PaperPretties

On Sunday night PaperPretties released two new stamps in conjunction with their Pajama Party, I attended the party but I did not create cards for the challenges. I wasn't feeling up to stamping on Sunday night, I am feeling much better but now I don't have time to stamp! Christie picked the newest Cutie Pie for PaperPretties Sunday night as well, and although I entered this round, I was no selected, but don't worry I will keep on trying! I thought I would share with you the three cards I created using the coffee set that PaperPretties released in late February. These cards I created a backaground paper for by stamping a pattern from the coffee bean pile that comes with this stamp set. I had a lot of fun turning the coffee beans in different directions to get various looks to the paper I was creating. I colored all parts of these images with Copic markers, then I went over the sugar bowls and the coffee pots with a Spica clear glitter pen...I love this thing! I don't know if you can see them, but these pens really create a nice shine to a fun image. I created the last card before I created the yellow coffee pot card, there was something about the coral that I didn't like so I tried a similar card with a differnt color to try and get better results. I like the layout of the coral card more, but the colors of the yellow card...oh well, you can't win them all.

I love these cards! They almost make me wish I liked to drink coffee....but you know what? All of my FRIENDS drink coffee so I think I still need that set:) The background paper you created is GREAT! Keep on entering...your work is wonderful and your day will come!

Hey Jackie, I was just commenting on your cards at Christie's blog...but I'll post here as well. I love your designs for these sets...especially the 'bean' themes, since me and my coffee are 'best friends'! I love your talent and your enthusiasm, so I look forward to all of your future contributions for the Cutie Pie Contest. And I'm soooooo glad I'm not in Christie's shoes...your work demonstrates how difficult her decision has to be! Keep entering, I just believe you will soon be a 'Cutie Pie' yourself! Hugs, Barb g
