I had a lot of fun with this card, the colors were bright and made me smile, but I had a hard time finishing off the card after I picked the colors, image, and papers. I wanted to use flowers, but none of the ones I had looked right so I ended up going with just a simple ribbon tied in a bow. I hope you get the chance to play along with us in this challenge, it should be a lot of fun! Have a great day!

I had a lot of fun with this card, I used this adorable JJ image from Bugaboo Stamps from the JJ Hobbies line. I love the attitude this image has, the way she's standing and holding herself, she always makes me smile. I pulled out my Spellbinders Labels 13 because I wanted to add a bit of drama to the image, and I think it works well. Staying with the fall colors theme I used orange shades and some yellows to color in the image and then used those papers as well as some of the green to really make it all come together to be fall. I decided to finish off the card with some fun felt flowers that I cut out and used matching buttons to create the flower centers. I did have a lot of fun with this, getting into using colors that I haven't used in a while was nice.

I do hope you like my creation, enjoy the rest of the Design Teams work and be sure to play along! Be sure to go and check out all the fun at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog! Have a fabulous weekend too!

This card also qualifies for the Stamp Something Challenge of Spots and Stripes!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Today is a Paper Pretties Birthday Hop, that's right our fabulous Jessica is celebrating her birthday today and in true Pretties spirit we are hopping along to party! We are kicking things off at Frances' blog, so if you haven't started there head on over, but if you are joining me from Cindy's blog then you found the right place!

For my birthday creation today I decided to ink up Always In My Heart Sophia! Isn't she just too cute, I swear all Sophia's are fabulous! I wanted a soft and sweet card so I used some pastel colors for my color pallet, I think this really worked well together. I decided to use my Olivia Basic Grey 6 x 6 paper pad to continue the color pallet and I think it really works with this fun image, makes the whole card seems even more sweet. I hope you have a great birthday Jessica, enjoy your day!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the Hop, you know I am loving getting the chance to celebrate another wonderful Pretties Birthday! Now hop on over to Jana's blog, she has more great celebration goodies! Inky Fun Easel!

In my blog browsing I came to find that Inky Impressions Challenges have been reinstated! I was so excited, all summer Inky Impressions has been on break, but back to school has now also become 'back to Inky'! The first challenge back from their break was to create an easel card, but not only is the card for the challenge, it's also for a spot to be a Guest Designer for a month. I had a blast on the Design Team earlier this year and just had to try my hand at this challenge too!

So after pulling out my Inky Impressions stamps and picking an image, I got to work. I decided to ink up Flower Lili, she always makes me smile and I also decided to play along with two challenges that were on my 'to do list' this week.
While I go through my blogs I save sketches, color combinations, and challenges that catch my eye and this post also serves as a creation for the current Mojo Monday Challenge and the current Color Throwdown Challenge! This weeks Mojo Monday Challenge uses a tag element and lots of different areas for color or pattern paper, perfect for all the colors that are part of the current Color Throwdown Challenge! I really love how this all turned out, the colors really seemed to work well with this image, or maybe it was my mood, either way I am very pleased with what I came up with, I hope you enjoy it too!
Stamps: Flower Lili from Inky Impressions; Paper: Whisper White; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Ink, E00 Skin White, E31 Brick Beige, E35 Chamois, BG05 Holiday Blue, RV13 Tender Pink, YG23 New Leaf, Y13 Lemon Yellow, Y21 Buttercup Yellow, Soft Sky; Accessories: Regular Circle Nestabilities, Sponge

Oldie But Goodie at Bugaboo Stamps!

Today is Thursday, which means that today is Oldie But Goodie day at Bugaboo Stamps! Now Oldie But Goodie Day means that team members are sharing creations they made using stamps that are not new, but those good ol' stamps that are a part of the Bugaboo collection!

For my card today I decided to use this cutie Skelekinz Balloon! I made this card not only for today's Oldie But Goodie but also for Joy's card swap! I love these Skelekinz images and I decided to make an easel card, which I haven't done in a few weeks, in fact I am going to make another one to post today as well I think! I love these images in red, white and black, I guess because the contrast really makes the image pop off the card more then other colors.

