MFT Challenge

Yesterday was a wonderful Release Party for My Favorite Things, I amde sure to stop by and spend some time with the ladies. As usual we had a lot of fun and this months Guest Designer Challenge was posted. I decided to create an entry for the challenge which was to created something with Animals. I was at work all day thinking about what to create and then after lunch it just came to me....A Milk Carton with Milk Duds and the cute Cow from Punny Farm! Thats it! So as soon as I got home I got to work on my 'Moo' studded red milk carton complete with four colorful cows, grass, and milk dud! Hope you like my creation, the challenge was a lot of fun!

Pretties Wednesday!

So this Wednesday the challenge is to make a masculine card...OMG! Do you know how hard that is with these stamps?! So I pulled out my Look Who's Perky stamp set from Paper Pretties and got stamping. While I was trying to decide which stamps to use I noticed that there were only two images in the set that I had yet to ink up. We can't have that now can we so I inked up those poor deprived stamps. I tried to stick to the browns and greens with this card adding in a little garnet and a small amount of teal to wrap up the color scheme. While this card was a challenge but I really like the way this card came out, a little more masculine then most of my cards, but I think it works. Hope you enjoy!
Stamps: Look Who's Perky from Paper Pretties; Paper: Taken With Teal, We R Memories Bobo Chic Funky Fix , Whisper White; Ink: BG10 Cool Shadow, E31 Brick Beige, E47 Dark Brown, R39 Garnet, YG03 Yellow Green; Accessories: Giga Scallop Oval Punch, Mega Oval Punch

Out on a Limb

One of my coworkers asked me to create a card for their Wife for Mother's Day and he wanted the card to be large. Sorry the image is so poor, I brought it to work and took a picture there, which was obviously a bad idea. I used the PaperTrey stamp set Out on a Limb and Gina K. Stamps sentiment 'Happy Mother's Day' that was part of the Kindred Greetings For Her. I like how this came out, he wanted a simple card that was mostly white, with accents of some colors. I went with PaperTrey's Sweet Blush for the light colors. The ribbon that flanks the side of the card over the binding I created (it holds together two sheets of 8.5 x 11 Bazzil cardstock) is from May Arts. Hope you enjoy the card, sorry I haven't posted, I am taking on a new task at work as an Assistant Manager in the region I work for so I have had little time to stamp, but hopefully I can attempt the Pretties Wednesday challenge tomorrow!

Tilda

I still have a large amount of stamps that I have yet to ink up, but I am trying to get those images stamped out as much as I can. I colored in this adorable Tilda from Magnolia Stamps on Monday and it has taken until now to actually complete this card, but its done! I used some of the cute Prima flowers that I own and never seem to use as well as one of the new sets from PaperTrey Garden of Life for the background on this card. I love how this card came out, not colors I typically use but they really seem to work well together. I also love how my shading really came out on this card, I seem to be improving on my Copic marker skills and I am thrilled. Like anything practice makes perfect, so maybe one day I will reach near perfect with these markers. I have been asked by a few people where I get my Copics from so I thought I would let you know. I joined Gina K. Copic club, from which I a getting the entire Copic Ciao Box "D". I have also ordered some of the Copic Sketch markers from electricPaperie, eBay (not my favorite but typically cheaper), and most recently my Copic Ciao markers have been coming from Hanna Stamps. There are many places to order these markers from, but I try to look for the larger varieties and the best price, if I am close with an order to be eligible for free shipping I look around...always a sucker for free shipping. Have a great one all!

Hanna Travels

Last night was the Hanna Stamps release party, I had plans of grandeur in creating a wonderful card for the challenge that was issued, but I ran out of time! I got home last night at 6:40 and had 20 minutes to create and post a card, oh my! I pulled out the colors for the challenge and got to coloring this Traveling Hanna image, which is pretty cute, only to find that my camera wasn’t working! EEEK! I had no idea what the problem was, before I knew it there was no more time and my camera was not cooperating. I went down and had dinner only to come back and find that I had been charging the camera battery and didn’t replace it in the camera…silly me! So by the time the party started I was able to take a picture and post the card I created, I love how I colored in this Hanna, but I don’t like the base at all, its just too simple and plain, but I had to try to create a card to be done in time. The party was a lot of fun and I ordered a few stamps, I mean how could I not order a stamp or two with those images!

