Whimsy and Stars Studio Mojo!

Good morning all! Today I am sharing with you a card I made using one of the newly release Whimsy and Stars Studio spring images! This cutie is called Little Girl Garland! It's just such a sweet image that it just makes me smile, oh heck they all make me smile!I have a blast each time I sit down and color in one of Mabelle's images, each image is so detailed and fun to work with. For this image I wanted to play along with a few challenges that are going on right now. First I decided to play along with the current Mojo Monday challenge, it has been a while since I did one of those and they are always a lot of fun. Plus, I also decided to play along with a brand new challenge from a new company, Ribbon Carousel at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog!
I love playing along with challenges whenever I can, and I had a lot of fun playing with both of these challenges with this one card! The inspirational photo was so sweet and fun but I was really drawn to the bundles of ric rac in the image, there is a light pinkish one and a darker shade, so I went with this designer paper since it had the same effect as the ric rac and I went with two shades of paper as well to mimic it as well.

Have you checked out the Whimsy and Stars Studio Store yet? Well if you haven't, what are you waiting for! You are going to love these fun images, they all make me smile, I know they will do the same for you! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Today the Inky Impressions Design Team will be sharing our creations for the current Inky Impressions Challenge! For my card today I decided to ink up Fairy Lili, I just love this image and she just screams shine to me! I used this great designer paper from America Crafts called Happy Go Lucky, perfect colors and brights for this image I thought. For my card today I used this cute image called Bugaboo Brat Party Dress! I just think that this image would be prefect for a confirmation card or even a birthday card for any little girl. This image is whimsical, but also very stylish, party dresses are always a lot of fun and I think that this image captures that. I wanted to create a simple but elegant card with this image and I think that scalloped and regular oval nestabilities create that feeling, plus the little pearls in the scallops just finish it all off.

Scoops!

Good afternoon! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for two challenges going on right now. The first challenge is the current MFT Sketch, I am loving these sketches. This one took me a bit of time to get into, but once I got an idea it all seemed to come together. Here is what I was to be working off of.
I wanted to use this adorable PI image and when I realized that I didn't have the little alphabet or the other banner dies that MFT has I decided to improvise and use the banner dies I did have. I also pulled out my Here's the Scoop stamp set and used the ice cream scoop image to create a banner of ice cream! I mean what could be better then lots and lots of ice cream?!
I do hope you enjoy what I created, I had a lot of fun with a challenging sketch, but I think it worked out in the end.I also wanted to play along with the current Ribbon Carousel Challenge, which is to create a card that is clean and simple, and I certainly think that this card would count for that. Not too many layer or embellishments, just the bare necessities and lots of cuteness!

I had so much fun with this card, it reminds me of all the warm weather and hot days. Have a great day, and thank you for stopping by!
Stamps: Make Mine a Double and Here's the Scoop form My Favorite Things; Paper: Whisper White, Lemon, Rose Red, SU! Yesterday at Paper Pretties we released Beatrice Butterfly and Pasha Panda. For my card this week I used the image Pasha Panda and make a sweet but simple card. I wanted something very clean and simple, because I felt that the image was perfect for that sort of card, with crisp and clean lines would work well. I pulled out my square nestabilities and used them for this image and then layered it with a scalloped square layer. Then added some pop dots and a fun little bow on the bottom.

I hope you enjoyed my creation for today, be sure to come back next Tuesday to see more great Whatnots from Paper Pretties! Have a great day!

A Bit of Verve

I have been a huge fan of Verve for ages now, but when I packed everything up for the move my Verve stamps ended up in boxes that I couldn't get to. Well good news I started going into the boxes that had yet to be opened and found all my Verve stamps! It took a little bit of work, but I decided to play with two of the challenges Verve has going on right now too!The first being the current Viva La Verve Sketch, which is so darn cute! The second being the May Get Your Diva On Challenge! I have been watching these challenges since Julee introduced them and decided to play along this time. The current challenge is to use fabric on your creation so I stopped by Hobby Lobby and picked up two different black and white prints and made a card around both of those. The first print is the center scalloped circle on my card, the second print was cut out using a rose die to create a mostly black, with a bit of white accents rose. Since the fabrics I picked out were black and white I wanted to continue to color scheme in the rest of the card with a pop of one color, in this case I went with red since I just had to ink up Love Monkey! I had never realized that this poor guy had yet to see ink, but no worries, he is all inked up now! Plus I had to finish it all off with a bit of stitching and a fun red ribbon!