I had so much fun with this, I hope you enjoy my card and be sure to hop on over to the Bugaboo Blog to check out the rest of the Design Teams creations! I do hope you like my Oldie But Goodies today, I am still having so much fun with these images! Have a great day all!
Stamps: Skelekinz Balloon from Bugaboo Stamps; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pure Poppy, Skull DP; Ink: R29 Lipstick Red, N1 Neutral Gray No. 1, N3 Neutral Gray No. 3, E37 Sepica; Accessories: Pop Dots, Oval Nestabilities, Satin Ribbon, Felt, Red Brad

Prettie Brads or Eyelets!

Today is Wednesday, so you know what that means, it's time for another Paper Pretties Challenge! So this week our challenge is to create a card and use brads or eyelets! I decided to ink up one of my new stamp sets from Paper Pretties, Give a Hoot!

Not only did I use this weeks Paper Pretties Challenge, but I also wanted to use this weeks Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge! I love using sketches and this one was so much fun and perfect to use with this fun stamp set! I have this paper pad from Basic Grey called Marrakech that I have never used and for some reason this patterned paper grabbed my eye when it was time to make my card, which I guess explains the color combination, because this is not my typical color palette.

Just a few reminders about Paper Pretties! We are now State side, which means faster shipping times, lower shipping costs, and fabulous customer service! Now head on over to the Paper Pretties Blog to see all of the creations for today's challenge!

We'd love for you to play along, in fact one random challenge participant this week will win a stamp! You do not need to use Paper Pretties stamps in order to play along, but if you do, you will get a bonus entry into the drawing! Please be sure to mention our challenge and link back to the Paper Pretties Blog in your project posting. When uploading to SCS or PCP please use keyword PWC118. I can't wait to see what you create! Have a wonderful day!

Crafty Ho's - Day of Peace

So today is Sunday which means that it's time for another Crafty Ho's Challenge! That's right, a great group of friends of mine, the 'Ho's', created a challenge blog called Crafty Ho's Challenge Blog! Each week on Sunday we share with everyone more creations using the same challenge as inspiration!

So for our challenge this week we challenged everyone to create a card based on the fact that September 21st will be the Day of Peace! I took that to mean a relaxing day, a day of being peaceful, so I decided to use this fun Fancy Sunbonnet Flowers image from Bugaboo Stamps. I don't know about you but when I am in my garden I am so relaxed and peaceful. Everything just seems quiet and lovely, so I thought that this image would be perfect for today's challenge!

Be sure to check out the rest of our great group of Hos, I know their creations will be fabulous!

You are going to love these ladies and all of their creations and I can't wait to see what you create along with us! Hope to see you back here next Sunday for our next challenge! Have a wonderful day all!

For some more fun I also entered this card to this weeks My Time to Craft Challenge which is 'In the Garden'!

Happy Birthday Pam!

Today is a Paper Pretties Birthday Hop, that's right our fabulous Pam is celebrating her birthday today and in true Pretties spirit we are hopping along to party! We are kicking things off at Frances' blog, so if you haven't started there head on over, but if you are joining me from Cindy's blog then you found the right place!

For my birthday creation today I decided to ink up Bubble Time Sophia! I love how sweet Sophia always looks in these stamps, and this one looks so darn relaxed, prefect for a birthday card! I also used the sentiment that comes with this stamp that reads 'It's your day-spoil yourself silly!', even more perfect for a birthday card!
I also decided to use this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for this card and I pulled out my DCWV Garden Party DP Stack and got to work. I thought that the pink and green look would go nicely with this sketch, and make this image pop! I didn't use the scallops in the sketch, but otherwise I followed along...don't you just love a good sketch!

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate Pam's birthday! I hope you enjoy the rest of the Hop, you know I am loving getting the chance to celebrate another wonderful Pretties Birthday! Now hop on over to Jana's blog, she has more great celebration goodies! Also, be sure to hop all the way through and wish Pam a fabulous birthday! Have a great day all!

Treat Goodie Bag Tutorial with Bugaboo!

