This week our challenge is create a card using the provided sketch!Today I decided to use the image called Wedding Girl from Whimsy and Stars Studio! I wanted to make a sweet card for this love wedding girl with soft colors, but a bit of pop which is why I choose this bright and fun piece of My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky designer paper for this card. I also used my TE Impressions Scallop and Circles Impressions Plate, I got this plate when it first came out, but I only just used it! I think I need to rearrange some things so I can find fun tools like this more often!

Challenge Fun!

Good morning all! Today is Sunday, which means that it's time for another Crafty Ho's Challenge! That's right, a great group of friends of mine, the 'Ho's', created a challenge blog called Crafty Ho's Challenge Blog! Each week on Sunday we share with everyone more creations using the same challenge as inspiration! This week our challenge is create a card using the theme 'BBQ'!

For my card today I decided to use sweet Whimsy and Stars Studio image, Watermelon Boy. Whenever I think about a BBQ I just know that there will be watermelon, and if their are not plans for one, I make sure to bring one myself! I just don't feel like a BBQ is complete without some watermelon. Plus I also decided to use this card for two other challenge going on right now as well! I followed the current Taylored Expressions Sketch which is just so darn fun to play along with, and I think works perfectly with this image, plus I also used the current Ribbon Carousel Challenge as well which is "Happy Birthday America"! I thought that since this weekend is the 4th of July and I will be going to several BBQ's using a red, white, and blue color scheme would be perfect for the holiday!

I am so excited, in fact the entire DT got the chance to work with one of these adorable Heart Song Designs images, mine is called Love Birds. I wanted this card to focus on the main image so I used solid colors for both the base and the layering layer and added a sentiment from PTI plus some pearls to accent things a bit. I also pop the main image up on dimensionals so that it draws more attention for your eye.

Paper Pretties Cause and Crafty Ho's Challenge

So today is Sunday which means that it's time for another Crafty Ho's Challenge! That's right, a great group of friends of mine, the 'Ho's', created a challenge blog called Crafty Ho's Challenge Blog! Each week on Sunday we share with everyone more creations using the same challenge as inspiration! This week we are challenging you to create a card using the picture below as inspiration! If you haven't heard yet Paper Pretties is offering a fabulous Easter digi stamp set for only $7 all of the proceeds from the sale of this set (minus Paypal fees) will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help find a cure for Alex and everyone else suffering from this disease! Here is what Heather said about this fabulous cause:

My good friend Chava (who I've known for more than 30 years) has a 3 1/2 year old son, Alex. Shortly after Alex was born, he was diagnosed with having Cystic Fibrosis. For those of you unfamiliar with CF here is a brief description:

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that: clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

Here is where the exciting part comes in...one of our Paper Pretties illustrators, Joni Stringfield, has drawn an ADORABLE Easter set called EASTER BABIES. We will be selling this set as a DIGITAL IMAGE SET. All of the proceeds from the sale of this set (minus Paypal fees) will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help find a cure for Alex and everyone else suffering from this disease!

If you get the chance, I would suggest picking up this set, you get so many adorable images and it all goes towards a fabulous cause, plus only $7, what a deal! Here is the proof of all that you get in this great set! For my card today I used the larger image of the three bunnies and the cute little chicks too! I also used my Dizzy Doily which makes such a pretty design, I thought it worked so well with the sweet Easter images and these bring colors.

With Christmas and New Year's passing I am already looking forward to Valentine's Day and all the fun images and stamps that I get to use filled with lots of love! I don't know what it is but the Valentine's Day papers, embellishments, images, all of it is just so much darn fun so I just HAD to use this cute little girl image from the current Bugaboo Stamps January Digi Club. I just think this little one is darling, and she looks even cuter in purples! I don't know if you have heard of the January Digi Club that Bugaboo Stamps offers, but each month for $20.00 you can get a set of 20 images, and I am telling you the months go past and I swear the 20 images inside get better and better!

The Crafty Hos Challenge

So today is Sunday which means that it's time for another Crafty Ho's Challenge! That's right, a great group of friends of mine, the 'Ho's', created a challenge blog called Crafty Ho's Challenge Blog! Each week on Sunday we share with everyone more creations using the same challenge as inspiration! This week we are challenging you to create a card using Fall colors!

I decided that this is all about those bold and bright fall colors, but I wanted to use my Warm Drinks and Cold Days set from Artful INKables! I love the bright colors that you see in the leave when they change, the colors are almost unnatural. I also created this card as part of a swap I was a part of that used only Artful INKables stamps.