Prettie Wednesday!

Silly me, I almost forgot that today was Wednesday which means it time for the Prettie Girls to issue a challenge. This week Joni, our faboulous illustrator, issued the challenge which was to use paper piecing. I LOVE this technique, and I use it all the time, in fact most of the cards I have been making recently are paper pieced.I decided to use another one of my new stamps and this time my card features the cute Sophia from the Rainy Day Friends Paper Pretties set. I used the same color scheme and paper from last night, but made a different style card and I think it came out nicely. I hope you are all enjoying these cards, I have a few cards and challeenges I want to compelte, so be sure to stop by again. I plan on attempting Julee's Mojo Monday Challenge and I have a few swap cards to create and share. Have a great one!

Pretties Challenge

Danielle over at Paper Pretties is hosting weekly challenges in the Paper Pretties forum, so although I am behind on the challenges I am giving them a go. The first challenge she posted was to create a tri fold card so I made one of the cards I had seen on SCS recently. I used my Simply Special set from Paper Pretties for the main image and PaperTrey cardstock and patterned paper. This is the first time I got the chance to use this new set from Paper Pretties and I love it, the image is clean and cute. Oh, and if you haven't seen or heard yet Christie has some big news to come soon, make to leave your guess as to why the Sophia she posted is special!

Blog Hopping!

Ladies do you know what day it is? Its PaperTrey Ink's Blog Hop Day! The 25th of every month bloggers create cards based on a challenge Nichole issues for that month and post about them. This month its all about the new line of patterned paper from PaperTrey and I was ready to play along!
I decided to use the patterns Nichole posted in the PaperTrey Forum as the base for a wonderful boquet of flowers. I used the patterned paper and stamped the rose type flower from the new set Garden of Life over the paper. I then cut out each image and stamped some leaves and stems on the card base using Spring Moss PTI ink.
I used dimensionals to give the card some 'pop' and added Summer Sunrise Grosgrain ribbon across the card base to ground the flowers. I then stamped the totally cute sentiment 'Friends are the flowers in the garden of life' in Summer Sunrise to complete my card. Make sure to visit the forum and check out the other wonderful creations!

Pretties Wednesday Meets Mojo

So many challenges to do and there is only so much time so today I combined the Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge and this weeks Mojo Monday. I also decided since it was a Pretties contest to use the always wonderful Sophia stamp 'Cuddle Me' as my main image. Each week one of the Pretties Girls issues a challenge, the last challenge that was compelted was to create a polka dot card, so I pulled out my Two Scoops paper from Basic Grey and got going. I love Julee's weekly Mojo Monday sketches so I used that sketch as the base for this card...hope you enjoy it!
Stamps: Cuddle Me from Paper Pretties, Ink: E00, E31, Y15, Paper: Two Scoops Basic Grey DP, PTI Spring Moss, SU Garden Green, SU Whisper White

Show Off!

I received all of my goodies from the latest PaperTrey release and I just had to play, so I decided to 'Show Off' by dressing Wade E. Bug up in some new gear. I used Summer Sunrise and Lemon Tart, the new colors from PaperTrey and this SUPER cute stamp from Paper Pretties. I love the colors and the overall look to this card, really nice dreads on a really nice day. The decorative paper is also from PaperTrey from their Father Knows Best collection, I think it goes perfectly with Mr. Wade, don't you? Enjoy ladies!

Starting today (Tuesday 15th April), Kim will be offering a 10% discount on ALL stamps on her site. Use the coupon code Tish at checkout to receive 10% off all the stamps in your shopping cart. (This discount is only for stamps, the other items in your cart will not be discounted.) The coupon code will run from Tuesday, April 15th until Friday, April 18th. A benefit has been planned to help the family offset their mounting medical bills and Kim will donate 10% of ALL proceeds (both from stamp sales and other items on the site) to the family at their April 26th benefit. I came home today and went through all my stamp sets to order the ones I had yet to buy, any bit helps. So do your part and check out the site to see what you can do.