I had a lot of fun with both of these challenges, I do hope you enjoy my creation for today! Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Stamps: Love Monkey from Verve; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pure Poppy; Accessories: Glue Dots, Glue Gun, Pop Dots, Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Die-Namics Rolled Rose Die, Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Seeing Spots

There She Goes Ispiration Challenge!

I finally got the chance today to not only ink up one of my new There She Goes stamp sets, but to also play along with the current challenge! I always write down and save the TSG Challenges, but I never seem to sit down and play along, so I am so glad that I got the chance this weekend. I am usually not a fan of Inspiration Challenges, but I really liked this image, it is just so rich and bright!I decided to ink up my Blossom By Blossom stamps and I am so glad that I picked this image, she is so darn cute! Okay, correction, the whole stamp set is cute! I wanted to use the same bright colors as the picture has so I pulled out my Copic makers and got to work. I even used the colors going from her shirt to her pants in the order they are in the picture, I think it works well. I went a little crazy with my sewing machine, but I had fun with it, can you tell?! I also thought that this image would have the most impact if she was cut out and the attached with pop dots to add a bit of dimension.

I do hope you like my creation for today, I had so much fun with this one, I think it might be the bright colors, they just make me smile! Have a fabulous day all, and thank you for stopping by!

For my card today I used this cute Cupcake - Strawberry for my main image! I wanted to make the frosting a pretty pink and then use that colors for the rest of the card too! I had a hard time picking which papers I wanted to use that had both polka dots and stripes but I settled on this paper from My Mind's Eye called Stella Rosa. The shades are so rich in color and a bit intimidating, but I think these colors worked well with the final product.

I hope you enjoyed my creation for today, I can't wait to see what you create for this weeks challenge! Have a fabulous weekend all!

Inky Inspiration!

Good morning all it is time to share a bit of Inky Impressions Spunky Scooter Lili! That's right, today I have a creation to share with you using this adorable image from the Inky Impressions Store!
For my card today I wanted to create a bright and cheery card. I used my Spunky Scooter Lili and the current Color Throwdown Challenge! This week the color combination is So Saffron, Rose Red, and Aqua! I thought this color combination was perfect for this fun image, and would help me make that bright card I was thinking of at the same time.

Have you heard about the current sale? Well, Inky Impressions had such a great show at the AIS convention that Nicole decided to continue on the sale through the store too! Be sure to head on over to the store and take advantage of this sale while you still can, you won't regret it! I had a blast shopping myself, and I am thrilled to have some new Inky's to play with!

Have a wonderful day, and thank you for stopping by to see my creation for today! I hope you enjoyed what I was able to share with you!

Happy Birthday Nancy!

Today the Prettie Girl's are celebrating Nancy Bush's Birthday! If you didn't know, whenever one of the DT Girl's celebrates a birthday at Paper Pretties the clear stamp and digi design teams join forces for a massive blog hop to celebrate!

For my card today I decided to use this fun image from Paper Pretties called Make A Wish Sophia! I have all sorts of card kits that I never used so for today's card I decided to pull one out that was still untouched. For this card I used Prism cardstock in Raven, Lily Pan, and Blossom, I think the three colors work well together. Then for my designer paper I used two different patterned sheets from My Mind's Eye from the Lush line, in fact the paper piecing on Sophia's dress is the same designer paper as is used to the left of the main image, but I used my BG10 Copic marker and added a layer of color to her skirt. I also used this really fun swirled ribbon in a sheer white with pink swirls, then to finish off the card I added some pop dots for dimension and a few pearls at the corners.

