There She Goes

I picked up some of these cute There She Goes stamp sets when the company first launched a few months ago, but for some reason I never inked them up. I have been following the company and they have a challenge this month to create a card and not only decorate the outside like we normally do but to also design the inside of the card. A task I don't complete often but I thought it would be a lot of fun to try, so I pulled out the stamp set 'Home is where the heart is' from There She Goes and got to work. Since I was going to create a 'Congratulations on your new home' I picked some browns and oranges to create a simple and sothing card. I wanted some simple lines and a good contrast between the colors I used. Hope you like today's creation, and stop by tomorrow for a Paper Pretties card to celebrate the December 1st release!

Pearly Pretties

Two weeks ago the wonderful Jessie challenged the Pretties Girls to use pearls, so I set out looking through my supplies. I decided to use the Pearl Dew Drops I have to accent whatever card I created and looking through my stamps my Simply Special set needed some love! I use the main image of this super cute watering can for my card focus using a Pearl Dew Drop for the center of my flower. I love the pastel tones that I used in this card, I wanted something light and calming, I think these colors work perfectly for such a feel. Its Pretties news time! Here is some information you need to know all about:

Unity Addicts Challenge

Now normally the Unity Addicts challenge falls on a Wednesday but with Thanksgiving being on Thursday this week the challenges and Hip Hop have been changed. So today the Unity Addict Challenge was posted and the challenge was to create a 'Thank You' card using Red and White, so I decided to join in on all the fun! I went through all my Unity Stamps and decided to use one of the stamp sets I have yet to ink up, so today its all about Floral Fantastical, which I love! The whimsical flow of the images are just great in this set, and I took advantage of three of the many stamps included in this set. I sorted through all of my red copic markers and decided to pick three shades that I thought would compliment the card stock and the images themselves. Hope you like today's creation, I had a lot of fun joining in on today's challenge!

Going Askew

I can not believe that the last Pretties Weekly Challenge was PWC number 29! Its just crazy how many excellent challenges Danielle has put together for everyone and this week is just as amazing. This weeks challenge is to follow another great sketch, which I added below. When I saw this sketch I had to pick up my Pretties images and go to town, I decided to create a card using the December Stamp of the Month, Sending You Love Sophia. There is still time to sign up so that this adorable girl can come to your door step soon, you have until the 30th at midnight to sign up, so get going. Be sure to let Christie know that I sent you on your way to enjoy these great stamps! I decided to use the color purple as my main focus using two different shades and some great glittery background paper. I thought it needed a little something so I added three purple dew drops to the bottom of the card. Hope you enjoy today's creation!

Some Colorful Snow!

Today I thought I would share another creation I made for a swap on SCS, this card was created for a Snowman Swap that was hosted by Heather (chris1josh2). I was lucky enough to meet Heather this past summer out our 'Ho Convention' and while I only got to hang out with the ladies for one day I had a blast! When Heather posted that she would be hosting a Snowman swap I just had to join! I had ordered several High Hopes Snowmen and had never gotten the chance to ink them up, so I knew this swap would be the perfect excuse to use some lonely rubber. This little guys name is Dapper Dan and I just love how chipper he is! I decided when I signed up for this swap I was going to have to use other colors besides white, when you think of snowmen you think of the color white, but I wanted to try something different. Instead I went for a holiday theme dressing Dapper Dan in red and green for the holiday season and using some of this fun glittery holiday paper. Such a simple card was a lot of fun to create, hope you like today's shared card, I know I had a lot of fun dressing him up for the holidays!

Hip Hop Hangover

Yesterday was Thrursday, so you know what that means! Unity hosted Hip Hop Thursday and of course there were two great challenges issued by Jeanne for us to play along with. The first challenge was to create a square card so I decided to use my new November Kit of the Month set that recently arrived in the mail. So far I am loving this set, it has so many cute parts to it, I mean whats not to love! The second challenge was to create a card with snow on it, so I decided to use the holiday bundle I purchased from Unity a few weeks ago, and I just love this little stamp! Its called Sleigh Ride and it is of so cute! I think from all the stamps that arrived in the bundle this is my favorite, but they really are all great! Hope you liked my Hip Hop Hangover post, I know that these challenges are a lot of fun for me, so if you have yet to play along what are you waiting for! Hip Hop happens every week at Unity and in the SCS Unity Members Forum, beginning at 10am CST and ending at Midnight, you'll love it!

