Sweet Pea

Today I wanted to share a creation with all of you that I made using one of the newest releases from Whimsy and Stars Studio! I decided to use the image Sweet Pea Baby Pod, this one is just so darn cute!

I have a blast each time I sit down and color in one of Mabelle's images, each image is so detailed and fun to work with. For this image I used some of My Mind's Eye Happy Go Lucky designer paper and pulled in some greens and teals with both the cardstock I used and the colors I used on the image itself. I also used this amazing ribbon I have, I just love the messy feel to this ribbon.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I do hope you enjoyed the card I shared with all of you today. Have a fabulous day!

Inky Impressions Tutorial

Today it's my turn to share a creation on the Inky Impressions Blog, but I decided that I would use this chance to share with you how to use Glimmer Mist! There are all sorts of sprays that you can use to enhance your focal image, and today I thought it would be fun to share how to.

Supplies needed:
-Mist Spray (I sued Graphite Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels)
-Colored Image
-Masking
-Tape
-Working surface covered (this can get messy!)
First gather all your supplies. I used the image Lili's First Day of School for my main image. I also cut out the main image in an Oval Nestabilities. I also stamped a duplicate of the same image to be used as a mask.Once I had all my supplies together I attached the mask over the main image and adhered the Nestabilites die with tape so it wouldn't move while I was spraying.I then pointed the spray down to the main image and gave off 3 little squirts to cover the background of the main image.I then removed the mask and let the spray dry. Simple enough! After the paper dried I used some pop dots and attached it to the card I created.
I do hope you enjoyed my little tutorial, these sprays are so much fun to use, but be ready for a mess! Have a wonderful day!
Stamps: from Inky Impressions; Paper: Whisper White, Sunrise, My Mind's Eye Life of the Party DP; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, E00 Skin White, B14 Light Blue, E23 Hazelnut, T27 Cadmium Red, YG07 Acid Green, R81 Rose Pink, RV13 Tender Pink; Accessories: Pop Dots, Oval Nestabilities, Grosgrain Ribbon, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Graphite

An Inky Impressions Recipe

Good morning all! Today I get to share with you the card I created for the new Inky Impressions Challenge! This week is our challenge host at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog, and her challenge is to follow this recipe: 1 Image, 2 Embellishments, 3 Designer Papers AND Stitching (faux or real)!

Today the Inky Impressions Design Team will be sharing our creations for the current Inky Impressions Challenge! For my card today I decided to ink up Lili's Secret, in fact I went through my Inky Stamps and I haven't inked up this stamp yet this term, so it's time to change that! I also decided to use three different patterns of My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party designer paper! I just love the shades of this paper, it's so warm and happy, I know the patterns are a bit distracting, but at the same time I think all three work well together. I also decided to use some matching twine and self adhesive pearls as my 2 embellishments, but I can't find my power cord for the sewing machine, so out came the gel pen for some faux stitching!

I hope you like my take on the current Inky Impressions Challenge, be sure to join in on all the fun over at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Inklettes have created, they are sure to impress! I can’t wait to see what you create! Have a wonderful day all!

Paper Makeup Stamps Release Review!

Today I get the pleasure of sharing with a bit of a 'review' of this months Paper Makeup Stamps release! It was only a few days ago that Paper Makeup Stamps released all sorts of new rubber, and I am sure that you are loving these stamps as much as I am! Well, today I am sharing a card I made using one of our new silhouette images, Madelyn!

I wanted this card to be very soft and sweet so while looking through my paper pads I instantly stopped on this pad my Basic Gray called Madeline, which by the way was a total coincidence on my part. I actually didn't realize that they were the same name spelled differently until I sat down to type this post up, it must have just been meant to be :) Anyway, I paired this image with this cranberry color and a bit of aqua mist for layering to pull the shades from the designer paper. I also wanted to add a bit of contrast so I used this very pretty lime satin ribbon and bow to complete the card, with the addition of some rhinestones, I mean you can never have too much bling!

Be sure to head on over to the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog and check out the rest of the release reviews for today! Thank you so much for stopping by, I do hope that you have a fabulous day!

Today I wanted to share a creation with all of you that I made using one of the newest releases from Whimsy and Stars Studio! I inked up this adorable cutie, Coffee Girl!

I have a blast each time I sit down and color in one of Mabelle's images, each image is so detailed and fun to work with. For this image I used some of my Echo Park Summer Days designer paper and matched the color with some Apricot Appeal card stock and the same shade on not only the matching bow but also the little top she is wearing.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I do hope you enjoyed the card I shared with all of you today. Have a fabulous day!

Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop!

