A little bit of Gina K.

So I ordered this set and only played with it once, now that just doesn’t sound fair to me. I mean the poor phone has just been calling out for some company! This past weekend I decided to create two different Gina K. Designs cards, this one being the first one I am sharing with you. This phone set is so young and fun, plus it relates to a lot of different people, always a great thing! I used a piece of decorative paper that I had left over from the Bella Kits I created this weekend and decided to make a opening panel card, the layout is a bit different but I think it adds a lot of character to the card. I colored in the main image after stamping ‘U R the Best’ as the ‘Text Message’ on the phone in browns and blues, looking to pick up some of the color in the DP behind it. I also used Crystal Effects on all the buttons and the screen to add the dimension I thought the phone needed. Then to tie it all together I added some cream ribbon, again bringing out some of the colors in the decorative paper, to complete the card. Enjoy ladies!Also....Ladies, guess what?! I've been awarded the 'E' for Excellence Award from Heather at (http://inkonmyear.blogspot.com/), she emailed me last week to let me know but I have been trying to fix my posting problems so I could share some cards with you before posting about this award. How exciting is that! I am supposed to pick 5 other lucky ladies to share this award with, but I am having the hardest time picking only 5 wonderful ladies, I went through the blogs I browse and picked 4, leaving one spot open for you! If you haven't been selected yet consider yourself chosen....The ladies I selected to receive this award are....

Julee – Poetic Artistry
Christie – Little Pink Flowers
Julie – Stamping With Julie
Jill – Ink, Scrap and Stamp…

It was so hard to pick just a few, there are just too many talented ladies out there!

Some More PaperTrey

I am really enjoying my new PaperTrey stamp sets, I pulled out my Just Hatched set and my Shapes by Design sets to create these fun card. On the first card I used my Jumbo Scalloped Punch to punch out the Aqua Mist CS and mat the 'Little One' sentiment on it. Then I used Aqua Mist CS as the base and added some of the new DP that PaperTrey released, this paper comes from the 6 x 6 pad and I love it! Then to tie it all together I used the Satin ribbon, also just released, to complete the card. The second card I created using the sentiment 'Thinking of You' and the wonderful shapes from Shapes by Design to create some great background paper. Lastly I tied some white grosgain ribbon around the base to tie it in, oh and don't forget the little shapes under the sentiment. I love these sets! Let me know what you think! (I tricked the system, I brought the images to work and uploaded them...lol....I win!)

Upload Already!

Ladies, this is just a quick post about my blogger issues. I do not know why but I have not been able to upload card images since Friday, and trust me it is not for lack of trying. This weekend I made two PaperTrey Ink cards and two Gina K. Designs cards, hopefully it will allow me to upload something tonight when I get home, if not I may be looking into using a different computer or a different host. I will let you know what I decide to do, but I wanted to fill you in. I have not forgotten about you, and cards will be coming as soon as I can get them to upload!

PaperTrey!

Today was a lot of fun at work we had our second International Foods day! Most of the office brought in a dish from their heritage and everything was super tasty. I was going to make Enchiladas but I ran out of time so I whipped together some Guaqumole and a layered dip with tortilla chips, nothing traditional Mexican but yummy just the same. I am mostly Polish but I am closer to the other side of my family, the Mexican side which means some Mexican food….yum! There was SO much food brought in that everyone made up plates for dinner and dessert tonight, plus if you brought in food there was still plenty to return home with. Out of the 50 people in my office I would say at least 35 of them brought something in so we had a wide variety of salads, appetizers, main courses, and desserts from all around the world.
Also, since it is Wednesday I don’t have anything special planned for after work so it is stamping time! I pulled out my newest PaperTrey stamps and goodies to try something a little different then I typically create. I love the new 'Shapes By Design' set and I think these colors work well with the set, the green is the new Spring Moss from PaperTrey. Enjoy!

PaperPretties Cards!

Ladies, I took the time last week to create a few cards using my PaperPretties stamps and I love how they came out! This first one is using Wade E. Bug hes all decked out in dots! Do you like? I have never created an acrylic card, so I thought this would be the best stamp to try one out with. The second card features Snowflake from another PaperPretties stamp that I LOVE. I am a big penguin person, although I don't stamp with them enough I love them, they are all just so cute! This one has to be one of my favorite penguin stamps, I mean look how happy Snowflake is!

Over 200 posts!

Can you believe it? I have already reached 200+ posts.....woo-hoo! Thank you eveyone who reads those posts I know it can't be easy. Today I am sharing with you a card I created for a MFT swap with the PaperPretties ladies, I used the 'Meet Me at the Cafe' set which I just love from MFT. If you haven't taken the plunge and ordered at least one set from My Favorite Things then what are you waiting for! Kim and her team of ladies are wonderful, really, really wonderful and you really got to try them out. If you have never used acrylic stamps then why not give them a try, if you don't like them you could always send them my way! You may remember that I gave you a sneek peek of this card a while ago, but I had to wait until everyone received their swaps back before I could share this with you! I think you can see it, but I used my clear Spica glitter pen over most of the blue to give it a shine, I also used crystal effects over the wine glasses. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is Valentine’s Day! Now I haven’t posted many Valentine’s but everyone at work traded a few goodies to let each other know that they are loved. I received many Hershey Kisses and conversation hearts…its just all so cute! One of the department heads went around giving all the girls those Cherry Hershey Kisses, how sweet is that! Of course the rest of management could care less if it’s a holiday of any sort, but you know how it is.

