Some Goodies

I am always signing up for Secret Exchanges and this Holiday season is just like any other. I signed up for the Wish RAK Secret Elf Exchange and Molly was my Elf! She really spoiled me with some wonderful glittery paper, stickles, and stamps! I don't even know where to start, I had only one Ollie and Olivia stamp and now I have three! (The Robin's Nest Dew Drops are not from Molly, but they recently came in the mail so I had to share!)I have also been creating away....okay that isn't that true, but I have been thinking about creating. I have been pretty wiped, so the stamping has basically haulted, but I have begun a fun card using my 'Meet Me at the Cafe' set from My Favorite Things. This set is just so much fun to play with. I am creating these cards for a card swap with fellow PaperPretties members, so I am not allowed to show the final product, but I thought you would enjoy the main image colored of course with my Copics!

Yes, that is right, and not just any Bella but one of the newer Bellas, Partygirlabella. Just leave a comment on this post or on the last Day of Bellas, Day 12. I will keep this blog candy up until New Years, so you can get your own party on with Partygirlabella!

Days of Bella, Day 9

We are getting closer and closer to Day 12....where there will be a surprise, which I think I will keep up for a few days, just in case you miss it the day it is released. For today I picked a wonderfully seasonal Wreathabella kit from Nicole (rubypickles). This kit came complete with a card base, two 6 x 6 decorative papers (both glittery!), a baggie of embellishments that include red stain ribbon, one large brad, and one small brad that has a adorable flower sequin on it, plus an image of Wreathabella herself! This is one of my favorite Bellas, although I will say that she intimidates me, so just looks so perfect inked up, as many Bellas do, that the fear of ruining her cuteness creeps up, but I think this card came out nicely. As always, please leave a comment on this post and one person will be randomly selected to celebrate the season with Wreathabella!

We have a Day 8 winner....Julie!

Days of Bellas, Day 8

Another Bella to play with! This one is called Sweetybella! This fun kit came from Jessica (jess8869) complete with three sheets of decorative paper, a baggie full of goodies to embellish that includes blue grosgrain ribbon, four different colored brads, and four coordinating prima flowers, plus the Sweetybella image to color in. After making all these cards I am having so much fun coloring in all these images! To enter to win this card please leave a comment on this post and I will randomly select one winner to received these cute Bellas and all the left over supplies. Do you recognize the sketch? I browse all sorts of blogs, and today Gina posted this sketch and I just had to try it out. Enjoy!

Also, thank you for your wonderful comments. I am sure I will be fine, but it is great to have people wish you well. The website for the Elyzbells. for those of you who have been asking is: www.elzybells.co.uk/ but remember that this is a UK company, so shipping may take longer and the prices are in Pounds, not Dollars (I live in the US but these look so much nicer and larger so I just had to order from the UK). Elizabeth was the lady who helped me and she was such a sweet heart! I will definatly order again, but not until a new line comes out that I just have to have!

Day 7 winner is....Roxi! Come on down!

Mail Call!

Today was a tough day I had to leave work early for a doctors appointment for a rash on my leg. I went and it seems that I may have shingles, or a list of various other things so I get to take lots of pills! Woo-hoo! Oh and not just any pills....horse sized pills! My leg is pretty sore and sort of hard to walk on, so I am hoping one of these things will fix it. I was a bit down when I walked in the door then I saw my mail pile! I got my orders from two different stamp companies today! I received not only my PaperTrey order, but also my Elyzbells! YAY! Now these Elyzbells are not the ones through A*Muse, but ones from the UK, so they are larger than the others and I can not wait to play! Here is a picture of my goodies!I promise to post when I create something with these bad boys!

Days of Bellas, Day 7

We are more than half way there now! And these cards just keep coming! Today I thought we needed something hip and happening so I dug through the pile to find the kits I had in mind that features Billboardabella! This kit came from Rae Anne (huera90) with all sorts of goodies, not only did a great Billboardabella image come inside, but along with the fun image came a package of 50 mini black round brads, 6 feet of black and polka dotted ribbon (that matches one of the papers), plus 4 different 6 x 6 decorative papers to play along with! I could not bring myself to open the ribbon and brads she sent with this kit, I think they should go to the winner of this card, so instead I used some yummy ribbon I received through a ribbon share that Jody hosted, so it is May Arts of course!Funky, don't you think? From the ones that I have posted so far, this is my favorite, although are are some better ones to come! Please leave a comment on this post to be entered to win this fun card. I will randomly select a winner and post it tomorrow!

Day 6 winner is.....Ashley!