Today it's my turn to share a tutorial with you for Bugaboo Stamps, you can see my final product on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog! So are we ready to see what we are learning to make today? Okay, here it is, we are making what I call a 'Treat Goodie Bag'!

Materials:
1 - 12" x 12" sheet of DP
Bone Folder
Cutter or Scor-Pal
Double Sided Tape
Scissors
Ribbon
hole punch or crop-a-dile
First decide what paper to use, I pulled out some great Halloween paper to go with this super cute Hoppy Halloween image!
Scor along the top of the paper at 1", 5", 7", 11", then turn the paper to the right and scor along the 1", 4", 5", 6", 9", 10" and 11". At the 5" mark cut over 2" and down 2" and remove that square. Then cut over to the 8" mark and then at the 7" mark and cut down 2" from there and again across along the same line to the 12" mark. I did this on 12" x 12" paper so that we could create two Treat Goodie Bags out of one paper, more bang for the buck! Fold and score over those lines so that the lines are more defined and easy to create with. Now use the top piece to make one, cut the first 1" x 1" square, leave the 3" piece where it is and cut away another 2"s, leave the 3"s following that cut and continue to the rest of the 12" x 12" paper. Also make tabs along the bottom two flaps so that you can attach the entire paper together for the goodie bag! Place stips on the tabs on the bottom and along the 1" side to the left.Begin attaching the sides with sticky strip so that the edges can attach into a bag. Once your goodie bag is attached you have to decorate! I decided to add some ribbon to mine, it's also a great way to hold the whole thing together. I used my crop-a-dile to thread the ribbon along the top and tie a bow. I love this ribbon by the way, it's prefect for this patterned paper too! I then added some pop dots to my main image so that it would pop off the goodie bag, just a little added dimension. That's the last step, attaching the image! Of course you should fill it with candy before you tie the bow, but those are little details and I have no candy on hand...that's right all, I am on a diet for the time being. Here is my final product!Hope you enjoyed my tutorial, these things are a lot of fun to make. Not only did I create this fun Goodie Bag as part of my tutorial, but I also played along with the current Christmas Stampin' All Year Round Challenge, which was to create a card that is a non-Christmas card, Halloween totally counts! My creation today also follows the JUGS Challenge, or Just Us Girls, the challenge was to create something with a template, so I made my own! or Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: Hoppy Occassions Halloween from Bugaboo Stamps; Paper: Whisper White, Orange, DCWV Halloween DP; Ink: C1 Cool Grey No. 1, C3 Cool Grey No. 3, C5 Cool Grey No. 5, E50 Egg Shell, E55 Light Caramel, G12 Sea Green, YR16 Apricot; Accessories: Pop Dots, Crop-a-dile, Sticky Strip, May Arts Ribbon, Scor-Pal

I started going through my DP and found this Paper Salon DP that I got a few years ago, and I still have a few sheets! I love sketch challenges and color challenges together, so I also used the colors from the current Color Chef Challenge as well to add a bit more fun! For my card today I pulled out this adorable Bugaboo Brat and got to work! I have just recently gotten these glitter dots, so when I was working with my primary colors I knew that I had to pair up this image with my new Ruby Slippers Glitter Dots that I picked up at the Paper Pretties Boutique! I went for a simple look, but I wanted to make this a kid card especially with all of the primary colors and I think I succeeded. I do hope you like my creation, enjoy the rest of the Design Teams work and be sure to play along!

Welcome to the next stop on the Paper Pretties Grand Re-Opening and New Release Blog Hop!! If you’re arriving from Mercy Kerin's blog, you’re in the right place! If you are just joining us on our HUGE PARTY TRAIN, you can head back to the Paper Pretties Blog to start from the beginning. Check out all the information in the blog post too, there are PRIZES galore and different GIFTS WITH PURCHASE, you don’t want to miss out!

You’ve likely heard by now, but Paper Pretties is releasing TWELVE brand new sets today, along with the big Prettie Boutique Re-Opening. All of the new sets will be available for purchase in the Prettie Boutique beginning no later than 7 AM CST today. I am showcasing the set Dog-Gone Birthday.

