I had a lot of fun with this card, the colors were bright and made me smile, but I had a hard time finishing off the card after I picked the colors, image, and papers. I wanted to use flowers, but none of the ones I had looked right so I ended up going with just a simple ribbon tied in a bow. I hope you get the chance to play along with us in this challenge, it should be a lot of fun! Have a great day!

Think INK Artful INKables!

It's Saturday so you know what that means, it's time for another Artful INKables post! For my creation today I am sharing with you my card for the current Think INK Challenge! Our current Think INK Challenge is being issued by Tanya Johnson and the challenge is to make a non-standard card AND you must use the color purple! I have only made a few easel cards and decided that I would give another one a short, I used to be so intimidated by them because it looked all complicated, but they really are super simple!

For my card today I decided to ink up the set Spot On summer! I picked the flower image and used these beautiful Mulberry Flowers I ordered a while ago and I paired them with this stunning lace trim that fellow AI DT member and friend Cheryl Walker sent to me earlier this month. Cheryl always uses these amazing lace trims and her floral work always looks superb so I wanted to give it a try for my self today! I really don't use that much purple when I create, but since we were asked to use purple in some way I went all for it and accented the shade with some green as well to match the floral stems! Then I thought the corners needed something so I pulled out these great self adhesive jewels I received as part of an early birthday present from my Mama Ho (lol), Rae Anne Springer! Thank you both so much ladies! See how spoiled I am sometimes!

There is still plenty of time to join in on the Think INK Challenge, so be sure to hop on over to the Artful INKables Blog and join in on all the fun! Well I do hope you enjoyed my card for today, I had a lot of fun with this one! Have a fabulous day all!

Paradise Island!

It's Saturday so you know what that means, it's time for another Artful INKables post! I wasn't sure where to start off for my creation today, so many possibilities. Well I decided to ink up a stamp set that I have never inked up before, that's right I decided to use Paradise Island from Artful INKables!
I pulled out this set and created a card that for some reason did not post this morning. I woke up to find blogger messing with me today! Well anyway I read through my google reader to find that today started a new SFYTT Challenge and I just had to create a new card for this sketch! Does that ever happen to you? Well with the way my mind had been recently it's been happening a lot. So I pulled out my Paradise Island stamp set from Artful INKables and got to work!

I think these colors are perfect for the beachy sort of card I was going for, I had a lot of fun with this sketch too, I always save the sketches to play along with all sort of challenges but I never seem to use them! Glad I could change that today! Well I do hope you enjoyed my card for today, I had a lot of fun with this one! Have a fabulous day all!

Sewing Paper!

It's Saturday so you know what that means, it's time for another Artful INKables post! For my creation today I am sharing with you my card for the current Think INK Challenge! Our current Think INK Challenge is being issued by Marti Wills and the challenge is to make your own background paper or use a special background technique! I LOVE to make my own background paper so this challenge was right up my alley, in fact it has been a while since I made my own DP so I took a while trying to decide which stamps to use for the style I had in mind.

I love this cute little spool of thread and needle image from our new Sew You stamp set! I was in a teals mood when I decided to create this card so I picked up my Baja Breeze and Bermuda Bay inks to create my background paper for this card. I used the sewing machine image as my focal point and added in this fun sentiment, 'Sew, What's New?'. Got to love the play on words there!

There is still plenty of time to join in on the Think INK Challenge, so be sure to hop on over to the Artful INKables Blog and join in on all the background fun! Well I do hope you enjoyed my card for today, I had a lot of fun with this one! Have a fabulous day all!

More Fintastic!

It's Saturday so you know what that means, it's time for another Artful INKables post! Today I am sharing with you a card that I created using my Aquatic Fantasy Stamp set! In fact this card looks very much like another card I posted here, in fact I was going to use that card for a SBS I was attending and decided that I didn't like that card anymore and it deserved another go, so this is what was created when I tried again. My first card used a green instead of the white, but for some reason I just didn't like it anymore a few days later. have you ever had that problem? I know it happens to me once in a while, but oh well, you can always make more cards, right!

This card is also a little softer then my last one which might be why I like this one more! I hope you all have a wonderful day all!

Today I am sharing with you the creation I made for the current Think INK Challenge which is to use sewing on your card in some way! Naturally I pulled out the new stamp set Sew You and got to work! I got this sewing machine a while ago and haven't used it in months so I decided that this challenge was the perfect reason to pull this machine out again! So after a bit of stressing over which image to use, I finally went with the biggest image in the set the dress mannequin and of course I had to pick one of the sentiments to go with the image so I decided on 'Your Just My Style". Artful INKables Twilight Eclipse Customer and Design Team Blog Hop!

Welcome to our Customer and Design Team Twilight Artful INKables blog hop! Make sure you start at the Artful INKables Blog, so you don't miss a single thing!

To celebrate the release of ECLIPSE today, we're highlighting the Artful INKables Twilight inspired sets: Into the Moonlight, Fictionally Inspired and Epic Tales. Artful INKables also has a set of Vampire Romance Themed Charms available!

For my card today I decided to use two of our fabulous Twilight Stamp sets! I pulled out Fictionally Inspired and Into the Moonlight plus I pulled out my Classic Scalloped Heart Nestabilities to use and match with the sentiment "Look after my heart - I've left it with you". I colored and cut out my main image and then attached it to my scalloped heart, but it didn't look complete so I pulled out my Viva Pearl Pen in the Ice White color and got to work! I added just a bit to each scallop of the heart which I think really makes the card shine. Then to tie it all together I added more Pearl Pen to the sentiment and the corners of my card. I do hope you like what I created for today, I had a lot of fun with it myself!
