Simply Betty Stamps Challenge!

Good evening! I am sharing today a duo of cards I made today as part of Zombie Day at the Simply Betty Stamps FB Group! Simply Betty Stamps once in a while SPOILS the SBS FB Group with Freebies and challenges! Now, this was not part of their monthly challenge or the 100 Days of Halloween that is currently going on...these challenges were different. Basically you signed up to receive a freebie and you MUST color in the image and MUST use the image within a specific time period. Today's challenge was only a few hours window, and once you complete one correctly you can sign up for the next freebie a few hours later! Woo hoo! So much fun!
So for the first challenge I colored in Worms For Brains, a fitting name I think. Once colored and uploaded to the SBS FB Group I was eligible for the third freebie (I missed the first one since I didn't know it was going on). I had a blast working with both of these Freebie images! The second freebie is called Headless Christian, again a very befitting name.
These images will not be released, they are simply a fun freebie in celebration of the season beginning on the Walking Dead tonight. I hope these images make you check out Simply Betty Stamps their fabulous Simply Betty Stamps FB Group

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with this challenge and I love how this creation came out! I hope you have a great day!

Happy Halloween and a SBS Challenge!

Good evening and Happy Halloween!!! I wanted to share with you a card I made using the fabulous freebie image for the Simply Betty Stamps FB Group! Simply Betty Stamps once in a while SPOILS the SBS FB Group with a Freebie! There used to be full challenges with the free image, but this time we did a very quick creation that was for this weekend only and you just needed to be sure to post your completed projects by this evening October 31st.

This time the wonderful image we got to play with is Demonic Babe, and I had a blast working with her! Simply Betty Stamps just finished celebrating their 13 Days of Halloween, but the FB Group has all sorts of challenges and things going on all weekend too! The challenge for this creation was to make a card featuring either a 'Good' or 'Bad' Demon. I decided to go with the 'Bad' Demon and made a darker card and used mostly Halloween color to celebrate Halloween. I love how she turned out, all these shades of orange worked out well together!

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with this challenge and I love how this creation came out! I hope you have a great day!

Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Group Freebie!

Good afternoon! I wanted to share with you a card I made using the fabulous freebie image for the Simply Betty Stamps FB Group! Simply Betty Stamps once in a while SPOILS the SBS FB Group with a Freebie! There used to be full challenges with the free image, but this time we did a very quick creation that was for this weekend only and you just needed to be sure to post your completed projects by 8pm PST today, Sunday October the 19th.

This time the wonderful image we got to play with is Bat Queen Betty, and I had a blast working with her! Right now Simply Betty Stamps is also celebrating their 13 Days of Halloween! The current challenge is Traditional Halloween Colors - Orange, Purple, Lime Green and Black Anything Goes. When I saw this challenge posted I jotted it down, in fact this is the first 13 Days of Halloween Challenges I could play along with so far this month, but I have been keeping track of them all. Life and work have been to crazy to join in on the fun until this afternoon so I am so excited that I saw that these two challenges would work so well together! I used this fun Halloween Parade Designer Series Paper from Doodlebug Designs and paired it with some fun Halloween colored cardstock. I also added a touch of bling, which always helps! I just thought that her hair would look regal if I colored it in Gray and then the rest sort of fell into place.

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with this challenge and I love how this creation came out! I hope you have a great day!
Stamps: Bat Queen Betty from Simply Betty Stamps; Paper: Whisper White, Chertruse, Tangelo Twist, Doodlebug Designs Halloween Parade DP; Ink: E00 Skin White, N2 Neutral Gray No. 2, N3 Neutral Gray No. 3, RV29 Crimson, Y06 Yellow, YR16 Apricot, G14 Apple Green, V17 Amethyst; Accessories: Self Adhesive Rhinestones

Good morning! Today I am sharing with all of you the fabulous goodies I received after taking part in the Simply Betty Stamps FB Fan Group Summerween Swap! You should have arrived her from Lucy Gregg's Blog!

We were asked to create a card or project for our swap sister and send them a package of goodies with the theme 'Summerween' or Halloween in the summer! I had the pleasure of getting Kelly Halverson as my swap partner. I had a blast putting a box together for Kelly and I hope she enjoyed everything! For my box I was amazed at all my fabulous goodies! Kelly sent all sorts of amazing papers both in 12x12 sheets and 6x6 pads plus she sent my favorite chocolates, lacey edging, die cuts, buttons, and sticker sheets! I was certainly spoiled to say the least! I love everyone Kelly!
Plus, she made this stunning card using one of the Simply Betty Sand Witch! I just had to show you how awesome this is! I love how she created this scene and I just love how she used sand on the card as well for the foreground. This really turned out fabulously! Thank you so much for an amazing package! You're the best!

Simply Betty January FB Challenge!

I wanted to share with you a card I made using the fabulous freebie image for the Simply Betty Stamps FB Group Challenge for December! Each month Betty at Simply Betty Stamps allows members of the FB Group to enter a contest using a specific image. This month they changed it up and offered three amazing images at a discounted rate for a limited time to play along and then they all went to regular price. Of course I just had to join in and the price was really good for such fun images! How could you go wrong with playing along!

