Artful INKables!

Another Saturday has arrived which means that it's time for another Artful INKables creation! I decided that for today I would post another creation using one of the newest Artful INKables stamp sets, Steampunk Sarah! I really am enjoying this stamp set! I decided that for this card I would use the large background stamp that comes with the set, it was just screaming to see ink! So I pulled out my brown ink from Memento, Rich Cocoa and I love how this iamge looked stamped in brown! I added some red and pink to the balloon, which I really think is the main part of this image, then I colored in the various sprockets and such in shades of brown. I also used some wonderful red and pink paper to layer the main image on this adorable decorative paper that I recevied in my most recent kit from Taylored Expressions, its called Linnie Bell from Pebbles, and I just love it! It has such a contrast to it, and I thought it would look wonderful with this image! Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
Stamps: Steampunk Sarah from Artful INKables; Paper: Whisper White, Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy, Linnie Bell collection by Pebbles; Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, E33 Sand, E55 Light Caramel, E57 Light Walnut, R08 Vermillion, RV11 Pink; Accessories: Pop Dots, May Arts Ribbon, Kaiser Rhinestones

Little One!

Good morning all! I thought that since this cards recipient has received her package I can share this card with everyone! I made this card to match a onesie I made for miss Charmine and her new little wonder Isabelle! I had so much fun with these little creations and it was great to finally stamp with this stamp set. I have had Little Lady since it came out and I never had a chance to use it!

Here is a picture of the rest of the package I sent along, I sent her two little cutie outfits I found, some hair bows, the onesie I stamped, and of course some baby embellishments! I don't make baby things very often but I love to create baby things when I can. I hope you liked today's post, I thought it would be nice to share on a Friday! Enjoy your day all!

Back to School Hanna Style!

This month Hanna Stamps is hosting another great monthly challenge, this time to use the primary colors to create a card! I thought this School Sophie was just perfect for just that! I wasn't able to find any paper with just Red, Yellow, and Blue, but this paper is so very close...I do hope you like it! I also created this card for a swap in the forums being hosted by my girl Deej! As with most swaps there needed to be at least two layers and one embellishment, super simple! No other requirements besides that the cards had to feature a Riley or Sophie stamp so I dug out my newest Hanna Stamps and picked this cutie! I bought this adorable stamp before she was released while at the HPC in Ohio, Kristi was sweet enough not only to join us and bring us some goodies to purchase but to also show us the newest stamps before they were released! It was so nice to finally meet Kristi after all this time! I've been chatting with Kristi off and on through various stamping places, and when Deej said that Kristi would be joining us I was thrilled! She was even better in person then I could have imagined, hopefully we will meet up again soon! Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Pretties Scraplings!

Today is Wednesday which means that it is time once again for another Paper Pretties Weekly Design Team Challenge! Today I get to share with you the card I created for Frances' challenge from two weeks ago. Frances challenged the Pretties Girl's to create a 'scrapling', which means we are to create a card no larger then 2.5 inches! How fun is that! I wasn't sure where to start on this one, but I knew something would come to mind. I eventually decided that Flirty Fortunes was the way to go! This poor set has been lonely in my Pretties Binder and we can't have that now can we! Be sure to check out the Pretties Girl's creations:

Pretties Birthday Blog Hop

Can you believe that we have another Paper Pretties Birthday today! I know it's shocking, and as we must do with any Pretties Birthday we are having a Birthday Blog Hop! For today's hop we are celebrating the Officers birthday, or at least that's what we call her around here...a very Happy Birthday to Jacque! We wanted to kick off the celebration this time with a theme, a theme that would be fitting of our wonderful Jacque, so we decided to create a Red, White, and Black card in honor of Jacque's favorite series Twilight! You should have arrived here from Jodi's blog, if not, be sure to hop back over to Frances' blog to kick things off!
We have all sorts of goodies coming to the Party and I believe a few guests, but with all that I decided to bring a Twilight birthday cake! So using our current Stamp of the Month, Make a Wish was just perfect! I used one of my favorite Nestabilities to create the great shape perfect for this image, and I mixed it up a bit, the sentiment before the image! I used not one but two shades of red in this card to try and give her layered dress a little more pop too! Now, on to the rest of the party here is the run down of today's Pretties Hop:

Mojo On The Farm!