For my card today I used the main image, this adorable doggie, from the Dog-Gone Birthday set. This set is one of 7 stamp sets being released this month from our newest Illustrator to the Paper Pretties team, the fabulous Victoria Case! I was thrilled when I heard that she would be joining the team, and this set just proves how wonderful she is! The best thing about these new stamp sets is that each set comes with so much! Dog-Gone Birthday doesn't only include this main image, but also comes with two different sized dog bones, a matching paw print and three sentiments! You really get a lot for what you pay for, and these clear stamps are high quality, and they have the smell to prove it! I think you know what I am talking about, that unique aroma that comes off of these stamp sets tell you all you need to know! In fact I didn't have to even season these stamps when they arrived, I just put my stamps right on my block and pulled out my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad the image was so crisp and so clean immediately! Now on to the details on my card! I wanted to work with this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge if I got the chance, and decided that today's card would be the perfect chance to do just that! I colored in my main image with my Copic markers and pulled out my Cosmo Cricket Designer Paper Pad called Garden Variety Mini Deck that I picked up from the Paper Pretties Store to match! I also used this lovely ribbon that Michele gave me earlier this week, it was part of my early birthday present and it is lovely! I pulled out my eyelet border punch and some red metallic dots to match and tie the whole look together!

It’s our party, but the PRESENTS are for you!! Leave a comment right here on this post to enter to win this fabulous stamp set!! I will take comments until Sunday, August 15th at 6 PM CST, and then one Prettie Lucky stamper will be chosen at random to receive this set!! Can’t get a better deal than that! And you can shop now without fear, if you happen to win a set you already purchased (you know you can’t resist these amazing new images!), you may substitute a different set of equal or lesser value in its place.

If we’re going to have a party, we’re going to make it a REALLY GOOD PARTY. Here are the purchase specials for all purchases from the Prettie Boutique:

• Every order placed during release weekend (now through Sunday, August 15th) will receive a free Paper Pretties “Hand Stamped” stamp!

Paper Pretties Challenge!

Today is Wednesday, so you know what that means, it's time for another Paper Pretties Challenge! This week we are doing things a bit differently, instead of having a blog hop and challenge we are just having the challenge and saving the hop fun special occasions!

So this week our challenge is to use ribbon on your card! Now I don't know about you but I simply love ribbon it doesn't matter what color, shape, style, texture it's all wonderful to me! I decided that for my ribbon today to use this really fun two toned grosgrain ribbon from May Arts. I paired it with this great paper from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety 6x6 Mini Deck which I got from the Paper Pretties Store, I am loving this paper pack, there is such a mix of cuteness!

Have you noticed the image I used today? This uber-cute owl stamp is one of our 12 new releases coming your way tomorrow, Thursday the 12th of August! We will be having an amazing Blog Hop in celebration of our release plus the stamp sets will be going live to the store at 7am EST!

Okay, sorry I digressed...back to my current card! I inked up this soon to be released owl stamp set called 'Give a Hoot'! This stamp set is one of 7 stamp sets that are being released from our new illustrator Victoria Case! I have simply loved all of her designs since I first laid my eyes on her work and I am beyond thrilled to get the chance to work with these stamps as a Design Team Member! I used my Labels Eleven Nestabilities Dies and decided to work with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge this week for some added fun to this card! I hope you liked my card and preview of another stamp set to be released tomorrow! Here are a few things to remember about our Grand Re-Opening, these words are straight from Heather's post!

1. We have 12 new sets being released on Thursday! 5 of them are from our INCREDIBLE veteran illustrator Joni Stringfield and 7 of them are from a brand new Paper Pretties illustrator! I am thrilled to tell you that Victoria Case has joined the Paper Pretties team as our newest illustrator! Victoria is amazingly talented and sweet as can be. You are going to LOVE her images!

