Stamping Time

I was able to stamp a bit today with all of my Paper Pretties goodies. I am loving my newest Bella, Jammiebella, and my new stamp set Charge It! So here are the two cards I put together today, the Jammiebella card is created with the contents of my Basic Box from Paper Pretties. Jammiebella is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Brazzil CS, and DP from Paper Salon. Included in the box is also white grosgrain ribbon, turquoise brads, and white and turquoise primas. I could have added more to this card, but I think it looks cute as it is. Hope you like it!

This is my first My Favorite Things stamp set and I think it is wonderful! It reminds me of my own shopping ability, I'm sure there are other ladies that can relate to that. I never use Old Olive, so I decided to challenge myself to use it. Do you have a SU! color you never use? I challenge you to find a way to use that color the next time you stamp!

"Charge It":
Cardstock: SU! Old Olive, Whisper White, Eggplant Envy
Ink: SU! Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Lavender Lace, Brocade Blue, More Mustard, Blush Blossom
Embellishments: Blue Brazzil Brads

Happy Mail!

Well ladies, I am sick again. This time with a upper respetory infection....no fun! But on the fun side all sorts of things came for me in the mail today! I got my $5 Mommy, who sent all sorts of fun things. The picture is to the left, I love the tin! It is super adorable and filled with fun things that I can't wait to use!

I also received a lovely RAK from a fellow SCS member, two Wish RAKs and my April Paper Pretties Box! I love, love, love Paper Pretties!

I used my gift certificate to purchase the "Say Charge" set from My Favorite Things. I can't wait to start using Jammiebella and Say Charge, they are going to be so much fun to play with. For those of you who have not yet signed up for Paper Pretties, go for it! Christie is now offering three different sized boxs and three different stamping companies. Plus, if you say that "Jackie Rakoski" sent you when you sign up (must be at the time you sign up, not after) Christie will waive the one time members fee of $7.50.

Friday Fluffles!

I would love to share my very first Fluffles card! Today is Friday and I can't wait for the weekend, of course I will be doing my studio final but I still love the weekend. I have recently joined the Wish RAK group on SCS and I love it. I requested some Fluffles images and today some showed up for me. So I broke out those images and started making...here is what came out. I used one of the Prima flowers I won in blog candy and the paper is my newest Basic Grey paper Scarlet Letter. Do you have these papers yet? They are lovely, if you haven't seen them I would suggest looking around for them. I don't own any scalloped punches yet but someone sent me a few and I wanted one in another color so I traced the one scalloped square I have and cut it out. It seemed to turn out okay.

Oh! Have you seen the counter on the side? I am over 800 views! YAY! If/when that counter reaches 1000 views some more blog candy will be popping up...in case you were wondering.

Happy Mail!

I received my first package from the Secret Mother's Day swap I am in hosted by Heather (chriss1josh2) on SCS. I love these swaps they are so much fun and the ladies who joined could not be better people! There is one more day to sign up for Heathers Secret Girlfriend swap if your interested, there are 5 groups...$5, $10, $15, $20, and $25. I of course had to join all sorts of groups, it gives me a chance to shop without having to feel bad about all that spending. This picture is of my first gift...can you find the Bella? I received cardbackabella today! Plus so many lovely things that I can't contain myself. I can definatly say that all of these things can not total $5, thank you so much "Mommy" you did an excellent job! I love everything!

I have a bunch of other things I have been making, but they are for these secret swaps so I can't really post them. Sorry ladies, I know you want to see them and I want to share, but I don't want to ruin the surprise! I will be taking pictures that I can share at a later time though!

And the Rain Came Pouring Down

It has been raining since yesterday morning. For about a hour today it was also snowing, the weather has been crazy! There was so much rain that my teacher cancelled class due to all of the flooding around. I don't like the rain really, but hey I got out of class for it today, so I guess its not that bad! Today I received some Primas I got in a bulk buy on SCS plus some Basic Grey paper I ordered from EmbellishitScrapbooking. I've added a link to the site on my Links list on the right side, they're having a good sale on Cuttlebug Embellishing Folders. I ordered on Friday and everything got here today, talk about speedy shipping!

Odd picture isn't it? This is a branch that came down in my yard that stuck up in the ground from the storm. Interesting isn't it...I thought it should be shared...LOL..the little fence behind the branch is my garden which is water logged, but will eventually grow.