Thinking of You

I was going through my pictures today and found a few things I had yet to share! So today I decided to pick this tin I altered a few weeks ago with the intention of entering a Design Team call, needless to say I never finished the other two creations, but I did complete this one! I used one of my Whiff of Joy stamps to create this cute little tin, she is called Melinda and she is super cute! I used pink and blue copics to create the multitoned image. I love how her hair came out, the tones look really nice in her hair and I think it really works. Hope you like this little tin, I had a lot of fun creating it and adding little touches like the prima flowers and the ribbon boarder, all sorts of cuteness, and of course these stamps are adorable! Hope you like today's creation, be sure to come tomorrow I'll be posting my Hip Hop creations!

A Bit of Motion!

Two weeks ago Charmine issued the Pretties Girls challenge to create an interactive card, how fun is that!? I had the hardest time deciding which card to create, I thought waterfall, spinner, slider, those rotating ones....but in the end I decided to try a card I had never attempted, a surprise pop up! I love trying new techniques when I can so I thought I should try this one out and what better why to create a fun Pretties Girls challenge then to try something new! I pulled out my Sweets for the Sweet stamp set and got cracking!I really like this set, but with all the recent wonderful sets, this poor set has been left uninked, and well we can't have that now can we! I decided to use the cookie stamp to create a cookie filled background paper and layer in on some Pacific Point paper. I typically don't buy the new In Colors from SU, but I am loving several colors this time around, if you hadn't noticed. I love these two colors together and they both go great with Chocolate Chip Cookies, but then again everything goes great with Chocolate Chip Cookies! Hope you like today's creation, be sure to check out the other Pretties Girls Interactive cards, they are just super!

A Little Tee

I thought I would share another one of my Little Tee creations with you! I created three different cards using Mel's Little Tee set from Gina K for Gabby's Little Tee swap, today's card is from the 'Naughty' group. I wasn't sure what to create for this group, but after a lot of thinking about it I came up with this pink and black card. I love the Little Tees so much, in fact this tank top was from the main image in the Little Tee set that I cut down to be a tank top. I stamp the main Tee image on this great Rock Star Paper Pack paper then cut out the tank top and outlined the sides that were cut. I then used this fun pink paper to create a Nestabilities background which I then mounted on more of this great Rock Star paper. The it needed more....so I went through the included words in Mel's set to fun 'Go Big Boy', which works perfectly with this little tee! I used my Nestabilities Ribbon Slider Dies to create this cute little Ribbon Slider, then of course I needed ribbon! So off to my ribbon stash I went and after digging around for a while I found this great May Arts ribbon that I have been hoarding away for a special card. I decided that it worked perfectly for the overall look and used it. Hope you like today's creation, I had a lot of fun with these cards for Gabby's swap and I just had to share them some more!

Angel Wings

I hope you all had as much fun with the Hip Hop yesterday as we all did! Today is monday so its time to share another Pretties creation! This time I decided to use my Angel Wings Sophia, who I love, and make a simple holiday card. I used some of this great winter paper I got from the Paper Pretties Store and some simple ribbon, brads, and of course some pop dots. I colored this beautiful little angel what seems like forever ago, but I found her again today so I had to dress her up. I hope you like today's creation! Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Jillian!

Its Jillian's birthday today! That's right one of the Pretties Girls is celebrating a birthday so we are having a party! That's right, a virtual birthday party to celebrate the occasion. This time were are doing things a bit differently, we are having a blog hop! Woo-Hoo! The first Pretties Blog Hop! If you are starting here, please hop on over to the Paper Clip (our super new and awesome blog) to start. If you are joining my blog from Jacque's blog, welcome! I was asked to bring the streamers to the party so I decided to use the Stamp of the Month, Trim the Tree. Isn't she super cute?! Not only can she decorate a tree but she can help decorate for a mean birthday party! Thank you for stopping by, be sure to continue the Pretties Birthday Blog Hop by continuing on to Jessica D's blog! Shake Your Tail Feathers

