Birthdays and Jammies!

So today was my sister's birthday party for which I had to make a card for. While she was at work I whipped up this card using the best birthday set from Gina K. Stamps. It's called 'Make a Wish' and if you haven't bought it yet what are you waiting for?! Its a great set plus several dollars from each set goes to Make a Wish Foundation......great stamps that help some amazing people!
Then tonight was the monthly 'Stamping in My Jammies' at the Paper Pretties yahoo group. These ladies make stamping a joy and the challenges are always a lot of fun. Tonight I only participated in two of the three challenges and I love the results. The first one we had to use Aqua, White, and Craft in our card. I love her outfit, isn't it the best! I used some of the paper for one of the Paper Pretties boxes from months ago...love it!The second card is based off a great sketch that Christie made for us. I just love this layout, it is one I will have to try again. Hope you likey! Have a great night ladies :)

There was also a 'pre-challenge' challenge....a warm up really. We had to make a Christmas card with one of the PP sets, so I dug out 'Hot Stuff' and I now have another card to add to the Christmas stash. I am up to 31 cards! 40 here I come!

Winner!

I was going through all of my recent scans and I found one I didn't share with you! Above is the recipe 6x6 sheet I made for a Bella recipe swap. I used Barabella to make my sheet work, I think she turned out cute. I love this DP as well! I bought it in all sorts of colors, there is even glitter in it.....love it!

Well! Today is the day to reveal who gets the blog candy! I used http://www.random.org/ and the winner is #6 who happens to be..............Angel Wilde

She wrote:
"Hi Jackie! I like your card and I am sure it looks even better IRL. I am not sure about the card base. What color is it exactly? I doubt it shows up good in the photo. I am assuming you are asking what is my favorite Christmas card? I really like the elves on the green Noel. they are adorable. Thanks for sharing blog candy! you're doing an awesome job pumping out those Christmas cards. I need to be like that!"

I love those elves as well! They are too cute! Angel please send me your snail mail address when you get the chance so I can send your images and a few goodies!

Sorry ladies, no new cards today. I've been busy partying over here! I had a retirement party last night, a birthday party with my sister tonight, and tomorrow we are having my sisters birthday party. All this partying is wearing me out! All my Christmas cards have to be postal by the 6th so soon the Christmas cards will be ending, but I will still be stamping, so make sure to stop by when you get the chance!

It's Coming!

This weekend is Stamping In You Jammies over at the yahoo group for Paper Pretties. We have also been having weekly challenges to get us ready to stamp all night. Last week there was a sketch challenge that I missed out on, but the week before the challenge was to make a fall card using yellow, orange, and brown. So I decided to share my creation from the last challenge. We have to use stamps that are offered in the Paper Pretties boxes so I used my 'Tea Time' set for this card.I love this set, its so versatile and enjoyable! The set is perfect for a fall or winter card! This weeks challenge is to create a card using office supplies. I broke out my 'How Sweet It Is' set for this one! I used pink, red, and white, with small accents of brown to create a file card. I saw the tutorial over on Beate's blog and I had to try it out. She shows you step by step how to make one of these cards and they are just so much fun! Hope you enjoy!

Christmas time...

I hope you enjoyed the break from my Christmas cards, I know you may have been looking for more holiday cards, but how could I resist my new Paper Pretties goodies! Trust me, the best feeling is seeing that white box sitting and waiting for you to open it up and see what fun is in store! If you haven't signed up for one of the wonderful Paper Pretties boxes yet, I highly recommend anything that Christie offers. She has more heart than most people and she creates some excellent cards to enjoy with goodies galore. So run on over to Paper Pretties and sign up today! And tell her Jackie sent you!

Now....Christmas continues! I am happy to report that the card count is now up to 30 cards! I should be able to get at least 10 more done by the postal date. So stay tuned for more cards. Tonight I created cards from a bunch of images I had stamped and began coloring this weekend but I wasn't able to complete a card with any of them. I have so many more images colored and ready to go, but I think I've had enough stamping and creating for tonight. Enjoy!
Isn't this Elf adorable? This set is called 'Santa's Helper' and is an older set from SU! I love this image, there are a few more that I should be able to create some fun cards with soon.

The cute little kids are a lot of fun as well. All bundled up and enjoying their ride, whats not to love? This set is called 'Winter Play' which is also retired, both sets I borrowed from my demo Alex, who is not only my demo but also a close friend.Another PaperTrey Santa from the new 'Believe' set. If you haven't tried out PaperTrey's stamp sets I would recommend this set, its so versatile and fun to use.

Hope you like the new creations! Tomorrow is the last day to enter to win stamped images for each stamp I used for these cards. Just leave a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! I would love to hear from you!

Monthly Paper Pretties Cards!