Verve Visual

I have a long list of challenges I want to complete and today I gave the Verve Visual Honored Guest Challenge #2 Sketch a go. Julee always posts wonderful sketches on Mondays for her Mojo Monday (which I am SO behind on) but her Guest Challenge Sketches are even better! With this card I used the Verve Visual stamp set Heart to Heart for the main image and sentiment. I also used some Bella Baubles (or Robin's Nest Dew Drops) for a simple embellishment over the sentiment 'Hugs and Kisses'. This paper is so simple I thought it enhanced the overall look to the card plus the colors seem to work well together. Hope you enjoy and thank you for stopping by!

Did You Pajama?!

Last night the Pajama Party over at Paper Pretties was wonderful! All sorts of ladies joined in on the chatting fun while stamping away. Charmaine posted three challenges for all of us to play along with plus three new super cute stamp sets were released, to say the least I had a blast. The first challenge was to make a card using summer colors and summer as our inspiration so I did just that. I used my Flutter By set (from PP) to be the main image giving Sophia a red gingham dress. Then I used some bright green as accents on the card with my nestabilities scalloped oval and the ribbon I used for the background. You may recall these supplies all before as well....they are from past Paper Pretties monthly boxes. I was going through my supplies last night and I have all sorts of goodies left over from past boxes so I issued myself a little challenge. I had to use supplies from past boxes, the only thing in all three cards that was not from one of the past boxes were the coloring supplies and Sophia's gingham dress in this card.
The second challenge was to create a card using glossy cardstock in some way so I used it for the background paper. I used a sponge for the background and then stamped the entire sheet over with circles from the Paper Pretties set Sassy Circles. Then to tie it together I stamped the Cuddle Me Sophia a little dress and mounted her on light pink paper. Finishing it off with matching light pink ribbon and the Need a Cuddle? sentiment.
The last challenge issued last night was to create a long card which I always love looking at but never seem to make. I pulled out the Paper Pretties stamp set Look Who's Perky and some wonderful pastel papers and embellishments from past boxes. If you have not stopped by to see the new releases at Paper Pretties make sure to drop by and check them all out!

Pajama Party Time!

Ladies! Thank you for all the lovely comments you sent my way both here and on SCS, you are the best! Now are we all ready to party tonight? I think its time to kick back, jump in our jammies and join in all the fun at the Paper Pretties Pajama Party. We have a new website and forum over at Paper Pretties so be sure to register so you can join us, we would love to have you. There will be three challenges hosted by Charmaine, three new Paper Pretties stamp sets released and plenty of stamping fun. In that mode, I thought I would share the February Bella Box card from Paper Pretties featuring Saycheeseabella! Isn't she cute?! Christie does a great job on these boxes, the supplies are top notch and so versatile. I also created a card using the box supplies with my own spin. I love the floral paper from this kit, but I thought the striped paper worked betted with the color scheme. I used my distresser on the edged and some of the same ribbon I used on the monthly card to bring out the rust color backing. The colors in this paper are so calming, I love them! Hope to see you all tonight, its almost time to party!

Sophia Flies

Guess what! I have some big news! But first...its card time! I just had to pull out my Sophia stamp from PaperPretties, she really needed some air. I love the line of PaperPretties Stamps, especially these adorable little Sophia stamps, she is one of the cutest stamp lines out there. So this card features last months Sophia release, make sure to stop by the Paper Pretties forum on Friday night for the Pajama Party and the next stamp release, it promises to be a blast and I can actually attend this one! Now for the big news…Christie has invited me to be a guest designer for Paper Pretties for the next few months! Woo-Hoo! I will be joining all of the wonderful Paper Pretties Ladies and I am thrilled and honored to say the least. My first thought was that it was a delayed April Fool’s joke, but Christie assured me it was not, it is April after all. So this card is the first of many to come I hope that you will stop by and see what I whip up for you to feast your eyes upon. Enjoy ladies!

Birthday Blue

One of my close friends at work is having a birthday tomorrow and I realized I had yet to use any of my new PaperTrey stamps. I decided to pull out my Its A Celebration set and get stamping. Now, she is one of the people who helped me pick my cards for the Gina K. swap, so I wanted to do something nice for her, but something different then what I have already shown her. Her favorite color is blue, so I used a few different shades and some liquid applique to add some more dimension. She also loved the embossed paper I showed her on another card I had created, hopefully she likes my take on her birthday card! Enjoy Ladies!