2. All NEW Paper Pretties sets from here on out are going to be Clear Photopolymer sets. I want you to know that I did a lot of research and made sure I found the highest quality clear stamp manufacturer possible. I am VERY picky about clear stamps and I am EXTREMELY happy with the quality of our new stamps. The reason for the switch is to make our Paper Pretties sets more affordable for everyone! The new sets will have more sentiments and accessory stamps than the old sets and they will considerably less expensive for you! It also allows me to release more images every month, so it is a win-win situation for everyone!

3. We will be having a blog hop on Thursday, showcasing all of the new releases.

4. The new stamps will be available in the Paper Pretties store beginning at 6am CST on Thursday Aug. 12th. We will also be having several sales specials and prizes!

Last but not least, remember Paper Pretties is now State side, which means faster shipping times, lower shipping costs, and fabulous customer service! I sure hope you join us in the Blog Hop tomorrow, now head on over to the Paper Pretties Blog to see all of the creations for today's challenge and more new stamp set previews!

Think INK Artful INKables!

It's Saturday so you know what that means, it's time for another Artful INKables post! For my creation today I am sharing with you my card for the current Think INK Challenge! Our current Think INK Challenge is being issued by Tanya Johnson and the challenge is to make a non-standard card AND you must use the color purple! I have only made a few easel cards and decided that I would give another one a short, I used to be so intimidated by them because it looked all complicated, but they really are super simple!

For my card today I decided to ink up the set Spot On summer! I picked the flower image and used these beautiful Mulberry Flowers I ordered a while ago and I paired them with this stunning lace trim that fellow AI DT member and friend Cheryl Walker sent to me earlier this month. Cheryl always uses these amazing lace trims and her floral work always looks superb so I wanted to give it a try for my self today! I really don't use that much purple when I create, but since we were asked to use purple in some way I went all for it and accented the shade with some green as well to match the floral stems! Then I thought the corners needed something so I pulled out these great self adhesive jewels I received as part of an early birthday present from my Mama Ho (lol), Rae Anne Springer! Thank you both so much ladies! See how spoiled I am sometimes!

There is still plenty of time to join in on the Think INK Challenge, so be sure to hop on over to the Artful INKables Blog and join in on all the fun! Well I do hope you enjoyed my card for today, I had a lot of fun with this one! Have a fabulous day all!

Summer Swimming!

For today I wanted to share with you a card I created this week using my fun Bugaboo Stamps! Since it has been so hot I just had to color in this adorable Alligator, he is all set to go swimming in this get-up! You know that I love these little guys, they are so fun! If you haven't seen the change on my side bar yet, my Guest Designer spot on the Bugaboo Stamps Team has come to an end, but I was lucky enough to be asked to stay on the team for the new term! Isn't that exciting, I am simply thrilled about staying on with these fabulous Bugaboo Stamps Design Team! Since I was creating a fun and bright summer card using a great summer image I decided to play along with this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!
This week the colors are Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive which are wonderful for the summer mood I am in! I also decided that I wanted to use these two very different ribbons from my mass-o-ribbon, I just didn't think that one ribbon would be enough for this card. I do hope you enjoy my summer fun card, I had a lot of fun with this one! Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

We are all sharing with you our cards following the current challenge which is to create a card using this fabulous sketch, then you will have until August 10th to try this one out for yourself! For my project today I decided to ink up Simply Special (it's on sale for $4.00). This sketch was fun, all the different layers took a bit, but I really do like the end result, and the background paper is perfect! I needed to add a bit of something to this, so this two toned ribbon I have from May Arts was amazing! So after you get your inspiration for the week, you may just want to hop over to the Paper Pretties Store and see where is takes you! I can't wait to see what the other ladies decided to create, check out the other Pretties Girl's creations, in fact we have three NEW DT members, be sure to send Jessica George, Pam Vernell, and Wendy Hoff a huge welcome!

We have changed our challenges up a bit but we still invite you to play along with all the fun! All you have to do is make a project following this weeks challenge, which is to create a card based on the above sketch, and link it to the Paper Pretties Blog post, we have a inlinkz! I hope you will play along, in fact do not need to use Paper Pretties stamps either (although we would love to see them!), so come and play along!

This week one participant will receive a stamp, in fact we are giving away Bugs and Fishes!