Days of Bella, Day 6

We are half way there! So I thought I would showcase one of the kits that Tracey (silversdaze) created. Not only did she send in two cute kits, but she also included an adorable image of the card she created with her own kit. Now this kit is truly a card kit, it came complete with a Regal Rose card base, two 4" x 5 1/4" sheets of decorative paper, a cuttlebugged oval shaped white cardstock, a smaller piece of Bazzil green cardstock for layering, sparkly netting already stamped with Spousabellas image (for paper piercing) a packed baggie of a white bow, crystal bling, pop dot and a great linen white cardstock with Spousabella on it.This kit was just too much, and I love how the card came out, I hope you also enjoy it ladies. Please leave a comment on this post to be entered to win this card.

Day of Bellas, Day 5

This card I created using a kit that one of the Ladies created, I am actually unsure which one it was, unfortunately this baggie isn't labeled but the contents were too good to pass up. I have Walkabella and I can never decide what to do with her, but this kit came with to 6 x 6 decorative papers for doggies, some organdy ribbon with doggie foot prints, a spiral clip, and two Walkabella images! Please leave a comment on this post so that this Bella and her cute doggie can walk right over to your doorstep, you know you want her!

Days of Bella, Day 4

To be honest, it was no easy task picking which Bella kits to use from all of the ones that come in, there are way more than 12 ladies who joined in on the fun, otherwise I would showcase one card from each player. My requirements for picking are simple, different stampers who used different Bellas. Today I am showing you a fun card that I created from a kit that KelliJo created using Snowbunnyabella. This Snowbunny came with an already cuttlebugged piece of white card stock, a winter background paper, two silver brads, blue stitched ribbon, sheer blue ribbon and of course Snowbunnyabella herself.
Please leave a comment on this post to be entered to win this snowy card and all the left over supplies from the kit that Kelli sent in for group 5!

Hanna Stamps!

This is not part of the 12 Days of Bellas, but I just had to share this cute Hanna card I created. I have been eyeing my Rain Day stamp set for a while but I haven't had the chance to ink her up until now. I went for the polka-dot theme....can you tell? This ribbon is what I have left over from the Christmas cards I created for my boyfriend's family to send out this year, I think it went perfectly with this paper pierced creation. I used my Garnet marker from Copics to color over some of the fun decorative paper to give the image the two tone effect. I added white as an accent, and some silver eyelets to brighten things up. Hope you enjoy my Rainy Day creation!

Days of Bellas, Day 3

I hope you are all enjoying these cards, because I know that I am having a blast creating away over here. I have also been thinking about possibly adding something towards the end of the days to the card and kits, so don't stop coming, something may be coming.... Today I picked a Fella kit, yes that is right! Several Ladies within the group sent Fellas as their kits and they are just as fun as the Bellas. This kit was created by Inkonmyhands she sent in two wonderful manly 6 x 6 papers, brown grosgrain ribbon, a super cute hammer charm, and of course Mr. Fixafella as well! I added the craft paper to go with him being so 'crafty'.Please leave a comment on this post to be entered to win Mr.Fixafella yourself, he is very handy around the house, you know you want him! I will randomly pick one of you and then he will be arriving at a home near you soon.

Another winner, this time for Day of Bellas 2. The randomly selected number for Day 2 is 3 which means.....Fiona come on down!

More Penny Black and Fun to come!

Yesterday I took the time to make another fun card using another one of my Penny Black stamps, this one being called 'Garden Gossip'. I am a huge fan of these cutesy Hedgehogs and the lady bug is just super cute! For this card I layered my Nestabilities (the scalloped rectangles) with white and red dotted paper. I thought it would offset the dots on the lady bug nicely, and I think it works this time. I layered the Hedgehog image on red card stock and then layered it all on top of the scalloped rectangles. I wanted to add a little something so I layered some ribbon below the paper. Let me know what you think!

I read all the comments that came in today ladies and I am thrilled that you liked the cards I created. I have been ordering my Nestabilities from Cut at Home and I have been using my 40% off coupon for V.I.P.s. Each month there is a new coupon sent out to everyone who signs up as a V.I.P. at Cut at Home, all you need to do is add the coupon code to your order comments section and you get 40% off one product sold on the site (with a few exceptions). I have already used three coupons to order the Rectangles, Ovals, and Circles Sets (it comes to $51.00 plus shipping for each set!). What a value ladies! Yes, most are on back order, but they will come eventually!
Plus, big news! Tomorrow marks the first day of my '12 Days of Bellas!' I will be posting a card that I created from the Bella Kits in the First Bella Kit Swap I hosted here every day for the next 12 days. Each day I will be randomly selecting one lucky lady who comments on the card to receive the card created and the rest of the card kit. I hope you will play along and hopefully I will be able to send some fun cards your way! As a sneak peak....here is a picture I took of all the kits I now have to choose from!