Dainty Daisy

So...I've been doing my school work, so I've decided to take a break. On my break I figured I should make some cards for one of the swaps I am in. So here is my newest Dainty Bella Card. Do you like? I think she's classy, I even dressed her! My Michael's is redoing their scrap booking section so I got all sorts of paper on discount! I also received some brads and two different types of ribbon from Heidi, or pinkhedgehog. Check out her blog for ribbon shares, Hedgehog-ink she has lovely ribbon to share. I'll be posting a picture of those ribbons tomorrow I think, so stay tuned!

My boss loved her baby card, as did the rest of the office. Thank you for some comments on the card, I hoped you liked it!

Baby time!

Well, my boss leaves tomorrow for at least 10 weeks to give birth to a lovely baby. We still do not know what she is having, she doesn't want to know until she gives birth, so it will be a surprise for everyone. I was asked to make the card for all of us to sign at work tomorrow, so here it is! Let me know what you think. I know the colors are unusual, but her favorite color is green and she painted the nursery green and yellow with a blue sky. Enjoy!

Check it out!

I as reading though my Google Reader and I found a message from Allison about a wonderful cause. Joanne B. is offering one blog candy ticket for every dollar you donate to Sarah Scaletta. Sarah is participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on May 19th and 20th in Boston in memory of her mother. I had a girlfriend while I was going to high school that tried to attended this walk in memory of her Grandmother. The maraton is an amazing feat to take on and few can raise the money to be able to walk in the walk itself, there is a minimum donation needed to participate.

I highly recommend going to Joanne's Blog, not only to learn more, but to help out a great cause. You will not be sorry, donating helps everyone, maybe one day it will help someone you know.

Well...

I am sorry to say that I will be busy for the next two weeks, stamping will be at a minimum. I have my studio final coming up on the 26th, so I can't be spending "free-time" with stamping. Although I would love to stamp all day long, I need to be good and not hang out on the Internet stamping world. I will be posting an image of the baby card I have to make for Friday. You see my boss at one of my jobs is having a baby! So, being the good little worker bees that we are at work we are getting her a cake and having a going away party! The card will be green and yellow with baby hands, but I can't think of what sort of layout I want for it! I'll figure something out....The picture here is a blast from the past! This card is from the May 2006 VSN on SCS, I was roaming though my files looking for card ideas and I just had to share this card. I love it! Enjoy! Hope to see you all soon :)

On another note, Em at Stamping Bella has debuted her Fella! He is cute, not what I was thinking of, but his first stamp is perfect for prom season, so make sure you stop by to see Fella and Bella in their glory!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I posted yesterday that I would take a picture of all the beautiful ribbon I received from Jody. Here it is! I am loving these ribbons. I have found that the double stitched ribbon frays a lot, but otherwise they are wonderful. I am not a big rick rac fan, but the 1/8" rick rac is really nice and a simple embellishment to any card. The thicker rick-rac I could leave, but I figure I can use it for Secret swaps I do, it really is lovely, just not my style. Well, I hope you all have a great day with your family! I know I'm excited that my Uncle and his girl friend will be coming, I haven't seen them in forever! Then I will be going to James' house for his family Easter celebration. Enjoy!

Hello Again

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been trying to catch up at work and all the swaps I signed up for. With that came a few new cards, in fact one is the image you see with this post. I joined a swap where we had to use something from the Spring Mini, so here is my card. I used some of the new ribbon I got from Jody. I already received my April May Arts Share. It was super fast shipping! She had a few spools so the first orders have already been filled and I am loving the ribbon I got!

Have you seen her? Em over at Stamping Bella has added a new Bella! Her name is PMSBella, perfect for all us ladies, I love her!

Do you need to see a picture of my new ribbon? Maybe I should take one...if I do it will be coming tomorrow! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter celebration! Hope the Bunny Hops on over to your home :)

Silly Me!

I didn't get a chance to stamp as I wanted to last night. To be honest I have been sick for about the last two weeks. First I had a sinus infection then I caught the flu...yuck! I have finished all of the meds they gave me for the sinus infection, but I still have it! Evil thing just won't go away. So I didn't get to stamp, but going through all of my things I made a Bella card for an up coming Bella Swap and i haven't shared it yet! I hope you enjoy my newest FlowahBella card. I love the bright happy colors, makes things so springy! Hope you like it! I used some fun punches and some lovely Prima flowers, these are Daisy Craze from the Prima Share Jody offered. I love them, I made sure to add a brad in the center to add another dimension to the card. Then I accented those brads by using some more brads on the sentiment "Absolutely Fabulous". So cute!

Stamps: FlowahBella, Amazing to Zany, Polka Dots & Petals
SU! Colors Paper: Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Only Orange, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel, Yo Yo Yellow, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink
