wings
I hope you all had as much fun with the Hip Hop yesterday as we all did! Today is monday so its time to share another Pretties creation! This time I decided to use my Angel Wings Sophia, who I love, and make a simple holiday card. I used some of this great winter paper I got from the Paper Pretties Store and some simple ribbon, brads, and of course some pop dots. I colored this beautiful little angel what seems like forever ago, but I found her again today so I had to dress her up. I hope you like today's creation! Have a great week!Sunday, November 16, 2008
Happy Birthday Jillian!

This time were are doing things a bit differently, we are having a blog hop! Woo-Hoo! The first Pretties Blog Hop! If you are starting here, please hop on over to the Paper Clip (our super new and awesome blog) to start. If you are joining my blog from Jacque's blog, welcome! Shake Your Tail Feathers
This week I got the chance to play along with the Wednesday Challenge in the Unity Forum and I had a blast! I really do enjoy card challenges, they make me think of new things to do, plus if its a company sponsored one I use more of my stamps! So when this challenge to create a child's card using Primary colors was posted I jumped right on board! I pulled out my Hey Chick stamp set and got to work coloring these adorable little birds! It was the first time I got the chance to ink up this set and I am loving the results, I will definitely be using this stamp set again soon, its just so cute! I also love to use this type of bow, you start off making a bow as you would normally, but instead of cutting the ribbon even on both sides, you adhere the bow to the card and run the other leg of the bow to the end of your paper. I've tried this technique a few times and I just love the results, no I did not see this some where, just did it one day. Well I hope you like today's shared creation. Hope you all have a great weekend, I'm off to watch my brother's football game...Go Vikings!Stamps: Hey Chick from Unity; Paper: Pacific Point, Pure Poppy, DCWV Nana's Nursery DP; Ink: B05 Process Blue, R08 Vermillion, Y15 Cadmium Yellow; Accessories: Red Grosgrain Ribbon

Watercolor Geraniums
This month the MFT Guest Designer Challenge was to create a card using water coloring. I was having a hard time deciding which set to use, when the new releases arrived in the mail, and they are all too cute to deny! So I decided to ink up this new Scented Geranium and not only water color, but use a few layers to give the image more depth. I used my aqua painter to watercolor the Scented Geranium then paint over another copy and layers they two together to give the card more layers.
Then to make the main image sparkle I added my Spica pen and layered everything on Pacific Point and Spring Moss paper. I think the colors really work well with this image. Then I added some fun shiny May Arts ribbon and this great background paper from Basic Grey. I really liked my creation this month, hope you liked it too!Wednesday, November 12, 2008
One Layer?!
Two weeks ago Jules challenged the Pretties Girls to create a one layer card with score lines on it...talk about a challenge! I had the hardest time picking which stamp to use and then what to do with it. I finally decided on Angel Wings Sophia and framing her with some score lines and then finishing off the look with some pretty May Arts ribbon. The biggest problem I had with this card is I could not decide on how to color in Sophia, I ended up deciding to use my Copics for her hair and shin and color in the rest of the image using Shimmerz. I am loving these Shimmerz, if you hadn't realized yet, they add such a nice shine to any image, and they seem to work perfectly on this card. Hope you enjoy today's creation and be sure to check out the other Pretties Girls creations, they are sure to be wonderful as they are every week!Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Little Tees!
A few months ago I signed up for a Little Tees swap hosted by Gabby on SCS and I took three spots. Today I thought I would share one of my creations for the swap, with the three spots I took one in each groups which were humor, naughty and nice. This card was my nice spot, I wanted to use a winter theme, but I also wanted to use some colors I typically don't use with winter so I pulled out a few plum colors and got to work. I hope you like it, I had a lot of fun creating this card, in fact I love all these cute stamps! I have a few more Little Tee creations I will be sharing with everyone soon, hope you enjoy them all! Have a great weekend!Thursday, November 6, 2008
Valentines!
This month we get to use the next Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties, isn't she just the cutest?! Sophia looks so busy creating these great valentines to send to some loved ones, this little cutie is called Sending You Love and she is the December SoTM. Which mean, if you have yet to sign up for the Paper Pretties Stamp of the Month Club what are you waiting for! Go sign up and let Christie know that I sent you her way, she will be thrilled to hear it. I created this card for one of the challenges from last weeks release party, the challenge issued by Charmaine was to create a card that had nothing round or oval on it, so I went all rectangles and hearts on this one! Pretties Wednesday!
Two weeks ago Jackie P. issued the Paper Pretties Girls to create a card with a scored background and I am thrilled about it! It means I get to use my Scor-Pal which I absolutely love, it makes scoring so much easier. I decided to use my Angel Wings Sophia since I haven't been able to all month, its been so hard not to grab this little cutie and ink her up! So without further ado, I give you Angel Wings Sophia in all her scored glory. To add more shine I used not only my Butter Cream Shimmerz but also this super pretty May Arts Sheer Ribbon. She looks so peaceful, hope you like today's creation and be sure to check out the other Pretties Girls creations, they are wonderful, as always. Oh! Party Fun!
So today I thought I would share one of the cards I created for the Paper Pretties Party! We had a blast the other night and if you weren't there then you missed out! The first challenge of the night was to create a gatefold card, definitely a fun fold that I've used a few times but that I was thrilled to try again. I decided to make this card simple and I used the new set The Nativity as my main image, isn't this little guy the cutest! I think these stamps are too cute for their own good. Hope you had a great day!Sunday, November 2, 2008
A Little Fun
I've been joining more swaps recently, and one of the last swaps I joined was a color challenge where you had to send your secret sister six cards based on her color preferences and card type. My secret sister had selected black, teal and blue so here are two of the creations. The first one is a simple card I created using on of the super cute The Cats Pajama's birthday stamp sets! I love this little image, and the penguins are just too cute! I used a few primas to spice it up a bit.
The second card I created uses one of the cutest little girls that is a High Hopes stamp, one of their older stamps but still wonderful! I used my copics to create a super cute teal colored image with some royal blue accents. So I hope you like today's cards, I will be posting more details about last nights release party tomorrow! Have a great Sunday!Saturday, November 1, 2008