Stamping Away!

So I have been doing all sorts of things this week, and as part of that I have a few swaps to catch up on that are due soon. Here is one of the cards I made for a card swap, it was an any occasion swap using stamps that weren't SU! so I signed up for two spots with Penny Black stamps. This is one of my two. I also dug through all the Bella Card Kits and pulled out this one, this kit was created by Rita Faison and I loved all the goodies included in it. There were several types of ribbon to play with and some great primas. Nicely done Rita!I love the decorative paper that you sent with this image, it is just perfect together! I added the copper brads to the mini primas to bring out the accents in the paper. I used my Nestabilities Dies, and I love them! This is the first time I tried them, and so far I am having lots of fun!

Copic Glitter Markers

Ladies! I love my Copic glitter markers, and today I was asked where I got these from. I ordered mine from Ellen's site, Ellen Hutson, LLC. She had a sale last weekend where you got a percentage off of everything you ordered. I had heard several SCSers talking about these markers and how they had bought them from Ellen, so I gave it a shot and ordered the entire set of 13 and the colors are wonderful! The set includes:
00 - Clear
01 - Lavender
02 - Pink
03 - Red
04 - Orange
05 - Lemon
06 - Melon
07 - Olive
08 - Turquoise
09 - Sky Blue
10 - Black
11 - Gold
12 - Silver

So far I have used these on almost every card I created this week. I used them on my birthday card for the MFT challenge and on most of the cards I created Friday night at the Bella Ball. They really are a lot of fun, I love my regular glitter and my stickles, but those flakes of glitter can get everywhere and be messy, these pens add glitter and shine without the mess. How can you not love them!

Bell at the Bella Ball

Now is that a title or what?! Last night was the celebration of Stamping Bella being around for a year already! I still can't believe it has been that long since those wonderful ladies sucked me into their world....ummm...I meant started arriving at my door step! There was Bella reveals, which if you haven't seen stop reading this post and check out the wondrous new Bellas over at Stamping Bella. There was seven different challenges posted by a great group of hosts, in fact Gina stopped by to give away some Bellas and host a challenge as well! Thank you to everyone who put this wonderful night together, I had a blast! So on to the cards....
The first challenge was to create a tri-fold card, which I haven't done in a while, but I had a blast! I pulled out my Copics (which I used all night!) and started coloring away. This decorative paper I made about a month ago when I first received my PaperTrey stamps, so I thought I would give it another go, and I think it really works with this Huggybella image.
Next came the first of several sketch challenges, this one was fun to make. A little different...I couldn't decide what color to make her hair so I just didn't color it in....take that. LOLAnother sketch challenge where I decided to go for the purple look. To be honest I don't seem to use the colors purple very often, so it was a bit of a challenge to come up with something, but I think it worked out for the best. I really like my Daintybella, she was the first bella I received which came to my door step from PaperPretties, that was the beginning of the end....now I have at least 45 Bellas.....The next one turned out pretty conservative, considering the challenge was to go wild. I used my glitter copic markers which I ado even more than my Copic themselves! I have had this flower sitting on my desk ready to be used for a few weeks, and I thought it would be the perfect touch that this card needed.About a month ago the wonderful KelliJo sent this cute "non-bella" Bella stamp my way, it was in my cart waiting to be bought, but she thought hers needed a new home. So Christini has come to stay! Last night was the first time I inked it up, and although I have mixed feeling about the final card, I think it was a lot of fun to colors in and explore.

The last card and last challenge...Gina hosted a sketch challenge to end the night and I loved her sketch. It seems that through most of the night I was using diagonals, so what better way to end then with a sketch that comes with it own diagonals! Gina's example was stunning, I wasn't sure if I could come close to living up to her standards, but I think this card speaks for itself. It is fun and I just love it, the colors turned out great together and the sentiment just topped it off. Thank you creating such a wonderful challenge Gina!

I hope you all had as much fun as I did last night, the Bella Ball was a success!

One More Go!