Gina K Come Out and Play!

I am having so much fun with some of the Gina K. stamps sets I picked up recently. I joined the swap being hosted on SCS for the new releases (from March) and took two spots. I wanted to make some wonderful cards with these stamps, I mean Gina K. Stamps just scream to be put to good use, so I went for two different looks. While I can not post images of the cards that I am sending in for the swap I can post my reject card. Okay, now your wondering why I say my reject card, right? Well, since this group of swappers is totally awsome I wanted to create some really nice cards for these wonderful ladies so I decided to make a run through card and then a final edition. Typically when it comes to swaps the first card I create is the card I use, sort of an inspirational thing I guess, but in this case I thought a little more effort was worth it. I created a model card using the Spring Blooms set and two different options for the Framed Flowers set, after some thought I revised the Spring Blooms and picked one of the two options for the Framed Flowers. Since I am not sending this card in I figured I would share it with you, keep in mind that this is my 'reject' card option...lol...I showed both cards I created to my parents and a few ladies from work, everyone, even my boyfriend picked the same card. I mean how could I pick this one over that sort of responce? Once I am allowed to I will post my swap creations, until then I hope this card can hold you over. The main image is from the Gina K. Stamps set Framed Flowers, all the paper is PaperTrey Prefect Match, and the ribbon is May Arts Grosgrain. Enjoy ladies!

MFT Box Cards!

I created the February sample from the instructions Christie sends along with all your supplies and my own spin on the contents. The card above is the sample of the month, complete with adorable little card charms and thick red ribbon. Isn't this card lovely? I love how the papers come together, I even used my SU! markers for this one, it was a little odd to not use my Copics, but I had to give these guys a shot once in a while. The second card is a simple square cad using the same supplies but in a different way. I love this set from My Favorite Things, "Ride Um' Cowgirl" was the mini set from March, isn't it cute! I haven't been posting cards, but that doesn't mean I haven't been creating. I joined the Gina K. Stamps swap that was posted in the Company forums over on SCS. I took two spots and have been spending my time getting these cards ready, they are almost all done! When everyone receives their cards I can post them and trust me you are going to love them! Hope to post again soon!

PaperPretties Boxes!

Today I received my PaperPretties February boxes! I am a subscriber to both the My Favorite Things Package as well as the Stamping Bella package and I love getting all these goodies in the mail. Whenever I get one of these packages I post a picture of all box contents, the card sample of the month and my own creation. I didn't get a chance between work (Architecture) and work (Library) to make any samples, but I plan on creating with these stamps when I get a chance. Both boxes have a lot of fun goodies to play with and Christie does a wonderful job coordinating everything for us. Although these goodies look oh so tempting, I will be creating a card for Mojo Monday that Julee hosts first. I have Hanna stamped and ready to go at home, so come back soon, I hope to complete this weeks sketch challenge soon!

Cupcakes!

Next on the list is creating a few cards with the new Stampendous Cupcake set,it is just so cute! I had a hard time getting started with this stamp set, and I don't know why but I think the card I created worked out nicely. I used Cameo Coral and some fun decorative paper I received as a gift. I created two of these cards since I have a lot of birthdays coming up that need cards. I plan on continuing the brithday card creation by using some of the new PaperTrey Ink stamps, inks, and papers released recently. I also want to try this stamp set out again, I think I can do better then what I created today, but time will tell. I hope you stop by soon to see more creations!

Cleaning Hanna

I ordered five Hanna stamps set with the last release, with that special going on how could I resist? I picked up two previously released stamp sets and three new ones, making this cute Hanna cleaning set. I thought I was going to hate it....I mean a card with a cute girl cleaning on it, I thought it was a little wrong....but I gave it a shot. I love how this card turned out, not my typical card, but defintly fun! Doesn't this card look cute? I thought the paper I used looked like wall paper and works well with the image. I have a few birtday cards I am creating using the cupcake set, then some with the PaperTrey Birthday sets....tune in soon for more!

