Angelica's Heart Sock Inspiration

Good morning all it is time to share a bit of Inky Impressions Inspiration! That's right, today I have a creation to share with you using one of the fun stamps from the Inky Impressions Store!

Today I decided to ink up Angelica's Heart Socks! I decided to play along with both the current Mojo Monday Sketch as well as the current Ribbon Carousel Challenge! For my ribbon "alter" I bunched it up, sort of like ruffles and picked a ribbon that matched the color I used on Angelica's Socks! I love trying new ways to use ribbon, heck I have a tendency to reach for ribbon with almost all of my cards, and I was glad that I got the chance to play along with this ribbon challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today, I do hope that you enjoy my creation for today and have a fabulous day!
Stamps: Angelica's Heart Socks from Inky Impressions; Paper: Whisper White, Lemon Tart, Blueberry Sky, DP; Ink: B34 Magnese Blue, E00 Skin White, E33 Sand, E42 Sand White, B32 Pale Blue; Accessories: Pop Dots, Sticky Strip, Grosgrain Ribbon

A Bit of Whimsy Mojo

Good morning all! Today I am sharing with you a card I made using one of the newly release Whimsy and Stars Studio spring images! This cutie is called Rosie Ballerina! It's just such a sweet image that it just makes me smile, oh heck they all make me smile!
I have a blast each time I sit down and color in one of Mabelle's images, each image is so detailed and fun to work with. For this image I wanted to play along with the current Mojo Monday challenge! I think that this sketch is pretty neat, I liked the idea of using strips of paper to make the background for my card, so I pulled out a bunch of scraps from a handful of my recent cards and added one more pattern to get the background. I really like how the dots worked so well with both this image and the flowers in the pattern I added from the same designer paper pad. I almost didn't add the ribbon since I couldn't find one ribbon I felt like worked, but as I was taking my photo I spied this stitched ribbon and adjusted the card to add it in, now I am glad I did so.

Have you checked out the Whimsy and Stars Studio Store yet? Well if you haven't, what are you waiting for! You are going to love these fun images, they all make me smile, I know they will do the same for you! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Whimsy and Stars Studio Mojo!

Good morning all! Today I am sharing with you a card I made using one of the newly release Whimsy and Stars Studio spring images! This cutie is called Little Girl Garland! It's just such a sweet image that it just makes me smile, oh heck they all make me smile!I have a blast each time I sit down and color in one of Mabelle's images, each image is so detailed and fun to work with. For this image I wanted to play along with a few challenges that are going on right now. First I decided to play along with the current Mojo Monday challenge, it has been a while since I did one of those and they are always a lot of fun. Plus, I also decided to play along with a brand new challenge from a new company, Ribbon Carousel at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog!
I love playing along with challenges whenever I can, and I had a lot of fun playing with both of these challenges with this one card! The inspirational photo was so sweet and fun but I was really drawn to the bundles of ric rac in the image, there is a light pinkish one and a darker shade, so I went with this designer paper since it had the same effect as the ric rac and I went with two shades of paper as well to mimic it as well.

Have you checked out the Whimsy and Stars Studio Store yet? Well if you haven't, what are you waiting for! You are going to love these fun images, they all make me smile, I know they will do the same for you! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Inky Fun Easel!

In my blog browsing I came to find that Inky Impressions Challenges have been reinstated! I was so excited, all summer Inky Impressions has been on break, but back to school has now also become 'back to Inky'! The first challenge back from their break was to create an easel card, but not only is the card for the challenge, it's also for a spot to be a Guest Designer for a month. I had a blast on the Design Team earlier this year and just had to try my hand at this challenge too!

So after pulling out my Inky Impressions stamps and picking an image, I got to work. I decided to ink up Flower Lili, she always makes me smile and I also decided to play along with two challenges that were on my 'to do list' this week.
While I go through my blogs I save sketches, color combinations, and challenges that catch my eye and this post also serves as a creation for the current Mojo Monday Challenge and the current Color Throwdown Challenge! This weeks Mojo Monday Challenge uses a tag element and lots of different areas for color or pattern paper, perfect for all the colors that are part of the current Color Throwdown Challenge! I really love how this all turned out, the colors really seemed to work well with this image, or maybe it was my mood, either way I am very pleased with what I came up with, I hope you enjoy it too!