Today is the day, that's right today marks the July release at Paper Makeup Stamps and to celebrate the release we have a Blog Hop! Each Design Team member has created something fabulous using one of our new releases and you are going to love all the eye candy coming your way! You should have arrived here from Tina's Blog, if you came here from another spot I suggest that you hop on over to the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog so you don't miss out on any of the fun OR any of the letters!

If you go through the entire blog hop, you will notice each design team member has a letter for you. Collect all the letters and you will get a phrase, this phrase will reward you 15% off anything from the new release, plus it can be used with other vouchers!

For my card today I am featuring the stamp set 'Framed'! This set comes complete with 3 different frames that add a bit of design to anything. I decided to use a sentiment previously released to show how these fabulous frames can be used! I paired this set and sentiment called Sing, Love, Dance, Live Wordart with some My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky DP! I pulled the purple and the pink for the sentiment and matching frame and accented them both with a bit of lime and pink satin ribbon.

Now before you hear about the festivities I thought I would remind you to look for that letter so you can redeem the code for this months release! Plus, tonight at 9pm EST is our release chat too, so be sure to stop by Paper Makeup Stamps Forum for all the chatter and fun!

Your next stop on the hop is Stephanie and I just know that she will have something amazing to share with you! Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop and Release!

Bugaboo Seed Packet Tutorial

Today it's my turn to share a tutorial with you for Bugaboo Stamps, you can see my final product on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog! So are we ready to see what we are learning to make today? So for today I am sharing how to make a seed packet! I made one through my LSS and I had such a blast I just had to share it with all of you!

Materials:
1 - 4 1/4" x 11" sheet of solid card stock
2 - 3 3/8" x 4 1/2" pieces of coordinating card stock
2- 3 1/4" x 4 1/8" pieces card stock
2- 3 1/8" x 4" pieces of designer paper
1- 3 3/8" x 1" pieces of card stock
Corner Rounder
Bone Folder
Cutter or Scor-Pal
Double Sided Tape
Scissors
Velcro
First gather your supplies! Be sure to pick colors that work well together as well as a matching image. For my project today I picked the Flamingo - Watering digi.Turn the card stock on it's shortest side and score the card stock at 3/8" on both sides. Then turn the card stock base on it's long side and score at 1", 1 1/3", 5 7/8", 6 1/4".
Cut the slits so that the card stock looks as shown, you are cutting the 1/3" x 1 1/3" off of both sides from the top and cutting the slits where the other 1/3" measurements are.Use a corner rounder to round the top corners for the card stock.
Fold all scores and reinforce them and begin shaping the packet.
Place Sticky Strip along one strip on both sides of the card stock.Remove the cover paper on the sticky strip and fold the packet in on itself. You can also cut a slit at the top with a circle punch, or leave it. Add card stock layers to complete the seed packet look.
Complete project as desired!

I do hope that you enjoyed my tutorial today, and please let me know if you have any questions! These are super fun and easy to make! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Distressing at Inky!

Good morning all! Today I get to share with you the card I created for the new Inky Impressions Challenge! This week Lora is our challenge host at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog, and her challenge is to use distressing on our cards!

Today the Inky Impressions Design Team will be sharing our creations for the current Inky Impressions Challenge! For my card today I decided to ink up Lili's Secret and use all gray and black tones for my card, with a fun pop of color in the background. I used a pair of scissors and just ran them over all the edges of each layer to create tearing and rips in order to add to the distressing. I had so much fun with this! Plus I also used this fun swirl organdy ribbon to complete the look.

I hope you like my take on the current Inky Impressions Challenge, be sure to join in on all the fun over at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Inklettes have created, they are sure to impress! I can’t wait to see what you create! Have a wonderful day all!

Challenge Fun!

Good morning all! Today is Sunday, which means that it's time for another Crafty Ho's Challenge! That's right, a great group of friends of mine, the 'Ho's', created a challenge blog called Crafty Ho's Challenge Blog! Each week on Sunday we share with everyone more creations using the same challenge as inspiration! This week our challenge is create a card using the theme 'BBQ'!

For my card today I decided to use sweet Whimsy and Stars Studio image, Watermelon Boy. Whenever I think about a BBQ I just know that there will be watermelon, and if their are not plans for one, I make sure to bring one myself! I just don't feel like a BBQ is complete without some watermelon. Plus I also decided to use this card for two other challenge going on right now as well! I followed the current Taylored Expressions Sketch which is just so darn fun to play along with, and I think works perfectly with this image, plus I also used the current Ribbon Carousel Challenge as well which is "Happy Birthday America"! I thought that since this weekend is the 4th of July and I will be going to several BBQ's using a red, white, and blue color scheme would be perfect for the holiday!

Be sure to check out the rest of our great group of Hos, I know their creations will be fabulous!