Running Down the List....

So, there were all sorts of requests. So I am going to make them all! That's right, you heard me.....I am making all the cards you ladies added to the list. Frist up? Gruffies! The first reply to my post was a request for Gruffies so without further ado.... I don't know about you, but I never seem to have time to create a baby card when I need it, so I thought this stamp would be best for a baby boy card. I used my corner round to create a scalloped edge along the bottom of the card and mounted my cute 'Beary Big Yawn' stamp on some simple dotted paper. I also colored the same image for a baby girl card, but that one is still in the process, I can't pick a paper to use for it! So what comes next? Stop by tomorrow I should have a Hanna Stamps card to share. I picked up the Cleaning Hanna set, so I will share that card next, then cupcakes are in the wings! More to come ladies, so get ready!

Stamping Away!

I have so many new stamps that I have received recently that I can't decide what to stamp with first! So I am asking you...what would you like to see first?

-Gina K. Stamps
-Hanna Stamps
-PaperTrey
-My Favorite Things
-PaperPretties
-Stamping Bella
-Gruffies
-Stampendous Cupcake set (from eP)

Please let me know what you think I should try out first, the one with the most 'votes' I will use next. I may even select a few ladies who give me their feed back to win the cards I create....*wink* *wink*

Have a great day ladies, and choose wisely...I need to stamp and I need you help to make such a critical decision.

Delayed Easter Mojo

I finally finished the two cards that I was working on and having trouble with. I used the layout from Julee's Mojo Monday sketch, yes it was posted Monday, but better late then never. I used two color schemes and the same layout on both cards. The first card is all pinks and yellows, I think these colors really emphasize this wonderful image from Gina K., I love the contrast of the eggs to the flowers in this one. The second card uses the same layout with purples and a few hints of pink to brighten up the card a bit. I love the little prima flowers I used as corner accents on both cards. I am loving discovering my Primas again, I have masses, but I never use them. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and got to spend some time with your family. Enjoy Ladies!

Quickie Easter Cards

With Easter tomorrow I realy had to sit down and create some fun springy Easter cards to give to my family with their Easter goodies. So I pulled out my 'Baskets of Happiness' stamp set from Gina K. Stamps and started going to town!. The first card I created uses all bules, greens and purples for a real subtle mix. I used my Giga and Mega punches to mat this basket onto the card base and added some violet brads to the four corners of the background paper. The second card uses the same layout with bright colors instead of subtle colors. The best thing about these cards is that the image lends it self to so many possibilities. I also am in the creating phase of two more Easter cards, when those are compelte I will post them, until then enjoy!

Mail Call!

I think today calls for a little mail call! Do you love those days when you get packages? I know I LOVE it, the packages typically make my day, no matter how bad work was during the day seeing something no matter a box, a letter, a card or just something fun brightens my day. Yesterday I had to stay late at work for an extra three hours to help one of the office departments complete a presentation rendering, I was pretty out of it when I went home but on my stairs was a brown box. Now what was inside that box….PaperTrey! I love receiving stamps from PaperTrey, their packaging is so neatly done that I can’t help but notice the attention to detail in even the little things. Each stamp set is wrapped individually in tissue paper and cute plastic box that holds the stamps, the case, the instructions and the labels for the case. Then there is packing paper around all the included items so things don’t move around in transit….honestly they do an excellent job. I spent some time last night unpacking each set and adding each stamp to their case, then of course I had to organize them by volume and set number. I had yet to order Mixed Messages and Out on a Limb, both of which have been on my list, this month I finally ordered both sets as well as four of the newly released sets. I can not wait to get playing with these stamps…hopefully I can post something tomorrow to share.
Then today when I came home my new Hanna Stamps had arrived as well! I ordered 5 sets and I can't wait to get stamping, the new sets were all so cute! Since I was showing my new PaperTrey and new Hanna I just HAD to show my new Gina K....its only fair to share mail time with everyone. I just ordered new MFT stamps and new PaperPretties stamps, so those are still to come. Hope you liked taking a look at my pretty new stamps!