There were 12 people who went to lunch together for Valentine’s Day at the office, it was nice to go out and celebrate with some of my friends at work. So today I have a few Sweetybella cards for you, the card above is the January card of the month for PaperPretties. I love the decorative paper that came with this box all of the colors are soft and sweet, perfect for the stamp this month. Hope you like it!

Boxes Galore!

I received my PaperPretties box last weekend and I had to break it out and get stamping, but I realized I never created my December Bella Box card, so I thought I would share the sample first. I think this box may be my favorite yet, the paper is just stunning and the accessories are wonderful. Christie really out did herself with the contents of this box....love it!I am also a subscriber to the My Favorite Things boxes and this month the card sample colors were fun, but I think it was missing a little something. I created the sample card and it turned out alright, although I like the card I created better than the sample. The blue ribbon really ties the card together and the stamps in this set are just so much fun! I think this may be one of my favorite mini sets that MFT has released so far.I hope you liked my cards from today, although I only designed one....lol.....tomorrow I will post the sample from the January Bella Box and my own sample creation so be sure to stop by and check them out, no for what you are all waiting for!

We have a winner for Sister Sweets:

Its Snowing!

Its snowing! So much so that my part time job, the local library, decided to close its doors early today. Woo-Hoo! That means I have plenty of time to catch up on my swaps and create cards for fun challenges, in fact two of those hours I will be getting paid for working when I am in fact stamping. How wonderful is that!?! I have a whole list of things to post about for this week including pictures and cards for the January PaperPretties Boxes (Stamping Bella and My Favorite Things), Julee’s Mojo Monday, Manda’s Monthly Bella Card Swap, my Bella Card Kit Swap (almost all swapped out). So much to do and so little time, so hold on to your seats cards will be a flying!

The card above is for Manda's Monthly Bella Card swap...so what do you think? I don't know if its good enough, something about the card bothers me but it needs to go postal tomorrow. Oh well, I tried I guess. Also, you have until tomorrow night to post to be entered for Sister Sweets below!

More Info on Sister Sweets

So I’ve been going through my goodies and I decided what my ‘Sister Sweets’ will be this time around! If you are randomly selected you will win some Prima Flowers and some great May Arts ribbon! I don’t know about you but I follow Jody’s blog Confessions of a Ribbon Addict (link to the left side) and I recently ordered a few extra spools of ribbon in four shinny wonderful colors, so a yard of each and a bag full of Prima Flowers in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. I was going to wait until tonight to draw a name, but since I am only now posting this I will extend the date until Wednesday night at 7pm. At that time I will draw a number randomly and someone will take home ‘Sister Sweets’! Also, tonight when I get home I plan on creating a card or two using my PaperTrey stamps so that I can place an order later this week and I have a Bella card to create for the monthly Bella card swap I am part of, so cards to come! Just post a reply to the post below this to be entered to win some goodies!

Sister Sweets

I hope you all had a wonderful week, I know I did. I am looking forward to hearing about the CHA news and the two big releases next week both PaperTrey and Gina K. are releasing new stamps and goodies, what more can one have to look forward to?! Kimmie’s birthday celebration is almost over, she has posted her last challenge so I have three more challenges to create cards for, but I am so there! If you are also playing along you have until Monday to get those cards created and posted somewhere, also be sure to link these cards up to Kimmie’s blog so she can see all your creations. I created this card for Kimmie's 6th Challege, create a Thank You or Thinking of You or You are Special to Me creation. SoI went for a 'Thank You' card.....no sentiment but a super cute Magonlia Stamps image. This image came my way via Wish RAK and I just love it!

So I have a question for you ladies! How many stamp companies do you follow? I don’t mean which companies do you order stamps from every now and then I mean actually follow. I would love hear what you have to say and maybe, just maybe I will select a person randomly to get a 'Sister Sweets' from me *wink wink*. Perhaps a card from this week or a few stamping supplies…we shall see! I guess you have until Tuesday to post your listing and then someone may get some goodies! Do you like the name? Sister Sweets? I think it works!

