Dorothy!

I told you more Anya was to come! I really love these cute stamps and I was finally able to complete the card I had started last weekend. I decided to dress this adorable Dorothy Anya up just like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, she comes complete with that adorable toto! So I went witha blue and brown color pallet and I took out my Primas! A while ago Jody (texasjodylynn) hosted a Prima share that I joined and I got my hands on some amazing Primas. For the longest time these beauties have been sitting in their little boxes hoping to be opened one day, well today is the day for one of those packages! These Prima Fancies are a Burlap Assortment, how wonderful is that?! Something you don't see to often but I thought really worked well with this adorable image. Hope you like today's Anya...off to create another one! I'm thinking this time Angel Anya!

A Little Sneaky Peaky!

Today the Paper Pretties team is allowed to start posting Sneak Peaks from the March release, are you as excited as I am?! I love this time of the month, I love being able to share new things with everyone, and this months releases are no different. Today I decided to create a card using the last weeks Pretties Weekly Challenge, which was to follow this super cute sketch that Danielle created for everyone to use. I thought the layout was perfect for this adorable Cooper! This new set is called 'This Much'! Not only do you get this super sweet Cooper image but the set come complete with all sorts of cute sentiments to match. I decided to pick my favorite sentiment for this card, I mean how cute is this sentiment! Totally adorable and perfect for this set, as always the new set is just fab and super cute! I also pulled out some of my old DP, I keep buying new paper, as I am sure everyone else is as well, but for some reason I feel a bit bad for my old paper. I hope you enjoyed today's card, be sure to check out the Pretties Girl's listed below, they will also be show casing the new releases today, and I know everything will be wonderful!

Bitty Baby

While I was sick these past few months, my family was invited to a cousin's surprise baby shower. Unfortunately, none of us attended the party, but my Mom finally got together a package of adorable outfits and goodies for the soon to come baby and she asked me to create a card for the package. Making baby cards can be so much fun, so I pulled out one of my favorite baby stamp sets 'Bitty Baby Blessings' from Paper Trey and got to work. Did you know I own a lot of Paper Trey stamps, ink, ribbon, and papers? I doubt you do since I don't pull them out often enough, but lets just say that two years in a row I have beyond qualified for the free stamp set for being a loyal customer...oopps! Of course today was also the PT Blog Hop, I really need to start doing those again, I participated in I believe one or two, so the goal is to create something for next months blog hop, we shall see how great that plan goes. Since Kim's having a baby girl I went with all pinks and shades of red, plus I used this super cute Nana's Nursery Baby Girl DCWV paper I have plus the cute onesie from the 'Bitty Baby Blessings' set. Hope you enjoy today's baby card, I had a lot of fun creating this card and I am glad I can share it with all of you. Have a great Thursday, and be sure to come back here tomorrow, its Paper Pretties sneak peak time, in fact, have you heard the recent Pretties

One? Only One?

Well, Wednesday is here and it's time for another wonderful Paper Pretties challenge! This week I get to share with you the card I created for Jodi's challenge from two weeks ago which was to create a card using 'One image, One embellishment, One layer, one...'. So, our limits was one of everything, so my card feels so bare with only one image and one embellishments on one lonely layer, poor thing. I have had this ribbon for a few months from May Arts and I just love it, but as I do, I have been hoarding it away, I decided that this challenge was perfect for this card! Since I only got one embellishment, I wanted one that popped and really completed this lonely card, and this ribbon does its job perfectly! I was a bit unsure if I was going to like this card, but it turned out simple and sweet, so thank you Jodi for challenging us once again! Now be sure to check out the other Pretties Girl's creation!
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! Stay tuned for sneak peaks of the next Paper Pretties release to come on Friday, you are going to love what is to come!

Dotted Dancing!

It's Monday, which means more Prettie fun! Today I wanted to share with you another card using Sophia Ballerina, the March Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties, isn't she just the cutest! If you haven't signed up for her yet, you have until February 28th by midnight to sign up for the Stamp of the Month program to receive her during March. If you don't sign up not you have to wait all the way until April when she will be released to the public and who wants to wait that long!
I was in the dotted mood today when I created this card, and I love the colors in this paper, so I thought she would look super in some tones of yellow to bring out those dots and make them pop. I mean look at that girl dance, she has some major talent, I wish I could dance like that!

Now on to some Pretties news!

A Little Anya and Ian!

At the last release for The Greeting Farm I saw these Anya and Ian stamps for the very first time and I just love them! I went and ordered both rubber unmounted stamps and some digital stamps and I am just thrilled with how cute they are. I now have a wish list of a few sets I 'need' to add to my collection, whenever I find a new company I order a few stamps, then if I like them (which I do almost every time...) I place another order. I can't wait to place another order for these stamps! As soon as they arrived I went and started coloring in images, and I just love these images more in person! So today I thought I should share my first card showcasing '50s Sweethearts', I mean look at this cute couple! I also pulled out some old but lovely SU! designer series paper to create this card, Flowers For You. Hope you like today's card, I love trying out new stamps and these were no different, and don't worry, you will be seeing more Anya cards here soon....almost done with another card I started using 'Dorothy Anya'. Enjoy!

MFT Lolli-Pops!