Bella Time

As promised here are the fun cards I created for Manda Montly Bella Card Swap. I really love my Bellas, I think they come close to being my favorite stamp type, but I have to be in the mood for Bella creations, do you know what I mean? The first card is a fun Cupcakabella card in purple. Purple is a color I never seem to use but I wanted to give it a chance on this card. I used my Copics and my Spica markers to create the colored image, so if you can't see it this card is super shinny. The Prima flower is from a flower rack I ordered when Prima had a special of buy one get one free going on...love these flowers! This second card uses pink, which I have more paper for than I can manage. The decorative paper is from Basic Grey and uses shades of pink and green with a little brown accent. I love my ticket punch from SU! and I use it whenever I can. I also added a 'happy birhtday stampingbella sentiment in the word windoow punch from SU!. Hope you like my cards for this month, they were a lot of fun to create.

Thank you all!

Ladies, quick post for now, with no card to share, but I just had to post this...THANK YOU. Every day at work (even though I shouldn’t) I come on to check my blog and the comments you make. I have had a lot of spam comments recently so I have had to put a moderation of comments on, although I hate doing it. You all make me smile, I create cards in my ‘spare’ time and I am glad that the people I am sharing them with enjoy them as much or possibly more in some cases than I do. You have all been super supportive of everything I have done and for that I am blesses. Don’t worry, I will continue to enter in all sorts of challenges, they keep me on my toes! Tonight I have more running around (parents are on vacation so I am in charge and super busy), but when I get home or tomorrow morning I will be posting the Bella cards I created this month for the monthly Bella Card Swap that Manda on SCS is hosting. A little sneak peek of what is to come…Cupcakeabella and Mwahabella are on their way!

PaperPretties

On Sunday night PaperPretties released two new stamps in conjunction with their Pajama Party, I attended the party but I did not create cards for the challenges. I wasn't feeling up to stamping on Sunday night, I am feeling much better but now I don't have time to stamp! Christie picked the newest Cutie Pie for PaperPretties Sunday night as well, and although I entered this round, I was no selected, but don't worry I will keep on trying! I thought I would share with you the three cards I created using the coffee set that PaperPretties released in late February. These cards I created a backaground paper for by stamping a pattern from the coffee bean pile that comes with this stamp set. I had a lot of fun turning the coffee beans in different directions to get various looks to the paper I was creating. I colored all parts of these images with Copic markers, then I went over the sugar bowls and the coffee pots with a Spica clear glitter pen...I love this thing! I don't know if you can see them, but these pens really create a nice shine to a fun image. I created the last card before I created the yellow coffee pot card, there was something about the coral that I didn't like so I tried a similar card with a differnt color to try and get better results. I like the layout of the coral card more, but the colors of the yellow card...oh well, you can't win them all.

Gruffies!

Have you seen them yet?! If you haven’t I advise you to run in the other direction before you spot them…..Gruffies! Have you heard of these yet? The creators of House Mouse and Happy Hoppers have released a new line of stamps called Gruffies and I love the ones I now own! Of the newly released Gruffies I purchased five wonderful stamps from my HM and HH dealer, now my Gruffies dealer…Dick! If you have yet to meet Dick then by all means stop by HM Stamps and get to know the fun guy behind the masses of stamps! I am a subscriber to the monthly newsletter, which has been known to get my check book in trouble at times but has always been well worth it.The last newsletter that Dick sent our way told us all about this new line of stamps coming out and I just couldn’t help myself! I had to order a few fun stamps to hold me over, I mean how could I resist their cute little faces and fun fur, I did what any sensible stamper would do. I pulled out my new Gruffies stamps to create this fun spring card for a swap I signed up for, I hope you like it. I used a StampingBella sentiment, using the ‘Hugs’ part of ‘Warm Hugs’ and adding a few Dew Drops under the sentiment, creating an underline that I think really sets this card apart from the rest. I used some fun springy colors and I had a blast coloring in this cute new guy, hope you like it! I colored in this image with my Copic markers and I love how it turned out, the shading I did by adding layers of the same color to different areas.

