More Penny Black and Fun to come!

Yesterday I took the time to make another fun card using another one of my Penny Black stamps, this one being called 'Garden Gossip'. I am a huge fan of these cutesy Hedgehogs and the lady bug is just super cute! For this card I layered my Nestabilities (the scalloped rectangles) with white and red dotted paper. I thought it would offset the dots on the lady bug nicely, and I think it works this time. I layered the Hedgehog image on red card stock and then layered it all on top of the scalloped rectangles. I wanted to add a little something so I layered some ribbon below the paper. Let me know what you think!

I read all the comments that came in today ladies and I am thrilled that you liked the cards I created. I have been ordering my Nestabilities from Cut at Home and I have been using my 40% off coupon for V.I.P.s. Each month there is a new coupon sent out to everyone who signs up as a V.I.P. at Cut at Home, all you need to do is add the coupon code to your order comments section and you get 40% off one product sold on the site (with a few exceptions). I have already used three coupons to order the Rectangles, Ovals, and Circles Sets (it comes to $51.00 plus shipping for each set!). What a value ladies! Yes, most are on back order, but they will come eventually!
Plus, big news! Tomorrow marks the first day of my '12 Days of Bellas!' I will be posting a card that I created from the Bella Kits in the First Bella Kit Swap I hosted here every day for the next 12 days. Each day I will be randomly selecting one lucky lady who comments on the card to receive the card created and the rest of the card kit. I hope you will play along and hopefully I will be able to send some fun cards your way! As a sneak peak....here is a picture I took of all the kits I now have to choose from!

Stamping Away!

So I have been doing all sorts of things this week, and as part of that I have a few swaps to catch up on that are due soon. Here is one of the cards I made for a card swap, it was an any occasion swap using stamps that weren't SU! so I signed up for two spots with Penny Black stamps. This is one of my two. I also dug through all the Bella Card Kits and pulled out this one, this kit was created by Rita Faison and I loved all the goodies included in it. There were several types of ribbon to play with and some great primas. Nicely done Rita!I love the decorative paper that you sent with this image, it is just perfect together! I added the copper brads to the mini primas to bring out the accents in the paper. I used my Nestabilities Dies, and I love them! This is the first time I tried them, and so far I am having lots of fun!

Guess What!?!

It turns out that I was one of the lucky ones last night. I won the WCMD challenge from PaperTrey! One of the cards I created for the contest was chosen as one of the six winners. I am thrilled to say the least...I mean little o' me won something! I honestly was so excited that I couldn't fall asleep last night, I was just too thrilled.

The reaction from my SCS friends, the Paper Pretties ladies and my online friends have been amazing! I still can not believe the reaction. I have received PMs, e-mails and congratulations postings all over.

Thank you to each and every one of you wonderful ladies who have sent your kind words, especially to Nichole for choosing one of my cards to win some wonderful PaperTrey sets. I stayed up last night expecting to purchase two wonderful sets and some tins and now I only have the tins to purchase! I promise to share any cards I create with these sets once they arrive :)
These are the notebooks I created for a Penny Black and Bella notebook swap on Splitcoast Stampers. I can't wait to see what the other wonderful ladies created, altering things is always a blast! Well, that is all for now. Once I know which card was selected I will post the news and the card here for all to see!

Are you sick of Christmas yet?

I am sorry if these cards are boring you, I just want to share some of my creations with you. Please let me know if these are getting to be too many Christmas cards! I read the comments posted and so far we like the fireplace one and the green elves. I decided to use some more of the green paper I used on the second green elves from yesterday day and more cards with the My Favorite Things 'Home for the Holidays' set.I went with a different color for these two. Using Old Olive, Certainly Celery, and Ruby Red papers. I think these turned out nice, they are more mellow then the bright red you get with Real Red. I love this DP as well! Slab V was defiantly a great buy. I have only cut into three sheets and I have made so many already! My last card for now....I have a stamp club meeting tonight so I may be sharing some non-holiday creations with you shortly to break through the Christmas cards clutter. I am already up and over the 15 I wanted to make. Already created 20 cards and I am not done yet! Enjoy!

Christmas Continues...

More Christmas cards are done! I don't have a favorite one yet, but I'm working on it. To be honest I do not like the My Favorite Things card I made...so I am digging out that set now to try it again with different paper, colors, and layouts I think. Enjoy what I made so far, more to come!

I used more of the Penny Black Christmas Critters stamps...these are just so cute! The Mouse and the Hedgehog are both included in the set, you have to get it!

My first card using the My Favorite Things stamp set 'Home for the Holidays' I love the fireplace image, but not the overall card. I think it still needs some work.

I used Lisabella to make a holiday card, I think she works. She's hip and helping Santa check his list!

I used some more of my new acrylic Penny Black stamps. These stamps are all from their 'Christmas Critters' set which features all sorts of super cute animals in holiday get-up. Enjoy the cards...Bella cards to come, tonight is the beginning of the Bellaholics Stamping Weekend so come back to see some Bellas!

So what do you think of my Holiday cards so far? Are they too cutesy? I plan on making the next group of cards from the My Favorite Things stamp set Home for the Holidays. It features a super cute fireplace and Christmas Tree. I can't wait to rip open that packaging!

Christmas Cards!

So, as I told you I am making Christmas and Holiday cards for the Paper Pretties card swap. I was at Michael's two weeks ago where I picked up two wonderful paper packs of Holiday Prints. I bought the Provo Craft Holiday Slab V and The Christmas Stack with 1/2 Glitter! I love both of these paper pads, and I got them on sale when they were being offered at a discount. So far I have only cut into one sheet of paper, as you can see, but I plan on using much more. I began using the Penny Black stamps that just arrived, I really love these stamps, they are just so cute!
More Christmas and Holiday cards to come. I love doing things for others, don't you! I hope to make at least 15 different cards to send in depending on the coming weeks and how busy I become. I will try to update as I go with images of what I have been making. Plus, this weekend Bellaholics is hosting their stamping challenges so more cards are on the way! After a long stamping break I am back and better than ever!
Stamps: Penny Black 'Christmas Critters'; You Make Me Blush
Paper: Certainly Celery, Real Red, Whisper White, Holiday Slab V

Prismacolor Pencils: light green, tan, red, silver, yellow

Gina K. Stamps!

Have you ever visited Gina K's stamping blog or her wonderful site? If you have yet to hear about Gina K. Designs I am here to tell you! Gina has all sorts of fun stamp to pick from, and many of them are interchangeable. Recently Gina revealed her Stamping For a Cause stamp set for the Make a Wish Foundation called "Make a Wish". For every stamp set that is purchased a donation will be made of $7 to Make a Wish Foundation. How wonderful is that! Awesome stamps and you help someone, how can you ask for more!?!
At her first reveal Gina's Stamping For a Cause set benefited Autism Speaks through the "Love you to pieces" set. It had 8 wonderful stamps with all sorts of puzzle pieces and wonderful words. I myself love that set to pieces! And now I have a new set to play with it! This weekend I created a few cards for the August Wish RAK card contest, one of which uses one of Gina's newest sentiments, and last night I made a 'Wishing you Well' card that I love (pictured above). So....do you know what that means? Sharing time!

If you haven't stopped by Gina's site, I would recommend at least looking at these wonderful stamps, you will not regret it! I know I don't!