This week I got the chance to play along with the Wednesday Challenge in the Unity Forum and I had a blast! I really do enjoy card challenges, they make me think of new things to do, plus if its a company sponsored one I use more of my stamps! So when this challenge to create a child's card using Primary colors was posted I jumped right on board! I pulled out my Hey Chick stamp set and got to work coloring these adorable little birds! It was the first time I got the chance to ink up this set and I am loving the results, I will definitely be using this stamp set again soon, its just so cute! I also love to use this type of bow, you start off making a bow as you would normally, but instead of cutting the ribbon even on both sides, you adhere the bow to the card and run the other leg of the bow to the end of your paper. I've tried this technique a few times and I just love the results, no I did not see this some where, just did it one day. Well I hope you like today's shared creation. Hope you all have a great weekend, I'm off to watch my brother's football game...Go Vikings!

Watercolor Geraniums

This month the MFT Guest Designer Challenge was to create a card using water coloring. I was having a hard time deciding which set to use, when the new releases arrived in the mail, and they are all too cute to deny! So I decided to ink up this new Scented Geranium and not only water color, but use a few layers to give the image more depth. I used my aqua painter to watercolor the Scented Geranium then paint over another copy and layers they two together to give the card more layers. Then to make the main image sparkle I added my Spica pen and layered everything on Pacific Point and Spring Moss paper. I think the colors really work well with this image. Then I added some fun shiny May Arts ribbon and this great background paper from Basic Grey. I really liked my creation this month, hope you liked it too!

One Layer?!

Two weeks ago Jules challenged the Pretties Girls to create a one layer card with score lines on it...talk about a challenge! I had the hardest time picking which stamp to use and then what to do with it. I finally decided on Angel Wings Sophia and framing her with some score lines and then finishing off the look with some pretty May Arts ribbon. The biggest problem I had with this card is I could not decide on how to color in Sophia, I ended up deciding to use my Copics for her hair and shin and color in the rest of the image using Shimmerz. I am loving these Shimmerz, if you hadn't realized yet, they add such a nice shine to any image, and they seem to work perfectly on this card. Hope you enjoy today's creation and be sure to check out the other Pretties Girls creations, they are sure to be wonderful as they are every week!

Little Tees!

A few months ago I signed up for a Little Tees swap hosted by Gabby on SCS and I took three spots. Today I thought I would share one of my creations for the swap, with the three spots I took one in each groups which were humor, naughty and nice. This card was my nice spot, I wanted to use a winter theme, but I also wanted to use some colors I typically don't use with winter so I pulled out a few plum colors and got to work. I hope you like it, I had a lot of fun creating this card, in fact I love all these cute stamps! I have a few more Little Tee creations I will be sharing with everyone soon, hope you enjoy them all! Have a great weekend!

I decided to use my Angel Wings Sophia since I haven't been able to all month, its been so hard not to grab this little cutie and ink her up! So without further ado, I give you Angel Wings Sophia in all her scored glory. To add more shine I used not only my Butter Cream Shimmerz but also this super pretty May Arts Sheer Ribbon. Party Fun!

So today I thought I would share one of the cards I created for the Paper Pretties Party! We had a blast the other night and if you weren't there then you missed out! The first challenge of the night was to create a gatefold card, definitely a fun fold that I've used a few times but that I was thrilled to try again. I decided to make this card simple and I used the new set The Nativity as my main image, isn't this little guy the cutest! I think these stamps are too cute for their own good. Hope you had a great day!

A Little Fun

I've been joining more swaps recently, and one of the last swaps I joined was a color challenge where you had to send your secret sister six cards based on her color preferences and card type. My secret sister had selected black, teal and blue so here are two of the creations. The first one is a simple card I created using on of the super cute The Cats Pajama's birthday stamp sets! I love this little image, and the penguins are just too cute! I used a few primas to spice it up a bit.
The second card I created uses one of the cutest little girls that is a High Hopes stamp, one of their older stamps but still wonderful! I used my copics to create a super cute teal colored image with some royal blue accents. So I hope you like today's cards, I will be posting more details about last nights release party tomorrow! Have a great Sunday!