Its Raining....It Pouring....

the old man is old....LOL

Two weeks ago we had a 50th Birtday Party to go to and my Dad was in charage of getting the gift and card. Now, the birtyday boy requested that we bring food for the mission that he can donate, so my Mom got together lots of things for the mission. Thus of course leaving my Dad with the daunting task of getting a card for his long time friend. Needless to say 15 minutes, and I mean 15 minutes, before we are supposed to be there he asks if I have a card he can use. Now, I always have cards, piles and piles of cards as many card makers do, but I did not have any guy birthday cards! So what did I do? I made one! Thats right, in under 15 minutes I created a fun birthday card which the birthday boy laughed about for many time to come. I knew what I had to do, I ran to my stamps and found my Gina K. 'You Know Your Old When...' set, it was prefect! I picked a color, some paper, the wonderful sentiments and colored a fun party guy for the card front. Inside the sentiment reads 'when the hair in your ears is longer than the hair on your head'.....he loved it! Out of all the cards that he received he kept showing people my quick creation, and I am happy to say that it brought a smile to may faces that night!

More Kit Club

Ladies I am still sick…I hate begin sick, don’t you?! I have been coughing, but I am getting better, in fact I went to work today which wasn’t fun, but I had to go. We only get five sick days a year, and yesterday was the third day I had to use this year….not good! On the plus side I have more pictures to share with you of the never-ending card we made last weekend at Kit Club.My demo is wonderful and she enjoys challenging us whenever she can, and she did just that this past Kit Club Meeting. The never-ending card was so much fun and it wasn’t too hard, there were just a lot of pieces to stamp and attach to the card base. You really have to like someone to send one of these cards their way, a beautiful card, but a long process.I took a picture at ever stopping point to let you see the entire card, its hard to see how it opens, but it continues to open at every face. I love the colors that were used the green and the yellows are really springy which I think we all need with all the crazy snow we have been getting. Now don’t worry, I have plenty of other cards to share with you, hopefully I will get the chance to post another creation tomorrow! See you then!

Kit Club

This weekend we had our monthly KIT Club meeting and it was so much fun! We created three cards, today I am sharing the first two cards we made and I will be leaving the third card for tomorrow, its a never ending card so it requires a lot of pictures. I haven't been posting because I am sick....ick! I have a cough and I feel all horrible, not fun at all.

The first card is a mini card, a simple 3 x 3, and it is oh so cute! We used some of the new SU glitter, although I must say that I am partial to stickles more than glitter, much cleaner if you know what I mean. I spent that night and next day removing little pieces of green glitter from everything.

The second card uses white craft ink and pure color pencils to create a layered look that I just adore! We stamped with the White Craft Ink first then colored over each petal with several different colors to get that in depth look. Finishing the image off by adding white gel pen outlines and dots....love it! I have lots of other cards to share so stop by again!

A little bit of Gina K.

So I ordered this set and only played with it once, now that just doesn’t sound fair to me. I mean the poor phone has just been calling out for some company! This past weekend I decided to create two different Gina K. Designs cards, this one being the first one I am sharing with you. This phone set is so young and fun, plus it relates to a lot of different people, always a great thing! I used a piece of decorative paper that I had left over from the Bella Kits I created this weekend and decided to make a opening panel card, the layout is a bit different but I think it adds a lot of character to the card. I colored in the main image after stamping ‘U R the Best’ as the ‘Text Message’ on the phone in browns and blues, looking to pick up some of the color in the DP behind it. I also used Crystal Effects on all the buttons and the screen to add the dimension I thought the phone needed. Then to tie it all together I added some cream ribbon, again bringing out some of the colors in the decorative paper, to complete the card. Enjoy ladies!Also....Ladies, guess what?! I've been awarded the 'E' for Excellence Award from Heather at (http://inkonmyear.blogspot.com/), she emailed me last week to let me know but I have been trying to fix my posting problems so I could share some cards with you before posting about this award. How exciting is that! I am supposed to pick 5 other lucky ladies to share this award with, but I am having the hardest time picking only 5 wonderful ladies, I went through the blogs I browse and picked 4, leaving one spot open for you! If you haven't been selected yet consider yourself chosen....The ladies I selected to receive this award are....

Julee – Poetic Artistry
Christie – Little Pink Flowers
Julie – Stamping With Julie
Jill – Ink, Scrap and Stamp…

It was so hard to pick just a few, there are just too many talented ladies out there!