This month's My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge was to create something using the colors Pink, Black, White, Grey and Brown in any combination. I decided to use the colors Pink, Black, Grey and White to create a little Valentine's Day gift for a friend. Unfortunately, she hasn't gotten to see her goodies in person yet, which is why I've been waiting to post it here, but I decided that since Valentine's Day has already passed I might as well share it!I love Valentine's Day and there are so many great sets that I pulled out to work with for for this challenge, but I ended up deciding on the MFT Mini set, Be Mine. I had bought Lauren Meader's Lolli-Pop Along template from when it came out and the template has been sitting on my desk hoping to get used. With this challenge I just had to try it out, and I think it came out nicely. I also used a lot of bling, which goes wonderfully with chocolate, don't you think! I had a lot of fun with this challenge, hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

Today is Wednesday, so do you know what that means?! It means that its Pretties Girl's Challenge time! This week I get to share with you the card I created for Jessie's color challenge! Two weeks ago Jessie issued the color challenge of Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss and Cameo Coral which I ended up loving! They are by far my favorite image in the stamp set, even though they are all wonderful, I love these chop sticks! Be sure to check out the other Pretties Girl's, I know their cards are going to be fab, they always are!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope that you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I don't have a Valentine this year, but I spent tonight with my Mom and my Sister, we watched a girly movie, we had dinner, and we went out for dessert. It was a great night and we still may watch another movie shortly. I had flowers sent to my Mom for Valentine's Day and she loves them! They are a variety of Tulips, and not just regular tulips but also some Parrot Tulips (they are so pretty). If they bloom a bit more I will be sure to post a picture of the bouquet. Today's card is one I made for a friend in our little Secret Sister swap, I can't wait till she opens up her gifts and sees this and the lollipop container I made, which I will be posting later this week. I used the 'VLVFeb01' sketch on Spiltcoast Stampers in the Verve Forum for the layout, and I just love how it came out! Hope you enjoy your day of love!

What I LOVE

It's Paper Pretties Wednsday, which means Pretties Challenge time! I love the weekly challegnes that the Pretties Girl's issue to each other, this weeks card I made in responce to Jillian's challenge that was issued two weeks ago. Jillian wanted us to create "A Card You Love". At first I wasn't sure how to take that challenge, but after thinking about it I decided to create a card from things that I love. So, I picked some yummy May Arts ribbon, those adorable twinklets from Taylored Expressions that I have been eating up, some background paper I created, and one of the newly re-released stamp sets from Paper Pretties. Being that Valentine's Day is just around the corner I thought a Valentine's Day card was a must create and I love this stamp set Sealed With a Kiss, it's just so cute! Be sure to check out the other Pretties Girl's blogs to see what they 'LOVE'!

Hip Hop Hangover!

I got to play along yesterday with the Unity Hip Hop Challenges and I was thrilled to be back! I haven't been part of a Hip Hop for the last couple of weeks, and this time was long over due. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner I decided that the two challenges could be combined and a fun Valentine's Day card would be perfect! The two challenges for Hip Hop for yesterday were to create a card where the main image is tilted and the second challenge was to use gel pens, super simple! I got this January Kit of the Month and it's been sitting on my desk screaming to be inked, I was glad to answer the stamp sets call. Hope you like today's card, enjoy my Hip Hop Hangover!

Texture Time!

It's Wednesday so that means its Paper Pretties time! Two weeks ago, Danielle challenged the Pretties Girl's to put some texture onto their cards, but it couldn't be ribbon or primas...eeek! So the first thought I had was to use toole for Ballerina Sophia's outfit, but I couldn't find my toole after a LOT of searching, so I settled for some lace that I had instead. I tried dressing Sophia in lace and I just did not like what I saw, so instead I used the lace in the background over my new Basic Grey Bittersweet DP. I think the lace really works out, I also used my large Circle Nestabilities and these super cute Twinklets I found from Taylored Expressions, they really shine and I love it! I also used my Spica Clear Glitter Pen to make her outfit shine. Hope you like my creation today, be sure to check out the Pretties Girl's cards, I know they are all fab!
If you didn't know this already, the wonderful Danielle also hosts a challenge every week in the Paper Pretties forum! Each challenge seems to be better than the last, plus you can even win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the Paper Pretties Store. So be sure to check out her great challenges!

A Little Birthday Fun!

Last weekend my parents went to a birthday party of an old friend who they had not seen in about ten years. They caught up with this couple at a New Year's party last month and ended up going to the wife's birthday party with another close couple. When talking about what to get Mirta they decided to go in on a basket to include a nice bottle of wine and a gift certificate to a really nice restaurant. The problem was that they needed a card, where would they get a card?! So they called me and asked for a purple birthday card, simple enough, right? I had no idea where to start but I remembered the sneak peak I had created for the stamp set 'Sealed with a Kiss' from Paper Pretties and decided to use the same paper and ribbon. I loved the combination and I think this card really works again, the overall look really seemed to come together. I pulled out my My Favorite Things 'You Take the Cake' stamp set and used the floral cake, my favorite image in that set, its just so pretty! The overall look became a really classy card that not only I love, but so did the birthday girl. Success! Hope you enjoyed today's card!

You Make My Heart Dance

Can you believe that it's February already? It's just crazy, but that means I get to share with you this stunning stamp Sophia Ballerina, the March Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties! I know I say this every month, but I SO mean it, this is my favorite Paper Pretties Stamp to date, I mean look at all the detail and the flow, what's not to love! If you sign up for the Stamp of the Month Club by February 28th at midnight, you will get this stamp sent out to you in March, otherwise, you have to wait until her official release in April, how horrible would that be?! I decided today that I wanted to see her in a different color, with dance I always reach for the pinks, but I felt like blue was a great idea for today and I love how it turned out! I recently received this paper from eP in one of their paper grab bags, I knew that Chatter Box was the way to go and it just matches this adorable Sophia perfectly! Her sheer piece wrapped around he waist is only colored with Shimmerz, isn't that shine just stunning! This color is called December Sky and it was part of the first Blingz release, I just love it! Hope you enjoyed today's card, I had a lot of fun making this card today, enjoy!