So, you saw the boxes....now see the creations! The first card is the example that Paper Pretties created for the card of the month. Such a calm layout with wonderful colors that work so well together. This next card is what I created with the contents of the box as well. Different layout and paper sizes and some different colors. I think it works. Now this is the Bella Box card! Isn't Pompomabella amazing! Look at her, just too cute! Plus the papers that Christie selects for these boxes are just spectacular. Love it!
A completely different spin on the card created for the Bella box, same supplies with a different twist. This ribbon is specific for the paper included in the box, how great is that! Again I love what Christie does with these boxes! This weekend is Paper Pretties SiMJ and I can't wait to play with my new stamps! The night is sure to be a lot of fun.

Christmas Interruption!

It's Mail Time! Today I received my September Paper Pretties boxes! This is my first My Favorite Things Petite box and one of my many Premium Bella box. I love the stamps that came this time, plus all the excellent goodies included in each box. I didn't know what to expect from the Petite box, but I love it. There is enough of everything to make the same card 6 times plus all the paper and layer are already cut for you! I hope to make the example tonight, that is if I can pull myself away from the PaperTrey stamps.

The first picture is the MFT package, look at the new set! My Favorite Things is releasing new sets at the beginning on October, this set which is soon to be available is called 'How Sweet It Is' and I love it! Plus I love the saying..."Sisters and Chocolate make life bearable"...all to right if I say so myself. This picture is of my Bella Box which comes complete with my new Pompomabella stamp, matching sentiment, glitter, Swarovski crystals, glitter, eyelets, plenty of paper, envelopes, and Making Memories eyelet setting mats. The contents change month to month depending on the card design, but I think these boxes are worth it. I can't wait to start using these goodies! I will post the examples and my own variation either tonight or tomorrow some time. Have a great day ladies!

Oh...blog candy is still open, just comment on my Santa card to be entered.

Branches and Believe

I am loving these PaperTrey sets! I broke out my 'Take a Bough' set and boy did I have fun with these stamps. I love the look of the ornaments and the branch. This set is super simple to use as well! The branches and leaves line up perfectly and the different possibilities with the included stamps are endless! Not only was this card super simple, but the results are great. Honestly this card took me more time to think up then complete.I never use the color black on my cards but I thought it was worth a shot. I think it works here, it seems to make the Santa pop.Simple ornaments, but it looks classy for the most part. I do need to work on aligning my stamping though it seems, a few of the ornaments seem to be tilting to the right.

This card is only 4.5 x 4.5 inches, not a typical size, but it would make a cute little gift card. Enjoy ladies!

More PaperTrey!

I have colored in so many different variations of both the Santa and the Christmas tree from the 'Believe' set that PaperTrey released on the 15th that I don't know what to do with them all! You can see the first Santa card I completed, so far you seem to be liking it, although I am still unsure. Please see the post below this for the card I am referring to and my Blog Candy offer! Both of these cards use Bazzill CS which I rarely use, but like anyway. I thought these card base colors went better with these images than the SU! papers I have on hand. In fact, the first one will be my Boyfriend's families Christmas card, do you think its cute? I do! Although I don't know if I have enough ribbon to make all the cards they want, I may be placing an order for some ribbon soon.
I hope to be showing you more Christmas cards with both the 'Believe' set and the 'Take a Bough'. These sets are just great! I can't wait to see what is released next! Enjoy ladies!I was asked in the responses to the Santa card which color the card base is and the answer is the SU! So Saffron is the card base and the color that I used for Santa. I typically don't use that colors, but I thought it would work for this card. It is very hard to see under all that copper. If you have any more questions please ask away!

Guess What!?

My PaperTrey sets arrived! As as they got here I had to pull them out and get ready to stamp away! I love the new sets, I got three of the four new releases and I so far am loving them. I've colored in all sorts of images from the Believe set that I love, in fact I made one card, but I think I went over the top with it. I would like to hear your opinion on this card. So....its Blog Candy time!
I think I may have gone overboard with the copper Brilliance Ink, what do you think? To be eligible for my Blog Candy please answer the following questions:

1. What is your opinion on my first PaperTrey card? Does it work?

2. Out of all now 21 cards I have created, which one is your favorite?

Now....what are you playing for? Images! The winner will get two images of each of the stamps I have been using for these Christmas cards. That means 2 'Lisabella', 2 of each PaperTrey 'Believe' set, 2 of My Favorite Things 'Home for the Holidays', and 2 of each of the 'Christmas Critters'. I will draw the winner on Friday night, so make sure to enter, I may even throw in some ribbon to go with all these Christmas images.

Are you sick of Christmas yet?