Stamping Away

Did you see? Kimmie commented on my tin below…yay! I am thrilled that you enjoyed the tin, that lion is just adorable and I was lucky enough to have a SGF get this set for me…thank you! Now tonight is the release party for My Favorite Things who is apparently releasing three new sets. I don’t have it yet but I will be receiving the new Mini set through PaperPretties and I have been eyeing the new twisted sentiments stamp set that the MFT Design Team has been sharing, they look wonderful! In fact Kimmie is one of the MFT Design Team members who has been show casing the new sentiments, so I decided to use one of my newer MFT stamp sets for the second challenge she posted for her birthday celebration….a sketch challenge! I love sketch challenges simply because no matter what the sketch each card that follows that sketch is always different. I took a different take on Kimmie's Sketch, taking it as a stepping stone and not an actual sketch persay....enjoy! I also decided to try out the Mojo Monday sketch challenge that Julee posted using one of my newer Verve Visual sets. I have now used two of the 6 I own…lol….I don’t feel so bad about purchasing those new sets yesterday. This set is called 'Seeing Stars' and it features all sorts of stars in some great designs and patterns. I just had to have this set, I was going through what stamps I own and I realize that I did not own any star stamps! So a solution appeared….Verve Visual has three fun sets using stars and I am enjoying playing with this set. This paper is also from the Basic Grey Two Scoops paper pack, I had not seen anyone use it and it sort of jumped out at me tonight so I gave it a whirl!Oh! Have you stopped by Nichole’s blog recently for all the PaperTrey news? I am so excited to see everything they have in store for their customers at PaperTrey. I ordered more than the 14 sets this year so I will be receiving the anniversary set and I am planning on placing an order, a nice size order. I did not place an order last month since I had not yet used the stamp sets that I picked up in December, so I think its time to ink those babies up! The challenge Kimmie posted today was all about making a Valentine’s Day card, so what better time to use the PaperTrey stamps!

Too Much To Do....Too Little Time

Unfortunately last night I had to fill out an employee evaluation on myself for the library I work for part time so there was no card making to be done. So far I have a color challenge, two sketch challenges, a square card challenge and an altered item challenge to complete so make sure you stop by tomorrow and for the rest of the week….I am stamping away! Also with MFT releasing new stamps and Verve Visual releasing new stamp soon (on pre-order now!) I need to stamp more with the new sets I have received from them. My goal this year is to not order new stamps without playing with at least the newest stamps I have received, I’ve been pretty good about keeping up but it is hard work! I need to create a few more cards with PaperPretties stamps before I can order the new ones coming later this month, I want to break out my newest Gina K. purchases so I am ready for the mini release coming this month and using a few of my Rubber Romance stamps wouldn’t hurt either. Too many things to do not enough time! This tin is for Kimmie's first challenge to make an altered item. I decided to pull out my C.C. Designs stamps and use the 'Love Ya Lots' set and this adorable lion....isn't he cute! I never realized how hard it is to take a picture of a tea tin! I hope you like it...I just think it is so much fun!

More Hearts

If you haven't seen me post about Julee and her wonderful stamps from Verve Visual allow me to do it again. I have had my eye on these stamps since Julee opened the doors to Verve Visual and for the last stamp release I ordered the 5 sets released. I have only ink up one of the five sets but I am loving the 'Wild Thing' set. Julee has posted a sketch challenge with one winner being selected, in fact that winner will be a Guest Designer for Verve Visual so of course I had to join up and try this sketch out. This will be the fourth sketch Julee has posted that I have taken part in and I am thrilled I decided to join in on all the fun! The center of this card uses the heart outline stamp and the heart filled stamp, in fact there are 4 of each kind in the center creating a flower from 8 hearts. I love the effect of these hearts! The decorative paper is from the new Basic Grey paper Two Scoops, which is a wonderful collection of patterns and colors. Be sure to stop by soon, I plan on cranking out a few cards for Kimmie's Celebation....Happy Birthday Kimmie!...and Mojo Monday is coming as well!

Delay....

Has anyone been having problems with their blogger? I have been having issues with attaching and inserting pictures to my post, because of this my posts have been typed up with no cards to share. I am going to look into a few alternative ways to attach pictures so that I can post the card I created last night, but I thought I would let all of you know that at least one card is coming as soon as I can get that image up and running! In the mean time….the Giants won and my Dad is thrilled, he was yelling and jumping around last night with a few of the other people we had over last night. I hope all of you who had a party had a blast and ate all sorts of yummy and unhealthy goodies! I cleaned my room ladies, there are still a few areas that need to be cleaned a bit more, but the transformation is amazing. I actually have floor space in my room and I can see most of my stamping supplies! I also discovered that I have a LOT of things that people have given me….so I may have a few goodies to share with you guys, I don’t know when or how, but stay tuned.

Quick And Easy

The other night was the Bella Pajama Party so I stopped by and created a simple and quick card following the great sketch challenge that was posted. I wanted to go for a card that fit the sketch but had clean, clear lines...nothing too popping, if you know what I mean. Hope you like it, I plan on creating a few more card following a few sketches I have seen recently, but I need to get back to cleaning. My mom is having many people over this weekend for the superbowl so my room needs a major cleaning. If I go missing I am under the mass of paper, crafting goodies, and clothes!