This week Mojo Monday celebrates 100 sketches! How exciting is that and in celebration the Mojo Team has been posting a new sketch every day! I have been following the celebration trying to find time to create a card or two with all these great sketches being posted and Saturday afternoon I finally got the chance to play along! I used this totally adorable stamp from The Greeting Farm called Megan from their Wild Sprout collection! When I looked through all the sketches so far this week at the Mojo Monday I thought that this sketch would be prefect for this image! Not only would it suit this adorable stamp, but I thought that Megan would look wonderful in scallops! I love how bright this card came out, in fact I made it for a The Greeting Farm swap I joined in the swapping forum on SCS, Tammy is hosting this one, and I hope all the ladies love it! Think Ink!

Hello ladies, today it's time for my weekly Artful INKables post! For today I am sharing with you the 'card' I created for Joy's Artful INKables challenge! You may remember that earlier this week Artful INKables kicked off their Think INK Tuesday Challenges! The first challenge hosted by Joy was to create something in Red, White, and Black! Since we want to spread the love for these challenges different design team members will be posting on different days, and my weekly post is on Saturdays! Woo hoo! My Saturday posts used to be random, and sometimes non existent, but no longer! Each week I will be posting a Artful INKables creation on every Saturday! For this challenge I decided to use one of the new stamp sets just released from Artful INKables! Have you checked out the new release yet? If you haven't what are you waiting for? These stamp sets have been so much fun! For today I am sharing with you a little 'Hot Stuff' Gum box I made, it my first shot at trying to make a box from scratch but I think it turned out to be a lot of fun! I used Pure Poppy as the box base then I created some background paper using the chili pepper from the South of the Border set, which was released last Saturday at Artful INKables! I am having so much fun with this set and when I saw the Big Red gum while standing in line at the grocery store a gum box had to be made! The little chili peppers took forever to color in but I really like the final look and it really shows how versatile this set can be. Thank you for stopping by, be sure to join the Artful INKables INKgirls and create something Red, White and Black this week, here are the details if you missed them:

I hope you link this one, its pretty simple, but I think sort of cute.
For my second card in this post I used the third sketch that Julee posted. I got this wonderful paper for my birthday from Jodi and I have been happily using it since it arrived, you may notice it from my AI post this weekend! Happy Birthday Danielle!

Welcome to another Paper Pretties Blog Hop! I love these things and today is a Birthday Celebration! That's right! Our very own Danielle celebrates her birthday today! Woo hoo! The party started over at Jodi's blog so if you haven't been there yet, be sure to hop on over so you don't miss anything! Here is the full run down of today's hop, so you can find your way:

For today's Birthday card we also had to incorporate Jackie's Paper Pretties Design Team Challenge from two weeks ago and make that card into a birthday card for our wonderful Danielle! Jackie challenged the Pretties Girl's to create a card using the colors Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede, simple enough! Then I decided since Danielle released her very first stamp set I just had to use that set for her birthday card! I pulled out her stamp set Home Sweet Home, the first in I hope many stamp sets coming our way from Fat Cat Designs! I picked my favorite home form the set, the apartment building. I don't know what it is about this image, but whenever I reach for this set this is the image I want to always use, I have to behave sometimes and pick another one so the other stamps don't get too lonely. I only did a bit of coloring on this image, I really wanted to home to pop off the card, I also did something a bit different with this card, I cut out a rectangle to place the main image on, and within that shape I used the same Nestability to cut a hole, if you look to the left of the main image, there is exposed stripped paper behind the pop up image. Just trying some new things to see what works and what doesn't work. Hope this one worked out!I hope you liked today's card! A very Happy Birthday to Danielle, be sure to make your way all the way through the hop so that you can wish Danielle a wonderful day! Now make your way over to Jessica's blog to see what she brought to the party! Have a great day all!
Stamps: Home Sweet Home from Paper Pretties; Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, SU! Thoroughly Modern DP; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, BG13 Mint Green, BG49 Duck Blue, E57 Light Walnut, G21 Lime Green; Accessories: Pop Dots, Large Scalloped and Regular Oval Nestabilities

Happy Day!

Earlier this month there was a There She Goes release, and as with most releases there was a card challenge. Jessica posted a challenge where you had to make a card that used wings in some way. At first I was completely lost, wings? I mean what did I have that had wings? Then I remembered that I had bought the stamp set Happy Day from There She Goes and it had yet to be inked! So I pulled out my Happy Day set and created a scene using the main images of the set, these adorable birdies singing on a line with a lovely background behind them. I pulled out my copic markers and started coloring the scene, my sky still needs a little work, but I really like how the tree ended up. I decided that Green and Orange would be my focus of this card, not your typical color combination, but I think it works with the papers I picked out and how the image is colored. I also got the chance to use the nail heads I found at Archiver's while in Ohio, I am so glad I picked up a bunch of these things because I am loving them! Well I hope you have a Happy Day! Thank you for stopping by, and be sure to come back tomorrow!

