KIT Club

Last Saturday my SU! Demo hosted our KIT Club meeting and we had a blast. I thought I would share with you two of the three cards we created at the meeting. They aren't so much my style but I had a lot of fun getting together with the girls and chatting it up while stamping a bit. The first card we used watercolor crayons and paint brushes to add a little bit of color as we went, I like how light the image came out and how crisp the final card is. The second card we used markers and colored pencils again for a watered down look to the image. We also used a fork to create the super cute little bow on this card. Definitely something different but a lot of fun to try! We also did one more card that I think I will share this weekend or next week sometime. Tomorrow I am going to post my March Paper Pretties Premium Bella Box card both the card from the kit and my own version, so stay tuned ladies! More to come!

More Kit Club

Ladies I am still sick…I hate begin sick, don’t you?! I have been coughing, but I am getting better, in fact I went to work today which wasn’t fun, but I had to go. We only get five sick days a year, and yesterday was the third day I had to use this year….not good! On the plus side I have more pictures to share with you of the never-ending card we made last weekend at Kit Club.My demo is wonderful and she enjoys challenging us whenever she can, and she did just that this past Kit Club Meeting. The never-ending card was so much fun and it wasn’t too hard, there were just a lot of pieces to stamp and attach to the card base. You really have to like someone to send one of these cards their way, a beautiful card, but a long process.I took a picture at ever stopping point to let you see the entire card, its hard to see how it opens, but it continues to open at every face. I love the colors that were used the green and the yellows are really springy which I think we all need with all the crazy snow we have been getting. Now don’t worry, I have plenty of other cards to share with you, hopefully I will get the chance to post another creation tomorrow! See you then!

Kit Club

This weekend we had our monthly KIT Club meeting and it was so much fun! We created three cards, today I am sharing the first two cards we made and I will be leaving the third card for tomorrow, its a never ending card so it requires a lot of pictures. I haven't been posting because I am sick....ick! I have a cough and I feel all horrible, not fun at all.

The first card is a mini card, a simple 3 x 3, and it is oh so cute! We used some of the new SU glitter, although I must say that I am partial to stickles more than glitter, much cleaner if you know what I mean. I spent that night and next day removing little pieces of green glitter from everything.

The second card uses white craft ink and pure color pencils to create a layered look that I just adore! We stamped with the White Craft Ink first then colored over each petal with several different colors to get that in depth look. Finishing the image off by adding white gel pen outlines and dots....love it! I have lots of other cards to share so stop by again!

More KIT Club

I am glad to know that you are enjoying my Criss-Cross card, they are defiantly fun to make. I thought I would share with you the other cards and goodies we created the other night. My Demo is wonderful with creating thing, but I always put my own twist on what we are doing. For this first card I left it as she created, I liked it a lot, especially the altered chipboard. I have a lot of chipboard but I never know what to do with it! Now I have a few ideas, oh and note the rub on star also from SU!I love using pink and brown together, in fact we made a bow on Friday night that matches this card. I will share the bow with you tomorrow....I love it! I am sure you will too! The third card we created uses one of the new floral sets (one I am thinking of purchasing) and some fun colors.
Now, this DP is two sided from SU! and the card that my Demo created used the other side of this paper....I thought it was too mellow so I flipped the paper to find these great colors! Needless to say a few of the other ladies at the Club followed my lead. I really like how we colored these flowers. We embossed the image with Vanilla embossing powder then we water colored the image with reinkers going from light to dark. Then for a bit of a pop we added the dark pink color in the over lapping areas....love it! The center of each flower is a colored brad to match the colors we used. Tomorrow I will show you a bow and hopefully a fun card using the PaperPretties set I received in the mail on Friday!

Busy Bee....

I have been busy altering all sorts of goodies! So I thought I would share them with all of you the first goodie is an altered mason jar that my Demo designed. My favorite part of this jar is how genius it is! Using a mason jar is a great idea for a candy jar, you can unscrew the cap and remove the insert allowing for everyone to enjoy the candy. I will be adding candy corn to this jar for work next week, they're going to love it!Next up.....something I altered for this months Wish RAK swap. This round it is called a THANKFUL exchange with a wonderful fall theme. The tin is from one of the Prima tins I purchased this past summer inside there are all sorts of goodies for my THANKFUL friend. of course I can not reveal who this tin full of fall delights will be going to, but it is just so cute I had to share!Last but not least, my first attempt at One Sheet Wonders using the PaperTrey Believe set. Using four SU! colors plus Basic Black I created several sheets of decorative paper to create these adorable goodie cones....or at least that is what I am calling them. Inside there is chocolates which are tied up with some red grosgrain ribbon and then adorned with a scalloped oval and the sentiment 'Believe'. So let me know what you think about my recent altered goodies....there will be more to come. I have plans for my two other Christmas Friend Swap groups, which I will also be posting soon. So come back soon!

Enjoy

So two Friday's ago I had my K.I.T. Club meeting and we made two cards and a project. Here is one of the cards, which uses a set that will be coming out in the new SU! Catty as well as the gold elastic cord, which is actually a lot nicer than I thought it would be. We used a technique where we emboss and then de-emboss to create the layered effect that you see. I love this card! It is just so much fun, so I had to share, although I did not design the card, I did create it. Enjoy!

Tomorrow I should be posting one of the projects I created for my Christmas Friend Swap on SCS. One of the projects are done, but I need to put some finishing touches on it...I used the PaperTrey Believe set on this project and I can't decide which stamp company and set will be next! Make sure to stop by tomorrow evening!