I actually created a sample for each image and followed their individual challenge too! First up on my sharing today is the card I made using Cupid Betty! The challenge for this sexy image: "Black / White and a touch of Red or pink your choice on your image, paper wise anything goes." I stuck to the black and white for my paper choices and added a bit of red in the bling I used to accent my stunning Cupid.
Next up is Cupid Corinne, I love her whole outfit, it's really flirty and fun, but a bit sporty too. The challenge for this image was "use: Red/ Pink/ White/ Lots of Hearts"
Last, but not least is Cupid Elisabete! I love the darling cloud and design of this image, she is just so sweet! The challenge to play along with was "use: Ribbon, red/pink flowers"

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with these challenges this month! I hope you have a great day!

Simply Betty Stamps December FB Challenge!

I wanted to share with you a card I made using the fabulous freebie image for the Simply Betty Stamps FB Group Challenge for December! Each month Betty at Simply Betty Stamps allows members of the FB Group to enter a contest using a freebie image. How could you go wrong with playing along!

This month we had a choice between three fabulous images to work with and I decided to use Betty Boom! The challenge for my selected image was to glitter and the color combination of Black, White, and Red! I also used some touches of pink on Betty's outfit and the present in the photo, I figured that pink was a byproduct of white and red. I used these lovely mulberry paper roses and this great swirl ribbon to add accents to this wonderful card. Then to finish it off and be sure I completed the challenge I added Smooch Glitz in Starlight to her dress, eye shadow, ribbon and the flower in her hair plus I added some to all of the mulberry paper roses.

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with this challenge. I hope you have a great day!
Stamps: Betty Boom from Simply Betty; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Bo Bunny Crush Collection DP, Echo Park Your Truly DP; Ink: E00 Skin White, N4 Neutral Gray No. 4, RV11 Pink, YG07 Acid Green, Y13 Lemon Yellow, N2 Neutral Gray No. 2, R37 Carmine; Accessories: Swirl Organza Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mulberry Flowers, Smooch Glitz Starlight

Simply Betty Stamps and The Stamping Chef Team Up Challenges!

I don't know if you saw, but I have been following both Simply Betty Stamps and The Stamping Chef and enjoying all their challenges and fun, especially on their FB Groups! Back on Monday November 25th these fabulous companies teamed up for a great challenge! They offered fans and company followers one digi from each store at $1 and then issued an Anything Goes Challenge. If you create something using these images you could win a $10 GC to their stores! How awesome is that?! Well, I just had to play along.

My cards took me a bit longer than I had planned, but I really love how they came out! First up I am sharing the card I created with Simply Betty Stamps image , Persephone! I decked this stunning image out in greens and gave her sweeping blonde hair then found some wonderful designer paper from SU! to finish off her look.
My second card turned out so much better that I expected! I used this fabulous image from The Stamping Chef, Nile Goddess! I wasn't sure what colors tones to use for her clothes, but bit by bit I started to like where I was going. I paired her with some fabulous Echo Park paper called Reflections and I just love the colors and how it all came together.

Thank you so much for joining me today and checking out my projects for these challenges. I had a blast and I hope you enjoyed what you saw! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Thanksgiving & Simply Betty Stamps November FB Challenge!

Today is Thanksgiving Day in the States and I couldn't think of a better way to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I wanted to share with you a card I made using the fabulous freebie image for the Simply Betty Stamps FB Group Challenge for November! Each month Betty at Simply Betty Stamps allows members of the FB Group to enter a contest using a freebie image. How could you go wrong with playing along!

This month we had a choice between two fabulous images to work with and I decided to use Little Indian Betty! The challenge for my selected image was to use feathers on my card in some way. I searched for some paper in my stash that had feather and found none so I settled on this designer paper with leaves in the background and I dug out my old beads and bead loom where I keep my stash of feathers. I picked two feathers that I thought complimented the rest of my card. I also tried to create a darker skin tone, which didn't come out as I had planned, but overall I think the other elements of the card distract you from the odd skin creation.

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with this challenge. I hope you have a great day!
Stamps: Little Indian Betty from Simply Betty Stamps; Paper: Whisper White, Dark Chocolate, Kraft, Doodlebug Designs Happy Harvest; Ink: E01 Flamingo, E71Champagne, N3 Neutral Gray No. 3, E17 Reddish Brass, YG09 Lettuce Green, Y35 Maize, YR68 Orange, E13 Light Suntan, R24 Prawn; Accessories: Organdy Striped Ribbon, Pop Dots, Feathers

Simply Betty - Let Them Eat Cake!

Today I have a chance to share with you a creation I made using one of the newer released images from Simply Betty Stamps! Earlier this month Betty released this fun image called 'Let Them Eat Cake', and with the release came a challenge o create a card using colored hair. I got the chance to sit down an finish my card today and I just had to share!

I couldn't decide what colors to go with and then I saw a piece of this Coastal Cabana paper on my desk and used that as my jumping off point. By the time I had this hair done there was no turning back and I just love how this turned out. I don't usually color hair in unusual colors, but this one just seemed to come together quickly.

Thank you so much for checking out my creation today, I had so much fun with this challenge. I hope you have a great day!

Each month Betty at Simply Betty Stamps allows members of the FB Group to enter a contest using a freebie image, how could you go wrong with playing along?!

This month we got the choice between a 'good' mermaid and a 'bad mermaid' to use for the challenge. I kept going back and forth about which one to ask for, but I eventually picked Spike! The challenge is Good vs Evil, so create something using your selected image to be good, or in my case 'evil'! I went with this color combination of blues, oranges and purples. Not sure what drove me to these colors, but I think it really works well with this image. I know I wouldn't want to mess with her!