I am sorry if these cards are boring you, I just want to share some of my creations with you. Please let me know if these are getting to be too many Christmas cards! I read the comments posted and so far we like the fireplace one and the green elves. I decided to use some more of the green paper I used on the second green elves from yesterday day and more cards with the My Favorite Things 'Home for the Holidays' set.I went with a different color for these two. Using Old Olive, Certainly Celery, and Ruby Red papers. I think these turned out nice, they are more mellow then the bright red you get with Real Red. I love this DP as well! Slab V was defiantly a great buy. I have only cut into three sheets and I have made so many already! My last card for now....I have a stamp club meeting tonight so I may be sharing some non-holiday creations with you shortly to break through the Christmas cards clutter. I am already up and over the 15 I wanted to make. Already created 20 cards and I am not done yet! Enjoy!

Even More!

At this rate I should be able to do at least 20 by this weekend. I am now on card #15 and I am loving these cards. I tried the MFT's 'Home for the Hoilays' set again and I love the results this time. It took more time, but it was way worth it! Of course I can never seem to stamp the fireplace straight for some reason, but I love it anyway, quirks and all! I plan on trying out the Santa in the fireplace tomorrow most likely. This card is colored in with Prisma Colored Pencils...I love how the tree came out!
I also did some digging through my SU! stamp sets to find my 'Merry Elves' set that I bought through my Demo when the set retired. I have made holiday cards with this set since I bought it and I love all the possibilities. Here are two versions in blue, green and red....love them all! Enjoy ladies!
So, do you have a favorite one so far? If so I would LOVE to hear about it. I plan on duplicating some of these cards to bulk up the amount. I think I will pick 5 of my favorite cards to duplicate a few times each. I may even offer some blog candy for some input....Tune in tomorrow to see what I pick as my candy!

Christmas Continues...

More Christmas cards are done! I don't have a favorite one yet, but I'm working on it. To be honest I do not like the My Favorite Things card I made...so I am digging out that set now to try it again with different paper, colors, and layouts I think. Enjoy what I made so far, more to come!

I used more of the Penny Black Christmas Critters stamps...these are just so cute! The Mouse and the Hedgehog are both included in the set, you have to get it!

My first card using the My Favorite Things stamp set 'Home for the Holidays' I love the fireplace image, but not the overall card. I think it still needs some work.

I used Lisabella to make a holiday card, I think she works. She's hip and helping Santa check his list!

More Cards and News!

So I posted a few of the cards I created this weekend and I have some news on those cards. It turns out that I won one of the challenges! My Globatrotabella card won for being a Magic card. Not only do I get some Bella goodies for free but Em will be posting the winning cards on her blog! Yay!

So, now here are the other challenges I created on Saturday. I think the the first VSBN was a huge success. It gave me some time to use my Bellas for me and not for images I was sending off for someone else to use. Enjoy!
The challenge was to make a box to hold your images in, so I went for the Halloween thing.
The matching notebook to the box..I am thinking about sending these things off with some candies for one of my SGFs!
To use glitter or crystal effects. I dug through all my stamping things to find me crystal effects. I use it on the bubbles in the bubble bath, plus I found my SU set to add the sentiment. I thought it went perfectly with this card.
A tent topper....this type of card is always cute. I just had to use the great sentiment that I have...'need a hug'. I know this one will come in handy. The is the last card I made for these challenges, we were to use a shower sponge for the background. I colored the image and made the card, but I don't like the two together. Oh well, I tried

As promised...

I have been busy stamping away over at the Bellaholics first VSBN! There were 8 challenges, 3 on Friday night and 5 during the day today, that were hosted by some wonderful ladies. There seemed to be only a few people stamping this time. I do hope that next time more Bellas join us. I had a blast! Challenges included using different products, sketches, techniques, card styles, and all sorts of great ideas. Thank you to all the hostess....you ladies ROCK! These are the cards I made on Friday night....enjoy!

Challenge #1: Fun Flock! Use fun flock on your card...shes wearing a fuzzy jump suit!

Challenge #2: Magic Card! When closed this image is just an outline....when open there is color! OHHH! AHHHH!
Challenge #3 a sketch challenge....what do ya think?

I can't believe that I have already posted here 100 times! The time flys when your having fun it seems! As promised I have more holiday cards to share, also using the same colors and stamps that I was using for the last post I made. I had hoped to make at least 15 cards, but at the rate I am going I many be looking at 20+ and I am thrilled!

I used some more of my new acrylic Penny Black stamps. These stamps are all from their 'Christmas Critters' set which features all sorts of super cute animals in holiday get-up. I think the next card I am going to make will be using the Kitty with a letter to a special holiday figure. Enjoy the cards...Bella cards to come, tonight is the beginning of the Bellaholics Stamping Weekend so come back to see some Bellas!

So what do you think of my Holiday cards so far? Are they too cutesy? I plan on making the next group of cards from the My Favorite Things stamp set Home for the Holidays. It features a super cute fireplace and Christmas Tree. I can't wait to rip open that packaging!