Just One Click

This month's My Favorite Things release is almost here and with each release comes the chance to be selected to win the entire months release, or better known as the 'One Click' challenge! How exciting is that! Each month I always add this on my list of things to do and never get the creations completed, but this month I got a bit of time and this is the first thing I just had to do! The challenge this month was to use gingham, so after sifting through all my paper I found a yellow and purple gingham I really liked and went from there. I love paper piecing and I thought that this image would be perfect for that, these two cute little bunnies just make an adorable pair and I love seeing them in gingham! Hope you enjoyed today's card! Enjoy!

Let's Get INKY!

I decided that since I am now on the Artful INKables Design Team I should start to share some of the cards I have made using their stamps, how does that sound?! Honestly, the last few days I have gotten the chance to start to get to know my fellow Design Team members, and I can already tell that the next 6 months are going to fly by in a whirlwind of fun! While on my Ohio trip the HPC I got the chance to meet up again with Joy Stagg, one of our new Senior Design Team members, and I just had to make an Artful INKables card! I decided to use two of the newest released stamp sets called Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired. Both stamp sets are just so much fun and inspired from the Twilight series from Stephanie Meyer, if you haven’t read the books yet I would recommend them, I found them to be light and enjoyable reading. This image is I think my favorite, but you may know by now that my favorite stamps change constantly, and the sentiment goes perfectly! Well I hope you liked today’s card and don’t you worry plenty more Artful INKables will be coming your way! Have a great day!

Pretties Wednesday Shines!

Can you believe it’s already Wednesday again! But you know what that means, it’s time for another Paper Pretties Design Team Challenge! This week I get to share the card I created for my own challenge! That’s right; two weeks ago I challenged the Pretties Girl's to create a card that shines! Now, I love bling so it could be glitter, shimmerz, gems, or crystals, anything that would make that card shine! For my card I just had to use one of the new stamp sets and I decided that the newest Stamp of the Month, Make a Wish Sophia would be perfect for a little bling! I know, I really do say this every month, but these Stamp of the Month images really do get better as time goes on. This adorable Sophia is blowing out her birthday candles, a must have for any Paper Pretties collection! For my bling I used this super cute Nana's Nursery DP Glitter paper, tiny cystals around the scalloped edges, and in case that wasn't enough bling, I added some Pixie Dust Shimmerz! I think this birthday card turned out to be just too cute! Be sure to check out the Pretties Girl's creations:

Hanna's Beach Body!

A fellow 'Ho' Deej, who I got the immense pleasure of meeting at the HPC recently, hosted a great Beach swap on SCS. When she posted the details I just had to sign up, I mean I had just ordered my newest Hanna Stamps set at the time and I needed an excuse to ink this bad boy up! I wanted to use some bright colors, and I decided that these two images from the set would be perfect together for a bright and fun summery card! I also wanted to use some fun embellishments, so I pulled out some tropical primas and buttons, I mean you can't have a naked flower! Every flower has to have a center and I love using buttons as my center! Now I ran out of the yellow flowers, so I completed the set with blue flowers. I hope you like today's creation, it was so much fun to create using this set. Have a great day!

A Bit of Cooper!

Today is Monday which means that its time for another Pretties post! Over this past week I have made so many cards and each one was so much fun! One of the ladies at work asked me to make a birthday card for one of our coworkers last week, she wanted something with drums that was fun. So I pulled out this adorable Cooper stamp from Paper Pretties and got to work! I used not only the drummer stamp that she wanted me to use, but also the color combination too! The funniest thing is that my coworker who this card is made for looks just like this stamp! I had so many people I work with come up to me and not only say how cute they thought the card was, but how much it reminded them of Andrew, whose birthday it was! It gave me a good chuckle! Hope you like today's card, I had a lot of fun with it! Have a great day all!

So if you’re feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers in the hop and you just might have a reason to jump for joy!
For my card today I just had to use the stamp set Up, Up and Away I really just love this set, I think it may be my favorite Verve stamp set!