For my card today I used the main image, this adorable doggie, from the Dog-Gone Birthday set. This set is one of 7 stamp sets being released this month from our newest Illustrator to the Paper Pretties team, the fabulous Victoria Case! I was thrilled when I heard that she would be joining the team, and this set just proves how wonderful she is! The best thing about these new stamp sets is that each set comes with so much! Dog-Gone Birthday doesn't only include this main image, but also comes with two different sized dog bones, a matching paw print and three sentiments! You really get a lot for what you pay for, and these clear stamps are high quality, and they have the smell to prove it! I think you know what I am talking about, that unique aroma that comes off of these stamp sets tell you all you need to know! In fact I didn't have to even season these stamps when they arrived, I just put my stamps right on my block and pulled out my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad the image was so crisp and so clean immediately! Now on to the details on my card! I wanted to work with this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge if I got the chance, and decided that today's card would be the perfect chance to do just that! I colored in my main image with my Copic markers and pulled out my Cosmo Cricket Designer Paper Pad called Garden Variety Mini Deck that I picked up from the Paper Pretties Store to match! I also used this lovely ribbon that Michele gave me earlier this week, it was part of my early birthday present and it is lovely! I pulled out my eyelet border punch and some red metallic dots to match and tie the whole look together!

It’s our party, but the PRESENTS are for you!! Leave a comment right here on this post to enter to win this fabulous stamp set!! I will take comments until Sunday, August 15th at 6 PM CST, and then one Prettie Lucky stamper will be chosen at random to receive this set!! Can’t get a better deal than that! Mojo On The Farm!

This week Mojo Monday celebrates 100 sketches! How exciting is that and in celebration the Mojo Team has been posting a new sketch every day! I have been following the celebration trying to find time to create a card or two with all these great sketches being posted and Saturday afternoon I finally got the chance to play along! I used this totally adorable stamp from The Greeting Farm called Megan from their Wild Sprout collection! When I looked through all the sketches so far this week at the Mojo Monday I thought that this sketch would be prefect for this image! Not only would it suit this adorable stamp, but I thought that Megan would look wonderful in scallops! I love how bright this card came out, in fact I made it for a The Greeting Farm swap I joined in the swapping forum on SCS, Tammy is hosting this one, and I hope all the ladies love it! Have a wonderful Sunday! Hope you enjoy today's creation!

Chalking it Up....

Yes, a title in more ways then one I think. Two weeks ago Charmine issued a challenge to the Pretties Girl's to create a card using chalks, and to be honest I had no idea where to start. Well, except that I needed to find my chalks of course, that is always a good starting point, but from there I was a bit lost. I ended up deciding on create a card using February's Stamp of the Month. If you are a member or sign up before January 31st you will receive this stamp in February before she is released to the general public, how wonderful is that! I also decided to try Julee's Mojo Monday Week 70 sketch, I used to complete these sketches from time to time and they are always on my list of things to do...but today it got done! Hope you like today's card, I had fun in the long run creating this card, even though it reminded me why I don't use my chalks very often.

Pretties Wednesday Meets Mojo

So many challenges to do and there is only so much time so today I combined the Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge and this weeks Mojo Monday. I also decided since it was a Pretties contest to use the always wonderful Sophia stamp 'Cuddle Me' as my main image. Each week one of the Pretties Girls issues a challenge, the last challenge that was compelted was to create a polka dot card, so I pulled out my Two Scoops paper from Basic Grey and got going. I love Julee's weekly Mojo Monday sketches so I used that sketch as the base for this card...hope you enjoy it!

More Mojo!

Today the plan was to use the new PaperPretties stamps I received in the mail, but I got my hands on some Verve Visual stamps I have had my eye on for a while. Since the Mojo Monday challenge is being hosted by Julee (creator of Verve Visual) I thought it was only right to attempt her sketch challenge with stamps she creates. For this card I used the Wild Thing set from Verve Visual to match the wild things going on with the decorative background paper. This paper is from the Basic Grey Gypsy collection, although I never seem to use it I own many collection packs and about 12 6x6 pads from Basic Grey. I am loving these hearts, they have style and the swirls are a lot of fun. Enjoy ladies! I promise Snowflake is coming soon....I just have to let that guy out to play!

Mojo Monday

I had so much fun last week creating a card for Julee's Mojo Monday Challenge so I joined in today on this weeks challenge. My Dad's birthday is this week so I wanted to create a masculine card for his birthday. I have a tendency to never do masculine cards but this Gina K. stamp was just calling my name. This is his 51st birthday and since we didn't do anything big last year I want to make this year a big deal. I will probably try another masculine card before his birthday (on Saturday) until I find one that I think we would enjoy.Have you seen the 'Tickle Your Funny Bone' stamp sets from Gina K.? I own two of them and to be honest this is the first time I have inked one up but I love these stamps. This set is called "You Know Your Old When" and it is so much fun! I love the sentiments and the matching images, its just great! Gina offers so many fun stamp sets that it is always so hard to choose which one to purchase, so my answer is always buy them all! For the 'manly' look I went with grey and blue, both pretty masculine colors. Hope you enjoy!
