Dog Days of Summer at Bugaboo!

It is the 4th Saturday of the month at Bugaboo Stamps do you know what that means?! That's right today the Design Team is all sharing with you cards for the second challenge of the month! Our challenge is 'Dog Days of Summer' (or any animal), using all neutrals and one color of your choice! To participate in the challenge please create a card or project using out Dog Days of Summer theme in all neutral colors plus one color of your choice and link it to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog!

This challenge is also being sponsored by Stamping Dragon Designs! They are offering one winner 4 digi images! Isn't that wonderful! So not only do you get a chance at these free digis from Stamping Dragon Designs, but if you play along with this challenge, you also have the chance to win Bugaboo Stamps prizes, and I don't know about you but I love prizes! If you participate in the challenge you have a chance to win the following prizes:

1st prize - 7 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
2nd prize - 4 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
3rd prize - 2 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice

Now we do have some rules for our challenges, so here they are for you to refer to:

1.) Have fun!
2.) Multiple entries are fine - but each one must be a completely different card or project.
3.) Combining challenges is completely acceptable, so long as you follow our theme.
4.) You must use a NEW card/project! Back-linking of old cards/projects is NOT acceptable.
5.) You may use any stamp from any stamp company. However, you get TWO CHANCES to win for each card/project you link using a Bugaboo Image. To get a second chance please enter your name in Mr. Linky Twice (ex. Name1 and Name 2)
6.) You MUST post a direct link to the project or card you wish to enter in this challenge. General links to your blog will not be counted. PLEASE TURN OFF WORD VERIFICATION!!!

We like to be able to comment on all of your amazing work, but Word Verification hinders this process for us. You can easily change your blog settings to monitor your comments if you are using it to avoid comment spam. Thank you for your understanding! Be sure to leave your great creations with Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog! I can not wait to see what you create for our new challenge!

For my card today I pulled out this adorable monkey image, from our Balloon Critters and got to work! Something about this image screamed purple to me and I went with it, adding purple to the adorable balloon this monkey is hanging from. I also went through my paper pads to find a great Halloween DP from DCWV, in fact this paper has purple shiny dots all over it that really make it pop off the paper, it gives the card another dimension I think. I also used a sponge and my Soft Sky ink pad to create a sort of sky look to the main image, gives it some realism, you know for a monkey hanging from a balloon.

I also made this card to enter and play along with the new Wild Orchid Challenge, the current challenge is to create something and 'Make it Sparkle', I thought this paper would be perfect for that, so I think it works on the sparkle!

I do hope you like my creation, enjoy the rest of the Design Teams work and be sure to play along! Be sure to go and check out all the fun at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog! Have a fabulous weekend too!