After having so much fun last night with the MFT challenge, I had to rush home and give it another go around. This time I couldn't decide on a set, so I decided to use a set I had yet to make a card with, so this time the set I pulled out was the 'You Take the Cake' set. It is a great birthday set, so I made just that, a fun birthday card.
To be honest, I have only made one or two ATCs ever, so getting to make these cute mini cards has been a blast, in fact I am thinking about trying to make more cards from an ATC into a full card. It seems to give the overall card more definition, which I love! For the image I used my brand new Copic Glitter markers that arrived last night from Ellen's store. She had a sale this past weekend, so I had to get a few things. I broke down and bought the full glitter set and five other Copic markers. In fact, one of the colors I used on this card, the entire image is colored in using the glitter markers except the large flowers which were colored in by Frost Blue (B00) from Copic Sketch. You may not be able to see the glitter, but it is wonderful! The shine on the image is great, I can't wait to play with these a bit more.

MFT Release and Cocktail Party

Tonight was the release party for the new sets My Favorite Things, this month there are three and I just have to have them all! All sorts of people were about in the SCS forum and we had a blast. There was also a challenge posted to become a Guest Designer for MFT in January, I just had to give it a try! So here is my entry, I am loving this set, 'Its a Jungle Out There', how can you not love a set with such a cute Elephant!
The challenge was to create an ATC and a matching card too. I wanted to make a cute card with my new favorite MFT set (it changes all the time!) and decided to dig out the cuttlebug and my new grey paper. Then what would make a card cuter then using the color pink!I made the background for this card with the 'vine' image from the same set, I thought it went nicely with the swirls embossed card stock and added a nice touch. I can't wait to see what everyone else makes. Best of luck girls!

Velvety Snow

I sat down and completed the card I began last night. So far it is my favorite Gina K. Stamps card, I love how simple but classy this card came out. I think the velvet ribbon really completes the look. I am one who typically layers images on all sorts of things, but this just looked right, a bit different, but I love it just the same! The image from 'Got Snow' is colored in using my new Copic markers, so far I love them. The blending, the overall look is just great. You could be horrible at coloring and these markers make you look great, whats not to love! I used the Coll Grey #1 to outline the snow and the snowman, allowing both to have more definition.

Gina K. Stamps

I promise I haven't gone anywhere. To be honest I have been memorized by a thread on SCS called 'Pay it Forward with your gently used stamps'....I have been sucked into the vortex that is PIF, so much so that I hosted Round #4 (we are now on Round #5....which means we have already surpassed over 20,000 posts!). I have been able to clear my stamping area of stamp sets that are not being used and almost every day new sets arrive for me to play with but I haven't been able to! I have drawings to do for my Dad, Christmas shopping, swaps to complete, and this PIF thread that I can not escape. So today I finally broke free and through the daze I saw my Gina K. stamps waiting to be used, calling my name in fact. I have finally trimmed my Gina K. Stamps and I decided to break out the 'Sandy Claws' and 'Got Snow?' stamps and create a few new creations. Enjoy! It is pretty hard to see, but I love this card! I used some fun sparkly paper and some amazing snowflake brads I received in a SGF package. I love this stamp set so much, it is just so classic looking. I colored in another image from this set, hopefully I can create a card for it later this week.

I recently ordered the new Grey from SU! but like 'Sandy Claws' I had yet to use it, so I decided to put the two together to get something a little different, but super fun. Gina what made you think of this adorable stamp? I just love my little guy....plus he looks much happier since he is no longer in a pot!

Happy Thanksgiving!

For all of you who are celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday, I wish you a very happy and healthy holiday. Enjoy all the time you get to spend with your family and friends today, let them know how much they mean to you.
Now, what is a better way to celebrate togetherness than to use some Bellas! Today I swapped half of the groups from my Bella Card Kit swap, and I just had to make a card using this kit! This kit came from Yoo-Rah (group #5), and I love it! Not only did she send the DP used on this card but the kit also came with the scalloped punched oval and an oval cut Chefabella, perfect for quick and simple coloring and mounting. I used enough supplies to make one card, but there is easily enough included to give this kit another go. Great kit creating Yoo-Rah! What better way to celebrate all the cooking than to use a Chefabella!

Challenge Time

Every week when we do not have a PaperPretties Stampin in Our Jammies night upcoming there is a card contest. I decided I hadn't played along in a while so I pulled up the challenge and got stamping. The rules are that you may only use a stamp that came from the PaperPretties Store in order for the entry to be valid so I used my beloved Cruisabella. This week we had to use glitter, but I couldn't just stop there. I used stickles all over the image of Bella and on the background where I attached Bella Baubles to the DP by stickles....Love it! Oh, and that yummy ribbon came from Jody over at Confessions of a Ribbon Addict....love her shares! If you have yet to stop by, any share she offers is worth it!