I do hope you enjoyed this stop, but keep hopping your way through and be sure to leave lots of Birthday love for Nancy! Your next stop on today's hop is Kelly Collin's Blog! I am sure she will have something fun to share with you! Have a fabulous day!
Stamps: Make A Wish Sophia from Paper Pretties; Paper: Whisper White, Raven, Lily Pad, Blossom, My Mind's Eye Lush DP; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, E00 Skin White, Y11 Pale Yellow, BG10 Cool Shadow, N5 Neutral Gray No. 5, R81 Rose Red, YG11 Mignonette; Accessories: Pop Dots, Quickie Glue Pen, Zva Pearls, Organdy Swirl Ribbon

Inky Impressions Gets Sketchy!

Good morning all! Today I get to share with you the card I created for the new Inky Impressions Challenge! This week Michaela is our challenge host at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog, and her challenge to use the following sketch!Today the Inky Impressions Design Team will be sharing our creations for the current Inky Impressions Challenge! For my card today I decided to ink up Shy Little Nickie. I just love how elegant this stamp is and I wanted the rest of the card to reflect that so I went with a teal on teal color combination that I used this weekend and really liked. I used the same Kaiser Scrapbook Spirograph designer paper and again pulled shades of the designer paper into the main image.

I love all the layers that Michaela used in her sketch, it really was a wonderful sketch to follow for this weeks Inky Impressions Challenge! For the scalloped element I used my eyelet border punch and tied some matching satin ribbon I have around the element and finished it off with a big bow. I then added some self adhesive rhinestones to the top right corner as in the sketch, what a simple but fun way to complete a corner. I had the hardest time trying to decide what sort of elements to use in the bottom right hand corner of the card to reflect the sketch. I finally decided on using some Prima flowers that I have and adding some rhinestones to the flower centers to finish it off.

I hope you like my take on the current Inky Impressions Challenge, be sure to join in on all the fun over at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Inklettes have created, they are sure to impress! I can’t wait to see what you create! Have a wonderful day all!

Each week on Sunday we share with everyone more creations using the same challenge as inspiration! This week our challenge is to use the color combination of black, pink and just a touch of green! For my card today I used this darling image from My Favorite Things called Flower Girl, I thought that she would be perfect for a Mother's Day card for my mom. I decided to use this current MFT Sketch for my card, I am trying to keep up with the sketches each week but it always seems that I save the sketch and by the time I start playing time is up. This week I am finally ahead of myself and got the chance to play along and I had a lot of fun with this layout, plus I got this fun gingham paper at my LSS on Saturday, they had a sale for National Scrapbooking Day!

Happy Birthday Janet!

Today the Prettie Girl's are celebrating Janet Rossi's Birthday! If you didn't know, whenever one of the DT Girl's celebrates a birthday at Paper Pretties the clear stamp and digi design teams join forces for a massive blog hop to celebrate!

For my card today I decided to use this fun image from Paper Pretties called Make A Splash Sophia and the sentiment from Surprise Sophia! I used this fun decorative paper from Echo Park's Springtime line, I just love the spring colors! I used the scalloped paper for the majority of my background since I thought it would look like waves that this Sophia would be creating. I also played along with the new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, although I did change it a bit by adding a ribbon and matching bow down the side, as well as adding the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment to the bottom left corner of the card. I tied it all together with a bit of bling to the corners.

Here is the full Blog Hop list, just in case you get lost along the way!

There She Goes Mother of All Blog Hops!

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Mother of All Blog Hops sponsored by There She Goes Clear Stamps! If you arrived at my blog from Denise Marzec's Blog then you are in the right place! If not, please head back to the There She Goes Blog to find out all the details on the prizes and not miss any of the fun!

For my creations today I picked the stamp set Spread Your Wings, I simply love this set. In fact I had signed up to use this stamp set last year for the first Mother of All Blog Hops, but I couldn't find the stamp set anywhere. It was hiding from me...silly set! But, I win this time because I was able to find it in time to use this year!

I found this lovely teal decorative paper and used it for inspiration on this card, I pulled both a darker shade with the Baja Breeze and a lighter shade with Aqua Mist plus I added a bit of white for some pop. I really love how this card came out, it just all seems to work together. I do hope you like today's creations as much as I do!

Now it's time to hop on over to Karen Giron's Blog to continue on your way! Thank you for hopping along with us today, I hope you have a wonderful day!
