Sent With Love

This weekend There She Goes is releasing new stamp sets and having a party on PCP! Right before a new release Jessica from TSG issues a challenge. This months challenge is to create a card using dimension, and I did just that! I went a little dimension happy actually...the main image is on pop dots, the cupcakes in the mail box are on pop dots, the sentiment and three of the background cupcakes are all on pop dots! Hope you like it, I had a lot of fun with this card and creating this cute DP using the stamp set Special Delivery! The colors are really fun too, I thought they were perfect with some cut cupcakes. Enjoy!
Stamps: Special Delivery from There She Goes; Paper: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Lemon Tart; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, BG01 Aqua Blue, E51 Milky White, E55 Light Caramel, N1 Neutral Gray No. 1, R29 Lipstick Red, RV21 Light Pink, Y11 Pale Yellow, YG11 Mignonette; Accessories: Taylored Expressions Twinklets, Poop Dots, Quickie Glue Pen

Really?! No Way!

I got some great news when I woke up this morning! Not only did I receive my Gina K stamps order but I also got an e-mail from Jana letting me know that Gina K posted a card of mine on her blog! That's right Gina from Gina K Designs posted today about how she wanted to share some cards that her customers were creating. "I decided to start a new feature on my blog where I will periodically show you some of the fantastic projects created with our stamps." One of my cards that I created for a Secret Sister Swap in the Gina K forum was selected, so I decided I had to make another Gina K card today! If you stopped by here from Gina's blog, thank you so much for stopping by and thank you to the new subscribers I have gotten today, my e-mails keep rolling in! I never posted it, but that card had a matching heart shaped tin, so I posted that above, I just love making matchy sets. This card today uses one of the newest sets from Gina K Designs called Sweet Blessings designed by Mary Duffek, a new artist at the company. Hope you liked visiting my blog, and enjoy your cupcake!

Pretties Wednesday!

It's Wednesday which means that it is time for another Paper Pretties challenge! Two weeks ago Jana challenged the Pretties Girl's to a Limited Supply Challenge, and let me tell you, it was a challenge! Here is a list of rules for the card:

1 dry embossed piece (embossing folders and texture plates count!)
2 pieces of patterened paper
3 colors of solid cardstock (this includes any neutrals you use)
4 embellishments
5 layers

My biggest problem was finding two pieces of patterned paper that I liked to go with the rest of the card! I ended up deciding to use the same DP I used on Monday's second card and some Paper Salon paper I recently got from their Tribeca series. I dug out my Distressed Stripe CB Embossing folder for my dry embossed piece and all sorts of goodies! Be sure to visit the other Pretties Girl's today!

A Bit of Chocolate

Today I got the chance to play along with the My Favorite Things Who's That Girl challenge in the MFT Forum on SCS. Each week a new stamp set is picked and a challenge is issued, this week the stamp set to use is 'How Sweet It Is' and the challenge issued was to create a card using no more than two layers, so I over simplified and created a one layer card! I love this stamp set in fact I got it last year from my subscriptions from Paper Pretties when they offered card kits and I loved it then! I decided to use the main image in the mini set and this super cute sentiment is by far one of my favorite sentiments! It is just so point on! Sisters and Chocolate make life bearable....man ain't that the truth! Hope you enjoyed the card, I had a lot of fun digging out my old and heavily inked up set.
Stamps: How Sweet It Is from My Favorite Things; Paper: PTI Cream; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Rich Cocoa, E00 Skin White, E21 Baby Skin Pink, R20 Blush, Y21 Buttercup Yellow; Accessories: May Arts Grosgrain Ribbon

I hope you had a chance to stop by and party with the Pretties Girl's last night, because if you missed you, man did you miss a great Party! We had a blast last night with all sorts of wonderful people that dropped in for a great night! There were lots of prizes given out and a few new friends came out to play as well! The new sets are now available in the store, so head on over there and pick yourself up some great new stamps, you know you want to.....

I can finally share with you not only the March Stamp of the Month, Sophia Ballerina, but also the card that I gave you all a sneak peak of earlier this week! I am LOVING the new Stamp of the Month, not only is she totally adorable, but she is also so elegant. I know I say it every month, or at least it feels that way, but this stamp is my new favorite stamp from Paper Pretties. I went for a different kind of card this time, I used no embellishments besides a Spica Glitter Pen to make her outfit and shoes a little glittery, otherwise the entire card is complete layers. Lots of layers went into this card and all of these papers came from the same paper pad Two Scoops from Basic Grey, hope you enjoy today's card! Have a great day and be sure to check out the complete stamp sets at Paper Pretties.

Chalking it Up....

Yes, a title in more ways then one I think. Two weeks ago Charmine issued a challenge to the Pretties Girl's to create a card using chalks, and to be honest I had no idea where to start. Well, except that I needed to find my chalks of course, that is always a good starting point, but from there I was a bit lost. I ended up deciding on create a card using February's Stamp of the Month. If you are a member or sign up before January 31st you will receive this stamp in February before she is released to the general public, how wonderful is that! I also decided to try Julee's Mojo Monday Week 70 sketch, I used to complete these sketches from time to time and they are always on my list of things to do...but today it got done! Hope you like today's card, I had fun in the long run creating this card, even though it reminded me why I don't use my chalks very often.

And Then I Said

I finally got the two new B.C. Dzyns stamp sets, 'And Then I Said' and 'Daydreaming' so as soon as they arrived this past weekend with the January releases I had to create something. You may also notice the fun paper, isn't it too cute! This paper came from the newly released digital paper from Stephanie Fizer and My Favorite Things called 'All Seasons' and I love the whole collection, of course I couldn't choose just one and I had to get them all...oops! I was thrilled to see a new digital paper collection being released since I had a lot of fun with the last release and now it makes me remember all those other paper packs that I should start using again. My favorite part of this main image is the attitude she has, its so perfect for any teen. Hope you like today's creation, I just love this set.

Every now and then we all need a hug or two. I received this image in the mail from Wish RAK on Splitcoast Stampers and I just love how adorable this image is. This stamp is from Rachelle Anne Miller and let me tell you her stamps are on my list to pick up, I mean they are all so cute! This one is called Simon & Lola...which is my bad since I thought it was a Mom and a Daughter, or at least that is what I imagined when I saw this image. I made this card since I felt a bit down, today, actually this afternoon I am having sinus surgery so this post is scheduled to post all by itself, as is another post for this weekend. I hope to get some of my creativity back with the clearing of my sinus pressure in which case I should be unstoppable, so look out, here I come! My Mom has been beyond amazing with all of my issues and I know I could not be this strong without her, so this post is another thank you to an amazing women who keeps me strong just by being strong herself. Have a great day all, hope to post without scheduling soon!

A Pretties CASEing

Its another Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge day! This week I get to share the card I created off of Jules card challenge. The challenge was to create a card from CASEing something in the Paper Pretties Gallery and I decided to CASE a card based on Danielle's beautiful mittens card. I haven't CASEd a card it what seems like forever so I had a lot of fun with this challenge, although I must say the real challenge was picking only one card to CASE! Ladies, let me tell you that gallery is stuffed with all sorts of amazing cards and I browsed the galley for hours deciding which one to select out of the masses of wonderful creations. Hope you like today's card I had a lot of fun with this layout and these mittens. I changed the colors and the embellishments on my card, but I love how it all came together. These two papers were a lot of fun as well, the stripes are always fun and I just love the pink clouds in the background. Have a great day all and be sure to check out all the other Pretties Girl's creations, I know you will love them!

Pretties Weekly Challenge

Every week the wonderful Danielle posts a challenge for everyone to play along with at the Paper Pretties site. This past week Danielle issued a great sketch challenge and asked us to use either Wade E. Bug or Flutter By as the main image. You know I love my Sophia stamps, but poor Wade E. Bug has not gotten much use lately so I thought I would give him some ink time for this one. You can see each challenge in the Paper Pretties Challenge Forum and posted on the The PaperClip, trust me you don't want to miss these challenges. We would love to have you play along each week! To be entered to win the $5.00 gift certificate to the Boutique upload your creation to the Weekly Challenges gallery and use keyword PWC34. You have two weeks to enter your card for this challenge, the deadline to enter is Saturday, January 18th @ midnight. So get creating ladies, I would love to see what you can make of this sketch! All Those Layers

Tonight is the Verve Stamps release party, I had planned to enter some cards into their challenges, but unfortunately being sick got in the way of creating cards this week. Instead I decided to share a card that I created for a Verve swap a few months ago, this stamp set is one of my favorite ones so far from Verve. I love how the flower can be layered and this color combo was just so much fun. I love the look of Celery with most colors, and matching it with Pure Poppy and Berry Sorbet really seems to work. I used my ticket corner and some fun decorative paper to accent the main flower image and of course a dew drop as the focal point. Hope you like what I shared today, I plan on creating cards to be scheduled to post next week, hopefully that will work out and I can continue to share with you while I rest. Have a great day everyone!

Color Fun!

Two weeks ago Jessica challeneged the Pretties Girls to create a card using a the colors Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, and Kraft. Wow! Talk about a tough challenge, with so many colors I wasn't sure where to start, but I knew that I wanted to use my new mini sewing machine in some way. I had asked for a mini sewing machine for paper crafting and my Mom got me a mini machine from Shark and man can this thing fly though paper, I just love it! Still getting used to the ways in which to use it, but I love the look and the speed of this machine. After I decided I was using the machine (which I should get some fun bobbins for) I picked this Off to School Sophia stamp that I haven't used in what seems like forever. I went for layers today, I was going to use some DP but decided against it for this one I went for a simple card with some great colors. Hope you like today's creation, be sure to visit the other Pretties Girls blogs to see what they created, I know that today's cards will be wonderful!

One, Two, Three

How cute is this little guy! I ordered this stamp a few months ago when I got together some ladies and we all ordered and I am thrilled this cutie made it into my cart. I love the little inch worm guy as well, I mean how can you get a cuter stamp than that?! I signed up to be part of my friend Joy's decorative paper swap and this paper was just cute enough to to accent the adorable stamp! Hope you like today's bright card, I had a lot of fun creating it, thought it would warm us up on a cold wintery day.
